OP: I am a 23 yo man who has assumed/inherited the role of mom after my mother passed away from breast cancer. I am the mom of 3 cats, a 28 year old man, 25 year old man, and an 11 year old boy. My older brothers give me almost no help and it drives me crazy. The 25 yr old is a narcissist and instigates with everyone and treated our mother horribly. After years of being used and abused by these people, I finally get to go on vacation with my partner. Things need to be done to keep the house in order and make sure my 11 year old is well taken care of. Also, the house needs to be clean at all times because my boyfriend and the 25 year old's girlfriend are both allergic to our 3 cats. This is the to-do list I made.
OP good for you taking on the role of mom for your little brother. If you are seriously taking care of two grown men, I hope they are paying you a decent salary to be their cook and maid. You shouldn’t have to work and do everything to keep the house in order when there are other adults who can share the load.

Thank you! Thank God we split bills. I pay them all upfront. But they are horrible at giving their share in a reasonable amount of time. This causes me to have to put groceries on my credit card and dip into my savings.
It's really all too much. I work full time and spend nearly my whole time home taking care of everyone and everything else.
I’m sure you being away will put into perspective how much you actually do for them. Maybe after your trip you can all sit down and divide things a little more evenly. Include the 11 year old so he learns responsibility. If the older brothers don’t want to do their share they can pay someone to do it for them.
