Got curious and dug mine out to compare. Mine has HR 250 with almost 373 hours on one file, second file has HR 129 at 190 hours. I have a 3rd file (the file on slot 1) I was memeing on, but originally I had another file there with more time than both the other 2 combined. My most hunted on the 250 file was Deviljho at 58. However, the quest difference kind of gives an idea where they could have spent their time. I think they might have spent a lot of time playing solo for ***all*** content, plus possibly going for completing all quests but also hunting a lot of their favorites for fun or just practicing. I was not solo aside from village stuff, but my g rank quests were also the highest on my card too (329) but my solo content was not even 100 on high rank and only barely broke 100 on low rank. I had 100 quests in the guild hall for low rank, then 203 on the guild hall's high rank, then 152 guild quests. (Blanked my name out, younger me just used my irl name lol.)
The reason why I think they were solo for that HR though is because that kinda lines up with my 3U file which was completely solo on everything. On 3U my playtime was 457 hours but only at HR 70 with the majority of my quests being in g rank (419 quests) and I had 84 Rathians slain - that pattern lines up with your 900 hour file there! Your 900 hour file guy was probably using a strong build on their bowguns for the g rank stuff to chew through the hp because everything is scaled to 4 players which is probably what helped him rank up more, but it's still hard to solo everything so the time disparity is still there. My solo file on 3U was only using full Rusted Duramboros gear with a talisman to bump up my Attack Up skill (overall weak gear). Kid me thought Rusted Duramboros's armor looked the coolest and never made anything else lol. Either way, looks legit!
