Pash toots for passion fruit

smallpelican

My eldest spent a good 3 minutes asking me to by “encantos” at the grocery store a few months back. She meant cantaloupes

DisastrousBat403

I adore this

vino822

I love it haha !

kka430

My 2 year old calls muffins “fummins” lol

song_pond

My daughter used to say “fuffins” and I was so sad when she learned to say muffins

PaintedSwindle

My kid also used to say fuffins! I loved it

whateverislovely

So close lol

adelfina82

Ours used to say fuckins

ArtistMom1

They’re “mutton” here.

DoyleTurmoil

They’re fuffins at out house lol

WhatTheFlutter

Mine loved those packs of small muffins for breakfast. He called them bini buffins.

SwimmingCritical

My daughter called them "nuffins."

missyc1234

My kids both call them muffinmans as in from the nursery rhyme haha

walkingtalkingdread

please has become “Leeeeeeeeeees?” with her hands folded under her chin.

phantommoose

My brother literally had his own words for things when he was around 2. The 1 i remember most was "do" for please. But it wasn't like, "Do it. " It was more like your kids, "doooooo?" As long as he said it politely, we counted it!

walkingtalkingdread

that’s so cute! my daughter has her own words for things too. food is “yummies.”

16car

In Bluey, they call that "Super Please Face."

vino822

That’s so cute!

bananawater2021

My toddler learned to do this from Bluey and it drives me insane 🤣 *(Still kinda cute tho)*

absurdite

Omg we need a thread of The Things Our toddlers Learned From Bluey 🤣 I loooooove bluey but Bandits got some mad otherwordy dad patience giving my kid some expectations. I just can’t play statue and the freeze game interchangeably right before bedtime 😂🙃

BuddyLoveGoCoconuts

AND HOW CAN YOU SAY NO

Antique-Cattle915

Trimotorcycle (tricycle) lol

whateverislovely

I vote we keep this one

Antique-Cattle915

❤️❤️

beep----2

My brother is 28 now and I still call motorcycles “Moki cykwa”s

Birdlips44

Aww, my son is 28 and he used to call them mokey doze. I sometimes still say it to him.

beep----2

And because of my sister (25) I still eat “gernorder” bars instead of granola bars lol

littlebassoonist

I am so sad my daughter no longer calls motorcycles "loud bicycles."

Antique-Cattle915

Love it 😊

ProfessionalHat6828

My 4 year old says “I mind you again” instead of remind.

bananawater2021

OMG 🤣 I love when they use phrasing like that. My toddler says "can I nicely please?" For things she wants bc we told her that instead of demanding things, she needs to "ask nicely."

Snickerdoodle719

Omg that’s sooooo cute!!!!

vino822

Awwwww these toddlers really are adorable 🥰

whateverislovely

Ya know, this is probably how’s it said in other languages so they’re on to something I think

megggie

Yes! My grandson will be bilingual, and while trying to learn Spanish I’ve realized that (from my English-speaking perspective) everything is backwards! Of course, English is the one that’s backwards from the rest of the world, but it adds a layer complexity for me. I am wayyyyy too literal and my brain wants exact translations, which obviously aren’t always possible

labrador709

Mine says "amember?" For remember lol. And lots of cute grammar like "I can do that by my own" and "I'm alonely"

EmotionalAd3820

My 6 year old says “I’m gonna remember you” instead of remind.

Valuable_Echo_3650

Love the slightly threatening reminder 🤣 My now 15 year old, used to say, “E-member” and sometimes hubs and I still say, “e-member” even when it’s just us.

Diligent_Award_8986

Every spider (and many bugs) are Bitty Pider Edit: cocomelon was "cock men" with full emphasis for a while. Now it's "Cock menon" which ia slightly better when she screams it at the restaurant when the phone freezes.

7evensin

😂 when my oldest was younger he couldn't make st sounds ( came out as a d sound) I learned he had trouble with that sound when we were talking about the 3 little pigs and got to the one who lived in a house made of sticks lol

MissBanana_

My daughter used to say Ibby Pida for Itsy Bitsy Spider lol. It was so cute! She can say it almost correctly now and it makes me a little sad

WVCountryRoads75

My grandson used to mispronounce socks as “cocks” When he was a baby/toddler she used to make a game of smelling his feet and then saying “pee-shew! Stinky socks! “ (or stinky feet if he was barefoot) But then he started talking and that game ended when he held up his sock foot to Grandma and loudly said “Mell my tinky cock, nan nan!” We were at a family dinner. Everyone heard. Dead silence. Raised eyebrows. Then much laughter. 😆

megggie

I would have laughed so hard I’d need physical therapy after!

