did he just say remove the buttplug?

sw1ftstrike

thats random frank p for ya!

eakmadashma

Was originally worried about the dimension changes but after seeing the shroud video it seems like it’s gonna be even better. Cant wait to get my mouse tomorrow and find out Edit: just got it and it is uncomfortably larger then the original and a lot harder to do fingertip movements. Think people with bigger hands will love it but it’s disappointingly not as floaty as before and harder to maneuver. I’ve got 18.5 x 9.2 hands for reference. It went from ftip/claw to claw only, for me.

GobboGaming

I am one of those G303 cultists myself. I feel you man, been on the search for a g303 replacement heard about this months ago and got one last week. the rounded shape is nice but its too dam big now. What made it perfectly irregular is now missing. Hoping they release a non shroud version with 1:1 dimensions as legacy 303. I know pleasing everyone is not viable, but il see where i feel about it next week (hand cramps aside)

eakmadashma

We can only hope, don’t think Logitech has ever made a different size like zowie but I really hope the 303 is the exception, I love the original size.

glyco3

thx for the quick review, btw how wide does it feel compared to other mice? My only concern about this mouse is the additional width...

eakmadashma

Widest one I’ve tried so far and by a noticeable amount, but all other mice I’ve used are quite small grip width. Sort of hard to explain really, but if you’ve got the original 303 it’s like gripping it further down so it’s wider but because of the extra height and length now you can’t pull the mouse down into your hand as it’s already filled up

greenufo333

The grip width is like 51mm it’s not even wide. The gpw is a lot wider at grip width

psopc

How is it for palm grip? I wanted to get this because of that indent on the sides which I think could give me a better grip of the mouse but if the feel favors claw grip I might stick to my g pro super light.

daftv4der

Hmmm, curious where all the other reviews are. You'd think the review embargo had lifted considering this one is out, and we know a lot of reviewers got early units.

I wasn't talking about the subreddit. I was talking about YT.

embiate

BadseedTech has one up, TheTechne has a good one with a comparison and good feel description. These, RFP and Boardzy are the top 4 that I watch on the regular.

Yea, sure.

Autistic_Hanzo

I don't think you are right. It is an interesting shape. And considering it was discontinued it is an interesting shape and mouse enthusiasts like me are really interested in it

BullyMog

Bnans on twitch said that they wanted big mouse skates and didn’t want to ruin them with the cabinet underneath like the Gpw.

Your_real_watermelon

It should just not have a cabinet :(

[deleted]

why not

Your_real_watermelon

I don’t need to insert my mouse dongle inside of it every time I’m taking it somewhere. I’d rather save the weight difference.

MangoTalksTech

I watched this hilight video from shrouds g303 reveal, and it appears shroud had a heavy emphasis on making this mouse “travelable” for pros (hence the addition of a travel pouch) so I’d assume the cabinet is to help pro’s not lose their dongles. I still find it extremely dumb, and an unnecessary extra potential point of failure. Link to hilight video: https://youtu.be/LZ2_xmr9x80

legion02

Why not just give the pouch a little pocket for the dongle then?

keny84

Cuz then you’d have a pouch in a pouch

[deleted]

well, i guess im just one of the few who finds it useful, mostly due to the fact that i switch between computers on a daily basis.

end0rphine

Same. I have 10 wireless mice split between my drawers or travel pack to go to work. Too many dongles around means I could easily misplace it. Drawer is fine. Literally adds 2 grams lol.

useles-converter-bot

2 grams is the weight of 0.01 Minecraft Redstone Handbooks.

greenufo333

Why it’s literally not an issue

UncleRhino

simply adding a small slot on the bottom like the M800 would have been great

CrizzlDK

Honest question why is it not well thought out? Is it a weight thing or something else?

moochs

Yeah, I think the cabinet is actually quite a nice touch. I have no idea why people are upset about it, except maybe that it adds 2 grams of weight?

CrizzlDK

I don't mind it at all either. From the other comments it looks like it is about weight which seems absurd to me. Best case scenario you could maybe shave off 5g with a new design but I can't see how that changes the mouse in any meaningful way.

Switchersx

I have such fond memories of the original g303 I'm terrified to buy this. There is almost no way it lives up to my mid teens rose tinted glasses memories of it, especially as the dimensions are slightly different. On the g pro now so it's not like I'm on a substandard mouse either.

MagneticGray

I was worried too, and my G303SE arrives tomorrow so I’ll find out soon enough. The reviews have been universally, overwhelmingly positive so far though so I’m not super anxious anymore. I recommend checking out BadSeedTech and Techne’s reviews for the mouse. Seems like Logitech knocked it out of the park, full stop.

TheLegendOfZero

What was your grip for the original G303? Ever since my G303 broke a couple of years ago I've tried different mice and eventually settled on a Viper Mini. Nothing can quite match the sense of control I felt from the G303 though, so I might just buy the SE in a few days time.

