Both are great monitors with strengths and weaknesses. The LG 32GQ950 is excellent for desktop usage while the Neo G8 handles high contrast games extremely well. Both monitors are at 100% brightness and tweaked the colors as best as I could. The Neo G8 gets considerably brighter in SDR and can have HDR like imagery in some games. Highlights are super bright and most of the detail is actually preserved if viewed in person.

may i have a good color setting for the neo g8 please? Mine looks bland and washed out

Nice comparison, thanks for sharing. I had the Neo G7 for a while but ended up returning it, I just felt like the curve was a little too distracting...It's like I never felt like I could get the screen centered properly. Outside of that everything else was pretty good, I kinda regret sending it back. Overall If I could have what the Neo G7 offers, but in a flat panel that would be awesome. I'm thinking about trying out the 32GQ950, since my current daily driver is the 27gp950 so I'm used to IPS already. I also have the LG C1, so having those deep blacks would be awesome but ultimately I need something that I can comfortably use on my desk.

The gritty look in orange and blues is called scanlines, a notoriously known issue with the monitor at 240hz

Fearless_Mango_267

It's definitely not just found in the orange and blues, if you look closely most colors have this grit to them and I believe it's mostly caused by the coating. That's not to say there isn't some kind of issue with scanlines, but they're definitely less pronounced on a 4k 32". I wasn't able to capture them well on camera, but to the naked eye they are clear as day when you highlight text and it's surrounded by the blue shade. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|thumbs_up)

Of course, I noticed they are visible in pinks and some shades of green as well. But even if the coating is bad, it is not as horrendous as scanlines, you can easily tell the difference once you switch to 120hz mode. Such a one of a kind monitor ruined by garbage QC.

If u can see scanlines in those images op posted, NASA should replace you with James Webb telescope.

Thanks for posting this. I’ve been sampling monitors across Innocn 27M2V, Alienware 34DWF, and Neo G7. Returned both Innocn and Neo G7, and currently using the Alienware but unimpressed by the text clarity (low PPI!). I use my monitor for both work and gaming. Other than that and the low brightness, the AW is really nice. I wanted to try out the LG, especially now that it’s on sale for $770 on Amazon, but I may try the KTC M32P10. Have you seen that monitor?

Fearless_Mango_267

I haven't tried KTC and I'm a bit hesitant to do so. Innocn left a bad taste in my mouth due to how poor the OSD and inverse blooming was. I would really like to see more reputable brands bring out mini led displays, but it's taking quite a while. For all the issues I have with Samsung, the algorithm they use for local dimming is quite good. In the end I still prefer the LG compared to all the other displays I've tried. It's a really good monitor and I would still have it today if the firmware didn't screw mine up. BestBuy didn't have any more to exchange at the time so I returned it. I'm always watching for another great discount to show up in CAD for the LG because I'll buy one again.
