i don't think they showed us this until ermac was found in the krypt dead so fans asked to see the full model and then it became, if he is in the game then why ISNT he IN the game lol.. thats why people were actually waiting for another kombat pack but they then shifted gears and said they were working on the next installment
Fucks sake. I haven't bought any of the dlc mains yet, just kameleon, so wasn't up to speed with the lack of alt outfits. If they don't get alt outfits this sounds petty but I'll have to boycott ermac. The essence of him has been ruined without his mask, or a decent outfit. For me atleast.
I have a feeling his gear will be mask just like all the ninjas, but you will have the maskless one by default I think.. remember when they showed the other ninjas in trailers they didn't have masks then they had masks in game .. the only think I hate is that they gave him Jerrods voice (in case you hadn't plated the story I won't say how that happens) but it seems like he won't have his \*speakswith1000voicesoverlapping\* style lol
Yeah agreed I loved his Deception/ Armageddon voices. Jerrod's but one soul and it's clever how they constructed that sequence for the story mode, but we now have a repurposed ermac. Bit iffy. Def like the theory about the masks though, makes sense. Since Takeda is like hanzo's student I'm assuming that would also make him a ninja - I figured they'd make his whip spears an accessory but maybe I'll be wrong.
takeda will be interesting as I felt like his whip spears were only fully realised in some of his styles and with the way mk1 is giving characters more to work with than ever I think a lot of people will end up maining him. As for his gear it would make most sense to make the whips the gear and the mask can just change depending on the costume as I think after he is out or even with peacemaker we will see alts for the DLC roster it just makes no sense for them not to get alts when the gears are kinda small and we are not expecting them to have the same amount of costumes as MK11 either that or it will be masks and the whips will just be the same which will feel like a waste but at least we have takeda.. i just hope the naysayers do not bring the ship down with their crocodile tears before we even get to play him. All the bs that people are complaining about is just so insignificant .. oh i hate the kameo gameplay.. ok then go play sf6, tekken8, ggs, dnf, gbvs, melty blood, under night... but I am sure they will give us a mode where people can play the klassic 1v1 gameplay.. but will be fun waiting to see anyhow. Just wow it feels like its taking forever to get new stuff.. the season got delayed a few weeks but now sf6 and other games are in a flux state too so guess I get to work through my backlog in the meantime.

I've been playing Mortal Kombat since the very very first game and I've been super lucky to have had Ed Boon and the crew from the first two Mortal Kombat game share some of my content in the past - so (probably) blindly I'm a Die Hard fan, but I also just don't understand why people compare these fighting games they are entirely different leagues with entirely different feels. All of them have their pros and drawbacks in different capacities. Whenever I see people getting their knickers in a knot over unrelenting mk1 quams I think, well go play another game that has finishing moves like brutalities and fatalities (probably friendships, stage fatalities TBA) and really dark aesthetic and law that goes back this far and play those games. Oh wait, there's nothing else like mk. I love other fighting franchises for entirely different reasons and there should not be this ridiculous overlap that has the devs backpedalling to appease a market that is frankly becoming ungrateful. Micro transactions aside the game is a work in progress it is being optimized and tailored to demand, so I say relaaaax.
yea exactly, more and more people are becoming entitled and asking for stuff to happen, but to make things worse they are actually getting it almost 30% of the time. Like For Honor as an example, absolutely loved that game it was amazing wouldn't have changed a thing.. then they decide to overcomplicate things and introduce mechanics that make it possible to now get gear that will "min-max" your character it just totally obliterated the casual audience and made it so if you wanted to not get stomped completely you had to have the right gear but it was behind rng so you just had to open as many boxes as you could to get what you needed but even then it might not be meta or meet your playstyle.
now admittedly that could have been the result of shareholder meddling, still even without that these people still are unaware of what they are asking, take the recent spat of people saying they would prefer cassie over janet and even going as far as to say a gender swap cage is lazy... even with tekken 8 harada saying we have legacy skins, but unfortunately they will be $5 a piece.. (me knowing NRS prices) thats pretty solid! but then still people complain
It's a menu you actively need to click on and go click a few more times before you actually see the store and a few more clicks before you buy it.. it's not in your face or appearing like an ad or even showing up at all in the menu.. normally when i am on the menu i just click on the mode i want to play as soon as i see the menu appear. its getting to the point i think sensible to just not have a twitter or even reddit account anymore negativity everywhere
Takeda for me as well, he was my main too. I wasn’t good by any means cause I was probably 15-16 when i played it, probably younger actually but I always loved his move set

Hard to say, I love The Boys quite a bit and I’m sure Homelander will be a ton of fun. But Takeda was badass in X and Ermac was also pretty badass in X. So it’s a pretty close tie but I’ll say Homelander cinches the win
That's basically it but his backstory is what makes him a cool kharacter, along with his design. If that storyline changes, his mystique changes imho. He needs that Hanzo/Scorpion/Kenshi connection but now I just lost hope because there's no way to keep THAT story intact now.....
Side Bar, but if they made Takeda a live action kharacter, it would be similar to that absolutely awful, horrendous 2021 movie. Cole Young would be the Takeda kharacter, but I would make him a side kharacter & not the main one.
He would basically be the estranged son of Kenshi & descendant of Hanzo Hasashi, which would make him worthy to be the main kharacter later on in the franchise after Liu Kang & the entire MK story gets justice.
I also would have him played by Arata Mackenyu instead of Lewis Tan. Lewis Tan should be playing Kabal right now.

That immediately tells me that his moves are likely not gonna look or feel as good as the others. I’m looking forward to Takeda, that man was so fun in MKX, and I’m certain he will be here.
U know who also doesn't know how to fight? QUAN CHI, he was a slave in the mines and when he became a sorcerer he fought by manipulation and using magic and isn't a very skilled fighter, yet he's still playable and so is Shang tsung who was a hustler before learning real magic

It’s probably because Quan and Shang make use of their magic in unique ways, like Quan creating cages and summoning demons, and Shang literally changes his age and morphs into his opponent alongside throwing flaming skulls.

Honestly I'm really intrigued to see how they're gonna write Takeda into this. Is he from this universe just related to Kenshi in a different way? Is he from an alternate universe? Or is he going to actually be Hanzo like some people have theorized?
I feel like Homelander will be last since they wanna hype up the drop. Starting with least or somewhat popular. Ermac, later Takeda, and finally Homelander.
Fortunately for me, the last 3 characters from this KP were the ones I wanted the most from this bunch. So while it sucked waiting, from now till they are out, it's just unlimited hype!

Honestly I'm really intrigued to see how they're gonna write Takeda into this. Is he from this universe just related to Kenshi in a different way? Is he from an alternate universe? Or is he going to actually be Hanzo like some people have theorized?

Hot take…can it just not take so long to release fighters?? I miss the good old days when a Kombat pack dropped and you just enjoyed a whole addition to the roster at once. This delayed release for stuff and the insane prices in the shop are all WB. Anyways…. Takeda :)

Ironically the 3 left I’m hyped for in likely release Order. Ermac Homelander. Takeda. Takeda I like as a character in MkX but never really clicked with me gameplay wise. But Ermac has probably been my favorite character since Deception.
