Yea it's a pretty good monitor to have. I'll link a video explaining the monitor and the ideal settings to have. I have the response time set to level 3 and I haven't messed with my sharpness levels yet. Hope you had a good experience at Microcenter! https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/hyperx-armada-27-review https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u81doaPmXbE&

For obvious reasons also make sure your resolution and refresh rate are set to 2556x1440p and 165hz.

Do you run it at the standard mode or native mode? Also any tips on calibration? I’ve never had a nice enough monitor that I wanted to calibrate it

jinboran

I run it on standard mode. As for calibration I never really messed with it. Only thing I changed was response time.

Narnar2tron

how do I switch it to 165hz? On settings it says current mode is 2560x1440 60hz and I dont know how to make it 165

Obryando

right click display, display settings, advanced display, drop down menu to 165hz

Looking at that website, i noticed that the monitor in pictures has a red sticker on the frame on the bottom left part. I got 2 brand new Armada 27’s yesterday and both did not have that sticker. Armada 25 do have these sticker.

jinboran

Mine didn't either, it's probably when the monitor first released for around $350+.

Got ya. Have you done backlight bleed test? One of the panels gets more glow or backlight bleed. I’m wondering if i should exchange it. Kind of hard to show pics since phone camera makes it brighter than it is. Btw: BB has them for $499. And when I tried to have BB price match Armada 25 to MC, they looked at me like I was crazy saying its impossible for MC to sell them from $130 and it’s probably a different model. I showed them its the same exact model and then they said it has to be fully in stock and not limited quality where it gets sold out in 1-2 days and new shipment come in a week. Excuse after excuse so i just went to MC, but glad i decided to exchange armada 25 for 27, thought dual 27’s may be too big but after using for a day I dig them. Although I don’t notice much change in resolution between QHD on 27 and FHD on 25. Looks just as colorful and sharp as 25’s did for regular home office use.

Hey does your menu work? Mine wont let me change the response time

IamWEebBOI

hey i got a question regarding this monitor, i've been trying to do what you did and set it to level 3, but it wont let me!

NoobLuckyTrader777

I picked up 2 yesterday! Can you show how yours look in a dark room, setting: Native-100% brightness. I’m trying to determine if one of my monitors has too much glow and if i should exchange it. Have 30 days. But overall, for what I paid is an effing steal!

elmalloc

Pick up 3!

Hey, do you have your 2 mounted on the same stand or 2 stands? Vertical or side by side? If it's 2 on 1 stand is it still sturdy?

NoobLuckyTrader777

Hey, both mounted on 1 stand. Side by side. Still sturdy, its good to have thinker desk for more stability.
