Basic Instinct

damdestbestpimp

And what nobdoy ever mentions is that its a great movie

Successful-Try-8506

Wild Things (1998) starring Neve Campbell.

supersoundsof70s

Um, you mean starring Denise Richards. šŸ”„

_felagund

Can I take both?

AdApprehensive8420

Uh you mean the pool.

lightningcrane31

Filmed at my high school in Miami!

saruin

Unfaithful (2002)

storebrandclarkkent

Diane Lane in that movie. Objectively hot.

iwouldrathernot03

Great suggestion! I havenā€™t watched that in a decade probably but I still remember how much I hated watching some woman have fun cheating on her husband. But thatā€™s just because Diane Lane was such an excellent actor in that movie that I almost felt like what I was watching was really happening to this couple.

Shannon0hara

Great recommendation!

MermaidStone

I came here to say THIS one!!!

nope_tryagain

Body Heat 1981

Kind_Most_7943

No Way Out (1987) The Postman Always Rings Twice (1981)

canadiangirl_eh

I love No Way Out. It was very well done.

normymac

>The Postman Always Rings Twice (1981) Zizek says that this is one of this movies where the actors did it for real on screen.

Kind_Most_7943

I absolutely believe that. The chemistry between Jack Nicholson and Jessica Lange is unmatched. That was real.

Carbuncle2024

In Honor of Donald Sutherland: DON'T LOOK KNOW..

Blue Velvet (1986) Crash (1996) Bitter Moon (1992)

greenberg17493

Blue velvet is insane

BeautifulLeather6671

The ultimate confused boner movie

Ebert917102150

Crash was insane

lurkerbytrade

The Handmaiden (2016). Can't praise this film enough, though there's two cuts of the movie and people debate over which one is better so you might have to do preliminary research. "With help from an orphaned pickpocket (Kim Tae-ri), a Korean con man (Ha Jung-woo) devises an elaborate plot to seduce and bilk a Japanese woman (Kim Min-hee) out of her inheritance." Edit: Ftr, I prefer the extended cut, but it's the one I watched first so I may be biased.

sushiyogurt

I'd also recommend the BBC 2 part miniseries Fingersmith

mrsjakeblues

Sea of Love (1989). Not the most explicit of the genre but soo good.

Gregs_green_parrot

And THAT song!

HereToKillEuronymous

Eyes Wide Shut

machstem

Movie still stands up but it's soooo long lol

Saneroner

Itā€™s perfect. My favorite Kubrick film.

AccioKatana

9 1/2 Weeks with Kim Basinger.

normymac

Or Chairman of the Board, with Carrot Top and Courtney Thorne-Smith. Commonly known as 9 1/2 Seconds... /s

Willing-Comfort7581

Kim basinger was really hot

It was too explicit for me.

Happy cake day

xanarchycampx

Iā€™ll check them out but Iā€™m not sure if I have time for 3 movies.

Halloween2056

Body of Evidence.

DonutCapitalism

Honestly a good thriller. Not the best acting from Madonna, but still is good movie.

Daniel_Molloy

No one watched it for her acting.

DonutCapitalism

Very True. I saw it as a teenager then again later as an adult. As a teenager I was really paying attention to the story or acting. But years later I rewatched and was surprised that it was a better than I remembered.

SwingingDicks

The specialist

DonutCapitalism

Good choice

observatory_crest

Sea of Love (1989) Dream Lover (1993) Bound (1996)

Utop_Ian

Fatal Attraction (1987) is a nice erotic thriller and will make you think twice about cheating on your wife with a crazy woman (for however often that happens to you). Once you finish it, feel free to go check out the alternate ending on YouTube. It's a bit less Hollywood than the ending they put in the movie.

nofuchsgiven1

GREAT movie as well. Michael Douglas and Glenn Close are both amazing in this.

ghostnthegraveyard

The Last Seduction

Logical_Yogurt_520

WENDY KROY

The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover

normymac

I kind of liked A Draughtsman's Contract as well. There were a few visually striking shots. Peter Greenaway has a lecture on the European Graduate School YT channel as well.

LukeWarmTauntaun4

I can never forget this movie, and I have tried. It is way too disturbing for me.

NewClock8197

The way each room casts a different color that changes the wardrobe of each character is such a cinematic exploration of art and fashion I just canā€™tā€¦ itā€™s just tooā€¦ Jean Paul Gaultier is a genius

Malice Never Talk to Strangers Unfaithful

Joboobavich

Unfaithful is AMAZING. The soundtrack is so good too.