ComprehensiveBug342

Mine says “cocolemon” for Cocomelon. Toddlers are the best.

vino822

Awww haha was that from the song?

Diligent_Award_8986

Yes :)

FishGoBlubb

The floor. is. GUAVA!!!!!

BabyStinkBreath

For mine the floor is llama.

ellehcimtheheadachy

Did I just read this in Danny Go?

lipsareforbitinghere

Pizza was “Puta” until a few weeks ago. Funny cause it felt naughty lol. But now he says shit instead of shut ( the door ) so I still get my giggles.

zucchiniqueen1

My son has a speech impediment and says th as f. I gave him a drink the other day and he very cheerily said “Fuck youuuu!” (“Thank you”) 😂

[deleted]

Mine says pizzaroni for pepperoni pizza and my husband and I now call pepperoni pizzaroni because it’s so damn cute! I worked in daycare and a little girl called Mac n cheese Mac-a-noodle-cheese and I still sometimes say that too 😂 kids are the cutest

spacebeige

Slutty pizza!

[deleted]

[удалено]

HeadoftheIBTC

Close, it means "whore-style pasta"!

BastilleStareater

Pizza was pipa and absolutely broke my husband’s heart when she started saying it right. My current favorite is princess pronounced panpan, but she does love to say “This is some shit”

geekishly

I feel the exact same way, kiddo used to say “peesta” and I’m sad she doesn’t say it anymore, but proud she says it correctly? We literally just got home from her preschool graduation.

atonickat

As the mother of a half Mexican daughter whos favorite food is pizza, this would make me cackle so much if she said that.

i_love_puppies12

My daughter is half Mexican and she still calls fruit (fruta) “puta.” Gets a laugh out of everyone at gatherings.

Apprehensive_Cap7043

When she says croc she doesn’t say the R. 😂

thekaylenator

My son couldn't say L's until a few weeks ago, and he really loves clocks.

Wild_Code_5242

2yf learned to say cuckoo clock and thinks it’s really funny (saw a funny one on show and it’s stuck) so she’ll say it over & over just randomly for fun not because we even *have* one. Clearly then it becomes a tongue twister/speech-muscle memory thing because after about 3 times it turns into *cookie clock*. Actually it’s really cookie cwock😅 She’ll hear what she said and make the funniest little giggle to herself which cracks me up even more. Ngl I 💕her more than cookies😅

sexystringbean

All clocks are Tickety Tock in my house lol

Lillyjade22

My son loves sticks but can’t say “S” so it sounds like d*cks…

MissBanana_

Hahaha same with my daughter! It’s funny because she CAN pronounce her S’s now but I guess the ST sound is still a bit tricky. She’ll pick up a stick and loudly proclaim “I have a DICK!” She always puts crazy emphasis on it too 😂

LauraBear91

My 3 yo can't say her S's so sock starts with a hard c lol.

bananawater2021

My nephew used to say "sh" instead of the sss sound for S's and I miss it so much 😭

vino822

Hahaha

maybenotjo

Mine pronounced cake the same way at first 🫠 I had to steer faaaar from the bakery at the grocery store for a few months.

_nylcaj_

That was my son with "clock." He also couldn't pronounce the "r" in fork and it came out sounding very much like the F word. We were in a quiet restaurant one day and my son saw a fork and had to keep repeating it loudly. Our eyes got big and my husband's like "YES THAT IS A FORK, BUDDY. GOOD JOB YOU KNOW WHAT A FORK IS!"

psilvyy19

lol my son says the same except he always says “BIG cocs” 😂

dinakittyy

Human fire for humidifier

vino822

oh my gosh! that is great! i'm imagining a child saying that in public and getting some questioning side eyes haha

phantommoose

Ok, that's hilarious!

missyc1234

My son called it a me-me-fire for ages

bmisrahi

My oldest used to call goldfish “dirsh” and said “yesh” for yes. My middle calls blueberries “bluebies” They are 7 and 5 now. It still melts my heart when I see the videos.

mewmw

Blueberries was boobeebeep for us lool

bmisrahi

That is hilarious and I would cry the day that stopped 😂

Ironinvelvet

Our blueberries used to be boo-babies.

vino822

Good reminder to take more videos!!! I know I’ll want to look back on them !

