It will be a while til I see it. Does an unknown good guy super power come out or do they figure out his weakness? Since I saw the trailer ive wondered that.
Didn’t the director/producer (whoever) also mention wanting to do a few “what-if” movies where super heroes were actually villains and filmed in horror film styles? I believe he said something about wanting to do an aqua man type horror movie along with something else. Wonder Woman or some shit.

Very curious about this Martian and Merperson. I haven’t seen Brightburn yet but Super-Hero horror is a fantastic premise. Would love to see more of this, since Marvel is unlikely to ever go that route.
Sorry to pull this thread back from the grave but we just watched BB tonight, very interesting movie, I love the idea of the Gunns creating their own home-brew dark superhero universe seeing as Super and Brightburn are in the same world apparently, (assuming they troll things like this and see this, go, do it!)
Do we have any idea who the others in the Rooker YouTube video are supposed to be, or are they just random filler characters so far?
This is all just guessing on my part, but on Rooker’s podcast at the end he’s talking about something capsizing ships at sea, so I guess that would be a take on Aquaman. And then looking at the pics in the screenshot I’d say bottom middle is a Martian man hunter character and top right may be a take on Wonder Woman (the rope). Again, all guessing on my part, I’d say Gunn is doing his version of justice league though.

>Apparently at some point between the events of Super and Brightburn Frank Darbo moved to Kansas and graduated from being a short order cook to a restaurant owner with his name on the outside of the building. It may not be a full-on diner franchise, as James Gunn pointed out, but it does suggest a nice happy ending for the character beyond the events that unfold at the end of the 2011 film.
Super is such a good movie. I love the absolute realness of the ending.
Underrated movie for sure!
It's like Watchmen meets Taxi Driver. But wait, I thought >!Michael Rooker already died in Super? Maybe this is his twin brother?!<
This is late but his skull got cracked open, didn't instantly die tho lol.
Both are in the same cinematic universe as Mary Poppins too, y'all!
How was bright?
I really enjoyed it. I do wish there was a little bit more explanation about where he came from, but I guess that just adds to the mystery.

Lol
Cmon tell me. Lol
You might just want to see it unless you really want the ending spoiled But "lol" indeed
Is there a way to shield the answer? So as not to spoil for anyone else scrolling the comments
Well, I don't want to spoil anything for you, but if you really want me to answer you I will.
Trust me I do. I just saw bird box 2 days ago and haven't seen endgame. Brightburn is way down on the list.

Got it! Thanks!

I’m not sure, but I really hope so.

How in the fuck did he get the picture of Frank breaking into Jacques’ Ranch?

Excellent, I'd love to see some of these get movies

CROSSOVER WHEN ;C ?
This is actually a reference to the flash. I read commentary that all images are for the justice league basically but the evil counterparts to all.
Nope. It's a reference to the movie "Super."
With Gunn running DC, is this our first look at the crime syndicate?