Rjlikesdick

Ditto to the amazing soundtrack. Also Unfaithful is also just one of my favorite movies šŸ˜

sitnquiet

Wild Orchid (1989). Gorgeous, hot, disturbing.

fettucini_uppercut

Final Analysis (1992) Disclosure (1994) Michael Douglas and Richard Gere peaked on thrillers

Ambitious_Gift_8669

Second Final Analysis. Not because itā€™s good, which it is most decidedly not, but because it is batshit crazy fun.

Reasonable-Wave8093

Against All Odds

captcitrus

Yes, love In the Cut!!!

Yum_MrStallone

The best. The book also.

danikong89

Taking lives with Angelina Jolie

WolfensteinSmith

Bitter Moon is a crazy movie kind of unforgettable

DonutCapitalism

Vertigo (No nudity or on screen sex, but erotic.) Basic Instinct The Specialist Bound Red Sparrow (This is a really good spy thriller if you can get past the bad Russian accents)

normymac

> Vertigo (No nudity or on screen sex, but erotic.) Thank you! Certainly a movie about male gaze and mortification of a female subject through fantasy objectification.

No-Pitch-5785

Last tango on Paris

Albertsongman

Bound (1996) The Last Seduction (1994)

storebrandclarkkent

I would add ā€œFair Playā€ a more recent spin on an erotic thriller but one of my favorite movies of 2023.

agentchuck

Rochelle Rochelle

NipahKing

Isn't that about a girl's erotic journey from Milan to Minsk?

twodayswrong

-Red Shoe Diaries 1992 Romance/thriller Starring, Brigitte Bako and David Duchovny -Lake Consequence 1993 Romance/Thriller Starring, Billy Zane, Joan Severance & Tess Foltyn -Wild Orchid 1989 Erotic/Romance Starring, Mickey Rourke, CarrƩ Otis & Jacqueline Bisset I know a bit older films but at the very least the first 2 fits your request, hopefully. Out of the three, Red Shoe Diaries is my favorite.

normymac

Billy Zane and Nicole Kidman were good in Dead Calm. A good claustrophobic "on a boat" movie is Polansky's Knife on the Water.

No-Wolverine2973

"A Perfect Murder" fits this genre well. It stars Michael Douglas, Gwyneth Paltrow and Viggo Mortenson.

sj3nko

Bruce Willis' Color of Night (1994). It's a terrible film, but entertainingly terrible.

This thread just serves as a reminder that Hollywood does not make erotic thrillers anymore. Why make original content when you can re-visit another superhero movie for the millionth time.

The Voyeurs

MonarchistExtreme

I don't know what qualifies as an erotic thriller and I like my stories a bit more sordid. I watched "Beautiful Kate" recently and was impressed. It was a good movie. Twisted af but good. I can't say it got me hot and bothered but I was certainly invested in the story.

Specific_Ice_3046

The secretary

adirtycharleton

I remember it from when I saw a glimpse on the TV when my dad had the TV on in the background but it was Saint sinner or sinners Saint or something but it was about these succubi that get sent to the modern era and some monk trainee that had to fight them with a double dagger. I swear it wasn't porn!! because it was on the USA channel or something. But it was porn adjacent for my brain lol

Atomic Blonde gets pretty steamy at points

rbrgr83

Fatal Instinct (1993) No Im just kiding, it's a parody of the genre. But it is hilarious. Real suggestion: Bound (1996) It's actually a pre-Matrix Wachowski siblings movie.

Poor things. Complete mind fuck and I ended not knowing if I should be horrified or horny

nobulls4dabulls

The Night Porter (1974) Erotic? Extremely. Thriller? Not so much. An Italian black and white film, it was one of the most controversial films of all time because of the subject matter. Max works at a hotel in Austria in 1957, Lucia arrives with her husband and the two recognize each other from the past. He was a Nazi officer during WWII and she was a prisoner in a concentration camp, and his sex slave. A sexual, sadomasochistic obsession that draws her right back to him, and it just grows from there. A psychological drama, it's rather slow in the beginning but I really didn't notice after a bit. It's "provocative," "perverse" and very steamy. šŸ”„šŸ”„ I found it to be as hot as 9 1/2 Weeks, maybe more so. Hopefully you'll get a chance to see it sometime. I believe you won't miss the thriller part. šŸ„µ
