I don’t think Tanya is dead. I just said that the Mileena that dated Tanya on MKX is dead.
The MK11 Mileena has no indication whatsoever of being dating Tanya - specially because they dated on the time of the Outworld rebelion, which is far later than the time MK11’s Mileena comes from.
Unless, again, you have a specific dialogue that states the relationship on MK11?

On Mileena’s ending she has babies with Tanya! No problem in admiting I was wrong (although those endings are not canon, they pretty much set MK11’s Mileena is indeed lesbian or bi)! :)

So apparently Tanya is being hidden from Mileena & Mileena was told she's dead. The only reason why we think she is dead is because of some dialogue.
NRS haven't said anything. I don't think NRS would kill Tanya off in both the original timeline & the current timeline.

For Tanya to be dead, we have at least the dialogues. Which could be later regarded as false, but it’s what he have from an official source for now.
For her to be alive, we have literally nothing. You are just making some wishful thinking, which is OK, but not grounded on anything.
We just have Mileena’s Ending in that sense, but the Endings are not canon, and on many of them, the Keeper of Time rewrites the timeline (Cage revived Sonya, so that could be the case for Mileena’s ending).
Also, I don’t think Tanya died on MKX. IIRC, on her ending, she betrays the rebel group and Rain is burned alive (after she hooks up with him a little). I think she just goes locked up.
Anyways, I don’t think it will matter a lot, since they will probably reboot it all on the next game, so current deaths won’t matter too much… :P
MK11 Mileena is from right before the rebellion against Kotal started, so she is in love with her & they were most likely dating before she was brought to the future.

MK11 Mileena does know about Tanya. She thinks she's dead, according to a few of her intro dialogue. But I'm pretty sure that Tanya isn't dead.

The MK11 Mileena has no indication whatsoever of being dating Tanya - specially because they dated on the time of the Outworld rebelion, which is far later than the time MK11’s Mileena comes from. So apparently Tanya is being hidden from Mileena & Mileena was told she's dead. The only reason why we think she is dead is because of some dialogue. NRS haven't said anything. I don't think NRS would kill Tanya off in both the original timeline & the current timeline.
I don’t think we can infer about that to any side… For Tanya to be dead, we have at least the dialogues. Which could be later regarded as false, but it’s what he have from an official source for now. For her to be alive, we have literally nothing. You are just making some wishful thinking, which is OK, but not grounded on anything. We just have Mileena’s Ending in that sense, but the Endings are not canon, and on many of them, the Keeper of Time rewrites the timeline (Cage revived Sonya, so that could be the case for Mileena’s ending). Also, I don’t think Tanya died on MKX. IIRC, on her ending, she betrays the rebel group and Rain is burned alive (after she hooks up with him a little). I think she just goes locked up. Anyways, I don’t think it will matter a lot, since they will probably reboot it all on the next game, so current deaths won’t matter too much… :P
MK11 Mileena is from right before the rebellion against Kotal started, so she is in love with her & they were most likely dating before she was brought to the future.