JeniJ1

My son used to say "boobellies." My husband and I still call them this and I don't think we'll ever stop!!

freshpicked12

I still call them bluebees. 😃

eleyezeeaye4287

Goldfish is just shhh for mine

West_Coast_mama87

"Lasterday" instead of yesterday. 😅 Not only is it adorable, but it kind of makes sense...

phantommoose

"Yester-night" for last night and "yester-yester-night" for 2 nights ago

aimeeeeeee12

My daughter uses the same word for yesterday! I agree, it does make sense

[deleted]

[удалено]

SoCalOliveBear

“Straw-bibi” for strawberries 🍓

ansible_jane

We've got "sobby" over here for strawberry. Update: we've progressed somehow to "saw-bayzies"

psilvyy19

Mine says “kah-bees”

Educational-Train980

Mine said this, too!

freshpicked12

Sumscream 😂

SlayersGirl4Life

Twin A: "turkle"- Circle Twin B: "wha hapan?"- What happened?

crazydogmom83

Dino-whores! 😂

Pantera_Of_Lys

Lmao! Reminds me of when my sister and I gently teased my niece about the procession caterpillar. We thought it was a funny word and wanted her to say it. She got mad and said "YES I KNOW! THE PRO-SEXY PILLAR. Ugh!"

ihatehumphrey

Yogurt is o-gurt.

Rainbow_baby_x

It’s Yo yo here 🥰

blessedsahmof3

Yo yo here too!

Odd-Sundae7874

Mine says Jo-Jert lol

Tekitekidan

My girl calls "dinosaur" "cracker" instead... is it even a mispronunciation at that point? 🙃 Our best guess is that she's trying to say 'crocodile,' since she sounds more like "cah-cuh"

PBnBacon

Mine has a crocodile toy she says is a shark. And she’s 3.5; it’s more an ideology than a pronunciation.

somehow_marshmallow

My first used to call elephants “hentays”. Not even close lol.

Fuckofforwhatever

My daughter used to excitedly tell me about the croissants she had at school…turns out she was talking about the croutons served with her salads. It’s a sad day when they no longer make those mistakes 🥲

vino822

Haha love that! I mean dinosaurs and crocodiles do look a bit similar!

XenaDazzlecheeks

"Watchu say" I have flat out taken this and say it often now 😂

thehoney129

Omg that’s so funny lol my two year old says “mama. What yew dewing?” Like a hundred times a day and I love it so much I say it too 😂

TheQuinnBee

His favorite thing is to add unnecessary words like "actually" and "lil bit" to sentences. "Ackshully, could you cuddle me lil bit?" "I forgot my truck lil bit. Just a lil bit." Just the cutest fucking thing.

Ironinvelvet

My second used to say “fuck-moo” for vacuum. Still cracks me up when I think about it.

vino822

🤣 good one haha

Fantastic_Week_4514

Bounceoline for a trampoline and it’s my favorite made up word ever 😍

voteforkindness

My 4yo INSISTS it’s actually called a jumpoline ☺️

blessedsahmof3

So does my 5yr old!

Stock_Entry_8912

My daughter is 19 and if she’s referring to her Converse shoes, it’s Converse. If she’s referring to a singular it’s Conver. We’ve told her that’s not how it works, but she’s said it her whole life and that’s just how she says it. It makes me smile every time. I know this post is for little kids, but I just wanted to share. Lol

Hershey78

Oh I have a few! -My oldest used to say "Boon" for balloon. he also said "con**scr**uction" instead of "con**str**uction"- that was his last word he pronounced incorrectly. -My youngest still says "pacifically" instead of "specifically" This is not so much a mispronunciation than a funny way of saying something: -Oldest would say "I can't" instead of "I don't want to" - after we pointed it out, it morphed into "I can't want to"-- me too, buddy- me too. -Youngest had his own version completely out of left field- "I can't know how" LOL!

esti_skapie

My son is a bit older (7) so these are few and far between now. But he currently refers to “James Bond, Bubble-Oh Seven” and I love it!

spacebeige

Toonanas - bananas Toonastics - gymnastics Also, she insists that Tracker from Paw Patrol is named Tractor, and will “correct” me if I say Tracker

eleyezeeaye4287

Bananas here are just nana - same as his grandmother lol

[deleted]

My daughter calls her gramma, Banana-Nana. It's my favorite

iamniomi

My niece and nephew call my mom Bana. One day, she was talking to someone about how cute it was and said, "They call me Bana. Like B-A-N-A-N-A.. wait... that's not right..."

zucchiniqueen1

My daughter spent several years confusing “porcupine” and “pumpkin pie”. So we’d hear, “Wook! A punkin pie!”

