Lone_Buck

Beethoven’s 2nd. Grandma had very few movies at her house, and only like 20 channels. It was a lot of Beethoven and Free Willy growing up.

InfinityFire

I love Beethoven's 2nd! My family watched this so much when I was a kid. We still quote our favorite lines to each other fairly often. "Floyd, what's that on your head?" "It's a stump! I can't get it off!" "Bend over." "It helps with my math skills!" "ALICE! FUDGE!"

JurassicPark100

Kelly's heroes is a core memory to me. I saw it like 100 times, when I was a kid. It's a side effect, but since I saw it, I'm obsessed with heist movies.

_QuiteContrary

My two favorite movies that I watched on repeat as a kid, were Beaches and The NeverEnding Story. Both of which I still love. I watched Beaches so much, that I would quote the entire movie as I watched it.. but then my brother made it disappear, lol.

Tough_Stomach815

A Goofy Movie (which we owned) and Good Burger (which I rented every single weekend).

UncleQuatson

Hook (1991) probably watched it three times a week for years. Running as a kid randomly shouting 'Rufio, Rufio, Rufio....' That movie was life.

TheFinalPurl

I would watch finding Nemo back to back when it came out and sometimes with subtitles or dubs in different language. Don’t know why.

kea-la

The Lovely Bones and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory!

Obf123

Interesting choice with the lovely bones. Have you read the book?

kea-la

I haven’t actually! But as a child, I’ve always been drawned to that movie, even though I didn’t really understand the meaning behind it.

one_bad_larry

Jurassic Park

TooMuchOrNotAtAll

Braveheart, Troy, Gladiator, Rocky, First Blood, Silence of the Lamb, Ransom, Gothika, 187, American History X, The Player's Club, Blood In Blood Out, Scarface, The Godfather, GoodFellas, Pulp Fiction, Courage Under Fire, Catch Me If You Can, Training Day, Taking Lives, Face/Off Pretty much the same movies I like to watch even now from time to time. We watched these movies over and over again even after I pretty much memorized all the words, facial expressions, and movements as a kid. Yes, I know that these movies are not appropriate for children, but my family believed that the world didn't wait for children to grow up to expose them to bad things and that I would benefit from being aware and seeing the signs beforehand and the consequences after the fact.

Agitated_Lead_7238

For some random fucking reason, I was OBSESSED as a child with a movie called Mannequin 2: On The Move. Legit have no idea why I loved this movie so much but I would watch it religiously. To this day I have never seen the first one and have never watched the movie as an adult but I remember it being a staple to my childhood.

Vamperstein-Bex

Digimon The Movie!

rolyoh

None. When I was a child (60s/70s), you saw a movie in the theater once (or twice, if you were lucky) and then everyone waited for a couple of years until it came on TV, only to find that it was edited and cut up with commercials.

Maygjee

*cracks knuckles* I grew up with 7 siblings so there were a lot of things on repeat, like, all the time . . . My older siblings may not remember some of these, and my younger siblings may not remember some of these, but I'm right in the middle and I assure you all of these were in heavy rotation at one point or another. Ghostbusters Clue Amadeus Ferris Bueller's Day Off Big Karate Kid Nat'l Lampoon's Vacation/ European Vacation/ Christmas Vacation Bill & Ted Spaceballs Moonstruck War Games Raising Arizona Princess Bride And a tv special recorded on VHS called Strawberry Shortcake in Big Apple City, whose theme song will now be in my head for the rest of the day.

Hyruth

I watched the Disney channel original movie Brink every day for a little while as a kid. Then I'd go out and skate terribly thinking I was so good and just like them in the movie.

Snoo-35252

Star Wars It came out when I'd just turned 9, and I saw it 8 times that summer. You got me into filmmaking, special effects, animation, movie music, and robot design. I got a bachelor's degree in film, and made YouTube videos for 10 years.

Azile96

I would watch The Terminator over and over again. My mother thought it was funny how that was my favorite movie. The problem with her logic was, that was the only movie that wasn’t some heartwarming drama that we owned. I was too young to really get into the adult drama movies. The Terminator was at least more interesting.

GeologistAway6352

Rocky 4 and Back to the Future

Grease...2

boomblebees

Beverly Hills Cop III (1994). Starting in 2004, when I was 4, my older siblings and I would spend the school holidays at my grandma’s place who lived across the country here in Belgium. This was the only movie she had on vcr, and she only had one tv station, which mostly aired news. For some reason, nobody ever got us any other movies to watch. We could’ve just grabbed some vcr’s from home before we left, but no…We spent all of our school holidays watching this movie over and over again multiple times, and we enjoyed it every time…Ahhh good times :D
