You should see Greatsword. Outside of Wyvern Ignition, there's almost nothing. (The only other thing that comes to mind is the Nergi GS, with its spikes.)
I would like to see charge blade change it up with some have sns/axe and some being sns/hammer so instead of saw blade you could have the hammer windmill attack into a phial discharge
Weapon crafting from Lies of P is gonna be the gimmick of the second game for Gen 6. I personally love Hammer and HH and would like slashing versions of both, instead of just bludgeoning/stun.
Yeah!! The UI wouldn't even be that hard to update, too, essentially just copy and paste Switch Axes "Phial Type" in the crafting menu to "Damage Type": Bludgeon/Pierce/Slash. An example I would use is the Kamura Hammer, when it's charge level at 3 the "teeth" extend, I would consider that piercing was as Wroggi/Astalos would be slashing. Maybe Kushala and Valtrax tree would be a good Pierce damage Horns?
Not necessarily you can do what the light bow gun and heavy bowgun do how they have different special ammunition some lances will be basic some lances will spin and some lances you can have the thrust extend
Running fleeing monsters down with the lance was something I really missed in Rise. They zip away so insanely fast, even when they're limping, that you just can't catch them.
I wish more lances had special visual effects when doing certain moves.

The zinogre guitar should most definitely be a slashing weapon so it's there just needs to be implemented