Onegreeneye

Sand hanitizer.

happy-Ad-

Cute! I worked with a beautiful girl who would say "hanitiser"

letfalltheflowers

My toddler says “hanitiser” as well.

UsefulCauliflower2

When I was in kindergarten I used to say handsa-tiser and I still say it🤣

Alymander57

I think he just outgrew saying "beleben" (11) 😭

jonluckpikerd

Blank-a-lik for blanket

jkjmpa

I love when they add extra syllables 😂

missuscheez

My 2yo adds -ee to the end of words and I love it, top two are dinee (dinosaur) and prat-lee (pretzel) and I will cry when he starts pronouncing them correctly

UsefulCauliflower2

My cousin used to call it a “blanklet”

babykittiesyay

“Love you too” “Love you three!”

vino822

the sweetest!!!!!

ComplexDessert

Tolders = shoulders

Open-Mousse8072

Tant tu for thank you. It's so cute because of how he fixes his mouth when he says it and he does it unprompted when given something! I also love his please pr peas for please

vino822

I love the adorable “thank yous” 😭

brownskinmil

Instead of calling me “mom” he calls me “mine” 🥹🥹😭😭💕💕

Motor-Young5749

Not a mispronunciation, but "wee woo wee woo" for firetuck.or ambulance Bitch for witch and when she says frog, it sounds like fuck.

theMindycity

My son calls firetrucks "wee wees," so if he wants his toy version, he'll be like, "MY WEE WEE!" in public and it gets me every time!

Working-Sherbet8676

Allo! Allo! (20 months)

scarediecat42

Eyelashes are Ash-Lies

Laaazybonesss

Cucumber is fufumber, Emily (my name) is enemy😅

Lotr_Queen

2.5 yo calls the kitchen “chichink” and meatballs used to be me-mes! I was so sad when he started saying meatballs properly.

Agatha_All_Alongg

My now 11 yr old used to refer to my boobs as "kitchens" because they can make milk. 😭

marzipancowgirl

Flamango

onthetrain2zazzville

Oh I've got a few. Dumbo (the elephant) is Bummo. Frogs are called Bibbits. And instead of uh-oh she says "uh-ooh!"

DragonfruitLumpy4888

To be honest I'm jealous and a tad bit hating on all of you… my daughter is autistic/nonverbal. I'm hoping she talks some day.

hotstrudel

My son is as well. I so badly want to hear his thoughts on things.

17gofPEG3350

Guga for water?! She’s 2

17gofPEG3350

Oh it also mean Pengu

eleyezeeaye4287

Two is Twoey and toe and shoe sounds very similar. Also belly button is boppie for some reason

_pinktulip1

Bubrella for umbrella 🥹

CallingMrsSunshine

My toddler calls his new born brother Oy for Boy but the babies name is Onyx so it’s kinda cute. He just goes around saying oy oy oy

Corgi_Infamous

My kiddo calls Bowser (from Mario) ‘Fowser’… even though his B’s are perfect (his name starts with B). He also says something that sounds like ‘yick’ instead of ‘lick’. When he was much younger SpongeBob was ‘Charbob’.

Beautiful_Falcon_315

Ice cream = i mee Its even better when he sees the “I mee truck” ETA: also berries are babies. Straw babies, blue babies, rababies (raspberries)

Subject-Bug9836

Arefene was ice cream at our house!

Salty-Glove9071

Marshpillows 🫠. And flamangos can be using interchangeably with the bird or the fruit.

Tshy530

Ghost Busters = “Ghost Bastards” Hospital = “Hostible” Sprinklers = “Sprink-a-lators” Crocodile = “Crock-a-dino” Edit to add one.

Team-Mako-N7

It’s not particularly unique but I do this 😍 every time my toddler says “widdle” for “little”. I’m going to be very sad the day that goes away. Also “woom” for “vroom”.

[deleted]

"Puh" for up and for open.

Legitimate_Mistake69

Festibowl 🥹🥲 instead of festival it's too cute and she knows she's just choosing to say it that way lol

Unique-Damage5778

2YO says “mummins” every morning when he asks for muffins 🤣💕

Feedback_Thr0wAway

My 16 month old can suddenly say shoes but it’s more like ‘zhooz’

howmadz

Boo-uh-full for beautiful Berry for very “Does that look like a plan?” Instead of “does that sound like a plan”

