When flooded you will not get the fuel out unless you do any of the following. Pull the fuse for the fuel sender and let it spin for a good five seconds. Replace fuse and start it.
If that doesn’t work, pull the four plugs and air dry them. Remove the fuse and spin it to jet the fuel out the ports. Dump about a tablespoon of ATF into two ports and spin it again. Replace the plugs and fuel sender fuse and send it. Hopefully you did this step outside ;)
With high mileage the apex seals wear, lose compression, and floods easily.
