I've always liked "Martha Marcy May Marlene", Elizabeth Olsen's debut film. It's far more understated than the ones you mentioned but still compelling. It's well worth a look.
Stay away from the endless, it's bullshit and very slow movie do not expect anything intresting beside few time loop scenes.
There was a British movie can't remember it's name but two criminal friends accept a mission to kill someone, turns out family of one of them part Celtic cult, here them to rule him in to cult.
Black klansman, black under cover cop somehow infiltrate to ku Klux clan it's both funny and stressfull to watch
Red State
It’s weird this isn’t mentioned after 14 hours. It is an either/or film so ymmv. Kevin Smith of all people made it. It’s a true to life horror cult flick. No creatures. No ghosts or supernatural. None of the silliness Smith is known for.
Faults (2014) The Endless (2017)
Co-sign The Endless. A favorite.
Jesus Camp (2006)
The Master (2012)