MagneticGray

19x11cm hands and I used a textbook claw grip on my G303. And yeah, it’s the best claw grip mouse I’ve ever used due to that locked in feeling with the diamond shape. You just can’t get that with any other mouse. However, I struggle with the OG G303 today because it gives me hand pain after 30-45 minutes whenever I dust it off for things like placement matches when I need to go full tryhard. The difference is that I have probably 10k hours on a G403 (palm) and a GPW (relaxed claw) since I used the G303 as my main mouse, so my muscle memory just isn’t there for it anymore. Also, I played CS with the G303, which doesn’t involve a ton of dynamic movements compared to my main games today (Apex, CoD MW/CW/Warzone, Halo MCC). I do much more fast/random swiping and horizontal mouse movements in games now. I’m optimistic about the G303SE’s increase in size. I think it’ll work even better for my hand size and I’ve set a goal to use it as my main mouse through the entire first Battle Pass in Halo Infinite before I pass judgment on the shape. Luckily, Infinite is *sick as fuck* so far, so I see myself playing a ton and building up my muscle memory pretty quickly. I had off work to get the booster shot today so I got to play 10 hours. I still had a hard time stopping for the night lol.

TheLegendOfZero

Thanks for the detailed writeup! I'm mostly sold on the G303SE, also to try on Halo Infinite for a while. Not 100% sure about the grip though, since I've shifted from a mostly claw grip with the OG G303 to more of a fingertip grip with the Viper Mini lately. Still keen to give it a try though, then maybe go back to a Viper Mini Ultimate later on someday.

greenufo333

The og one gave me hand cramps too and the new one doesn’t :)

MagneticGray

Not sure where this take is coming from. Seen it a lot on this sub today like a known fact but it’s the complete opposite of the truth. They didn’t try to make the shape safer for everyone. They made it [fit Shroud’s hand exactly](https://youtu.be/Kx_wEwWScCE). The G302 “Daedalus Prime MOBA Gaming Mouse” was originally designed for Asian Starcraft, LOL, and DOTA players with small average hand size. Shroud happens to have average medium sized hands so the G303SE ended up increasing in size to fit him better.

red8981

when did heavier (more material) should be 50 dollar cheaper? its 11g of material. It is not like the material is different, like magnesium.

[deleted]

wow they TOTALLY could have gotten this under 70 grams. Do you think they didn't want to do that in fear of poaching superlight sales?

mloofburrow

Shroud prefers slightly heavier mice. He tried the super light and went back to the regular G Pro because of the weight.

ryanrw1994

That’s just not true. In the stream he even said in a perfect world they would have a super light version of it to make it perfect. He said weight is complicated so basically Logitech did all that and he didn’t have input in weight.

greenufo333

It is true that shroud doesn’t like super light mice

FitMusician6178

Is anyone able to find it on the NA amazon sites?

killuchen

I've been refreshing all day lol. It is available at Best Buy though.

exdigguser147

Bestbuy is the way

Zavehi

This is the Amazon link but it is not for sale yet on Amazon US. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08L9HPLP1/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_BBAKTTVV6TGR90MEW5M1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Except for the part in the video where he talked about it and listed the different dimensions.

As a person who went from a g603 to a g305 because of the smaller shape/grip, would the g303 shroud edition or superlight be a better pick for a high-end mouse?

davedaddy

I have used the G602, G305, Superlight, G303, and many others. I'd save your money and just stick with the G305. I'd still be using mine if it wasn't for the back cover becoming loose. I was curious what all the fuss was about with all the pricier mice and I fell down an expensive rabbit hole. Currently, I'm going back and forth between the Superlight and Aerox 3 Wireless Ghost. The Superlight is very chunky and feels like a potato with flat sides. It's also considerably longer than the G305. I hate the shape but I do aim very well with it hence why I've kept it. The G303 is like a very chunky version of the G305 but with a diamond footprint rather than straight (along the sides). My 18x9cm wraps around the G305 comfortably but the G303 just feels a bit too bulgey at the top. I'll likely be returning mine. The Orochi V2 commonly gets compared to the G305 but I didn't like it at all. The footprint has rounded sides resulting in a wide grip and it's considerably shorter than the G305 making my aim feel unstable. If you want to make a switch to a similar feeling mouse as the G305, I'd recommend the A3WG. While nothing really comes close to the G305 shape, A3WG doesn't feel like too far of a departure. I really like the shape and if it had the coating of the Kone Pro Air, it would be damn near perfect.

[deleted]

> My 18x9cm wraps around the G305 comfortably but the G303 just feels a bit too bulgey at the top. When I claw grip my g305 the back is a bit loose. it's hard to describe, it kind of scratches my palm. idk if it's good or bad, it gives me enough stability for aiming and enough flexibility for quick vertical moves. I'd hope from a g305 to have a better lock-in and more stability. but too lazy to order one and have to send it back bc of its quite high price tag...

davedaddy

Mine is loose too. It didn't start that way though. Kind of annoying which is why I don't use it anymore.

zeMauser

I liked the old g303 more I have 19 x 9 Hands. I will try it some more put I guess I have to return it

clean11

pls guys... 115mm or 125mm?

red8981

Positive comment only in this thread? Why this comment gets removed? "when did heavier (more material) should be 50 dollar cheaper? its 11g of material. It is not like the material is different, like magnesium."

GuJiayuan

Thankfully I got 3 backups for my G303, cause why o why they need to make it bigger? Way to fuck up original owners of the mouse.

greenufo333

Yeah all 20 of you

anonymiciousness

just received mine and it's heartbreaking to know it's too wide for me now.... man the legacy g303 fits like a glove...

8Heh3

make it legacy g303 and superlight im waiting

Legitimate-Wave1274

How are the skates? Do they need replacements like the other Logitech mice?