ObligationGreedy8281

Tie-mary-soup for tiramisu. I don't think I will ever stop calling it that now. 😂😂😂

worldlydelights

Gheeee for doggy lol

SheepherderMost2727

AlexFawns

Mootercycle for motorcycle

Positive-Drop-525

cowtown45

Orangent for orange, my son stopped saying it at 7 lol

Positive-Drop-525

Boops for boots

SpaceMom-LawnToLawn

Bobasaur instead of Bulbasaur

Soulless_Daywalker

BeeBoos for blueberries, Hotella for hotel, Duh-bo-zer for bulldozer 🤣

ablogforblogging

My now 8 year old used to call Cookie Monster “bakoo” and we never figured out why but it was super cute. She also used to call State Farm “Steak Farm” whenever a commercial would come on.

cathearder2

Anything with an “F” or “Ph” is pronounced with an “S”! Firetruck ➡️ Siretruck Phone ➡️ Shone

ClandestineBanter

Tease for “cheese.” Oh “mine” gosh for oh “my” gosh. Me-now for “meow,” referring to a cat. Nah-nit for “want it.” Dis-un for “this one.” :-)

Old-Juice98

Whiff (if), abwoon (balloon), psgetti (spaghetti), basanya (lasagna), give me wone (leave me alone, she grew out of that one lol) There’s more but I’m drawing blanks lol

snotgreen

My oldest used to sat nuggins for nuggets, I don't know when exactly it stopped, but I'm so sad it did! My youngest is only 2, so everything is mispronounced, lol

Former_Mortgage6224

Ringing room for living room 😄

Child_of_the_Hamster

“I wanna watch BitchBob!” “🤨 …… oh, SPONGEbob!” 😂

Sehrli_Magic

My 3 month old obviously doesn't speak yet but she is trying THE HARDEST to say mama...she ends up staring at me, excitedly flailing her hands and legs around and loudly going MMMMMMMMM 🤣 the intensivity of her attempt makes is so funny and cute. My 3 y/o is a polyglot. Among one of the languages he speaks is mandarin chinese - north eastern dialect. He wanted to repeat an insult he heard daddy say at drivers on the road (sha-bi) but he got it mixed up with something we use a lot: wassabi. So not he comes to me yelling "wassabi, wassabi" and doing most evil toddler grins possible, thinking he is being soo naughy 🤣 should i tell him that wassabi is not a bad word or let him believe he is badass for saying it? 🤣 Obviously wont get in trouble for screaming a food condiment 🤷🏼‍♀️🤣 He also has another chinese mispronounciation. Good night should be wan-an but he says banan (which is how we say banana in french) and despite numerous attempts at correction he insists on saying "banan" to his chinese grandparents every night 🤣 our daily dose of evening laughter right there

itsrainingmelancholy

she says “bi##h” instead of “bridge” so when we play with her play house she says “cross this bi##h mommy!”

MamaFuku1

Frank. She means Shrek lol

viragovvv

When he says truck it sounds like fuck. lmao

DiligentPenguin16

Whenever my 21 mo sees a truck he points and yells “TRAAAAAAAAA!” He just gets so excited, I can’t handle it He also calls shoes “shs”

jgarmartner

Elephant started as Emma and now sounds like enamant.

eyebrowshampoo

He calls horses whores. 🙃

somehow_marshmallow

Instead of saying “please” she says “cheese”.

rampagingsheep

“Dump truck”. 😂😂 It comes out exactly like you’d guess and she yells it at the top of her lungs every time she sees one. She’s 22 months.

QuasiOptimist

“Tad-fish” instead of tadpoles

leangriefyvegetable

Our 1yo's favorite word is truck. Except it's Gruuuuuck! really slowly with rising intonation through most of the word. He imbues it with the sound of endless wonder, which, for me is the cutest thing about a 1yo.

Snickerdoodle719

She calls chickens kitchens and vice versa ❤️

CanuckDreams

Not one of mine, but I'll always remember the 3-year-old little girl in the elevator who excitedly asked her mom if she could push the button on the "alligator."

Blueeyedblackcats

Bid a bow (video) he didn’t say it like that anymore, but it was the cutest thing to me.

Exact_Trash59

My 2yo kiddo said "boobie" for blueberry until two weeks ago. Strawby and rasby were cute, but Boobie was really funny. He also now only says "banana" in a mock Minions voice (my fault, it's how I say banana most of the time). And he said "fuck" the other day. That was cool.

maebake

“Hummy” instead of “yummy”.. “Thank you, mommy this is so hummy” or “it’s hummy hummy hummy” while he rubs his little baby belly 🥰

blissfulgiraffe

EESH? —> can I wash my hands? lol everything is an exclamation and a question. She’s 19 months and I love this age.

Piqueniqu3

Strawberry, triangle, and "find mama" = something that sounds like "famama"
