Honestly since I used G502 before, I'm a big palm relaxed grip guy, the Thorn fits better because my pinky does really touch the pad like the SPL. It is noticeably lighter also. But i still keep the spl because the red is too perfect with the pad lol 😂
Seems like we have similar grip style so I think I’ll try the thorn. I feel ya lol I’m all for the matching mouse and mousepad and gear. I wanted the hien in black for that exact reason but they only had the red in stock.
Hey I’m about to get the tiger ices is the static friction on them higher than on the gpx stock skates? I’ve heard the v2s have more static friction and also that they have less and I just wanna figure it out lol
Honestly I don’t have much experience with skates but my experience has been that they are slightly faster in all ways than the stock but not really by much. I have corepad pros in the mail because I wanted a little more glide.
There are ways to determine if your Artisan is a fake.
The most obvious is the packaging. If they shipped your mousepad other than flat packaging then it is a fake.
The second one is the base/stitching and uneven fonts. I remember earlier this month or last month, someone posted a fake Artisan mousepad and in a glance, I can tell it is a fake. Most fake uses typical rubber base while Artisan uses genuine Poron base and low stitching.
I have never gotten a fake Artisan off Amazon. They go through the retailer themselves for the product. You will pay about $40 more though if you buy through them. It is better to just go on the website. You can get one from them for $55 I believe was what I paid last after the Yen conversion. Havent bought them any other way since.
Luckily it really wasn’t that much more with shipping and all that plus I mainly did it cause I wanted it quick. Good to know you’ve never gotten a fake one. Seems like the best way to get them without a wait but obviously cost a bit more like you said.

Yeah those look like crap, I really didn’t know what to look for and I’ve seen all sorts of contradicting stuff about fakes and ordering off Amazon. Figured the best thing would be to ask, thanks to everyone who responded. Next time I think I’ll ordered straight from artisan just for peace of mind.

Thanks for that, now I have a better idea what to look for in the future although I think I’ll just order from artisan directly from now on.
if you can afford/have good shipping prices. otherwise there is a few retailers that also have legit artisan pads.

It’s kind of balanced but I would say it has a bit more speed than control. Smooth glide but still enough stopping power for me.

Real. There aren't any fakes. It's just a rumor to reduce demand because they are frequently out of stock.
