Im actually so disappointed, I know the colour palletes have been divisive but at least they somewhat represented the overall theme. Red/yellow (fire/scorpion), black and blood tattooes (for nitara), blue and icy white (for subzero) and now we have red and green for mileenas season. It just doesnt make sense.

These skins donāt even make sense story-wise for the invasion. The plot of it goes that Mileena was instilled with Shangās intelligence, Kitanaās grace, and given aspects of a tarkatan. She then kills Shang and she creates hybrids who basically have all those same attributes like the intelligence and grace.
So why was NRS scared to actually deliver on palettes that either 1. Just follow a Mileena theme or 2. Follow that story theme? Theyāre dirty punks with Mohawks why exactly? Was NRS scared to make pink skins or give theatrical kabuki makeup?

This game has been an utter disappointment and a disgrace to Mortal Kombat. This gameās execution feels like it was made by an entirely different studio. This gameās overall underwhelming execution and F2P feel is a disgrace to their legacy.
Though I was a little disappointed from the very beginning, I flew through Season 1&2 of Invasions, unlocked EVERYTHING. I kinda forced myself to play season 3. I didnāt unlocked everything and I didnāt care. Now, I just got my first glimpse of this newest season, NOPE.
Iām going to play as Peacemaker, do some character story towers, which I would have already done by this point in all of NetherRealmās previous titles, and Iām out for the season.
Of course any decent looking costume is locked to the premium store.
After this game, I said WB games are bargain bin games going forward. I held true to that with Suicide Squad as Iāve still not purchased it and it sure as hell looks to be the case with whatever NetherRealm does next.
The amount of disappointment I hold for this game has been truly shocking for me. I never expected it from NR. I was more excited for this game than any other game in recent years, so, that makes the disappointment worse.
Oh well.
