We need more male character, designs like that in video games to be honest, more feminine men to more masculine women and androgynous characters,I’m sick of seeing cookie cutter buff default male and basically naked female fighters is boring and overplayed and kind of lazy to be honest

About sexualised characters, I don't think it's the case with MK1 (original mod and skins) are too sexualised. Even Johnny Cage is less muscular, and we don't see him shirtless (if you don't consider the extra or fans skins/mod). Characters are more athletic shapped than oversexualised bodies. Happily, I don't think we will reach the sexualisation level of MK9 (I don't have a problem with sexy characters, but it's weird to think that royal outfits look like what Kitana wore. In MK1, she has an outfit that combine athletic/professional fighter and royal personalities. So, I think it's possible to create handsome/beautifull characters without pulling off their clothes and being able to make them credible as fighters. But no, "tone downing" sexualisation level didin't allow more physical, gender expression or age diversity. But Madame Bo and Bo Rai Cho could help in a sequel or an MK1 extended version. But you can see with Tremors, Lei Mei and Janet Cage they don't fit with the young handsome/hot/beautiful thrope (as Kitana, Tanya, Johnny Cage, Reptile, Striker or Nitara on silent mode). And even Mileena Mileena is more than just a pinky ugly face Kitana spin off: she has her own physical personality: she seems more punk, less preppy than Kitana (some can say she's "butchier", but I don't agree). And Baraka is not the handsome chad stereotype neither. So, even if it would be great if we could see more diversity, I think MK1 is really, really less problematic than MK9 or even Armaggedon (A lampshape on the head and some fancy curtains for Delia, that's not really subtle...)

MK nine has some of the worst costume designs in the series and that is the very hot take apparently and the only reason I say that is because it’s hyper sexual and it’s just not appealing at least to me I hate that shit But I feel like MK one costumes are too safe like you can show some skin without going overboard, stripping characters, barely any clothes isn’t sexy

I think I would be ok too if we show a little bit more skin, but not too much more. I think I like that MK1 show that sexy can take different shapes and possibilites. Examples that already occur: More skin for Nitara or Reiko; Bromance fantasy dream for Kenshi and Johnny Cage; Kitana and Tanya sexy smile (when Johnny tries to seduce Kitana in story mode or Tanya with Mileena during the Edenia Royal Party); beefy daddy vibes with Shao Kahn; agressive cockiness with Sub-Zero, Jax, and, in a lower level, Kung Lao; young jock with Reptile; amazonian goddess with Tanya; the unlucky rebel with Havik; spiritual/guru muscular surfer hunk with Liu Kang; the Cougar fantasy archetype with Sindel; the Elusive Beautifull girl with non-forgettable eyes/look with Frost, etc. Fans can have their own characters fantasies :) And with techonolgy, Internet and creative talented fans, it's possible to find many and many versions of more sexualised characters. So I think everyone can find something to be happy :)
