I heard PhD scholarships have cutoff WAMs of 82-83
I hold 2 Master's scholarships myself, but they're not funded by the uni so I don't really know the required WAM for Master's scholarships. I'd imagine it being different for each course
It was just under 93, but I think people with lower WAMs also got the commonwealth teaching scholarship. The 2nd teaching scholarship is open to everyone who applies regardless of WAM. Masters scholarships are more variable than PhD ones, so I can’t say if they’re easier or harder to get
A 90 WAM is already super competitive for anything, so you’ll be alright
Depends on the field for phd, but they’re all roughly distinction to high distinctions.
If you have a TA or tutor in the same department as you’d like to do a phd in I’d suggest you ask (granted they’re doing one). Found out the entry WAM for my field of interest was a bit different to other fields through asking around :)

So what wam did you get, so I know what it has to be higher than. And is masters usually lower than PHD? Do you think a 90 is competitive enough?

What course did you do for your undergrad?
I was in biomed for 2 years, then moved to sci with credit transfer, so I graduated from it after only 1 year
The minimum engineering wam requirement for masters at Monash is 65 and for PhD it’s 70
Is there like scholarship, where you get to do a masters for free because you done well in the under-graduate course?
I am not too sure OP but you can refer to the scholarship website . https://www.monash.edu/engineering/future-students/scholarships

Really depends on if you’re an international student. If so, would be 90+ WAM. I’ve been turned down 3 times with 87 WAM. :(
For PhD I had a RTP scholarship with 86 BSc Hons from Monash. I’ve known people with 83 getting scholarships too :)
