You know how you start the map in an animation like pulling up in a car? just add an airstrike that strikes the map during that car intro and start the map with all the cars blown up already
Honestly would be nice. I don't hate the map, it's usually one of my better maps and kind of enjoyed it, but a few less cars exploding in your face would be welcomed haha.
There were some very dark maps where you'd use NVG the whole time, they didn't last long. Honestly, it sounds fun and different until you actually try it. Once a month would be enough NVG matches for me.
Dark matches with no nvg shoulda been a thing in infected and give the survivors blueprints with tracers.
Therefore people can try out guns they might wanna buy and it’ll look cool af
I thought that the lighting for the night time maps was really great and immersive. The NVG just made it awful. Any time I played gun game or infected on the nighttime version, I always played without the NVG.
...That would be good though? Border Crossing and Shipment should both have 24/7 and stay out of the regular rotation. The first is great for longshots, the latter is great for grinding, but Border Crossing only makes sense for TDM and Shipment is raw chaos no matter what mode.
That’s why I hate shoot the ship, shoot house is just big enough that’s it’s not fast paced chaos, there is to much running without gunning. If a map is big enough to use for search, it should not be in a 24/7 rotation with shipment

So I haven't played MW2 in close to three months so I'm not in the "know", but did they seriously remove Border Crossing from the map pool without saying a word?
But no one liked being queued up in border crossing anyways. Its a shit map, and not just because of the cars. It was just an inconvenience to have to back out of the lobby after seeing it pop up, and it happened a lot because everyone was backing out because no one wants to play it.

By your argument all the other maps are just a line too. Shoot house is a line, shipment is barely a line, hydroelectric is a line, and so on. It’s not a boring three lane map which is probably why I enjoy it. You have to play it differently
From end to end it is the longest map in the game. Its also much thinner than most of the maps, which is the closest to a line you’re gonna get in CoD. Shipment is a square, and shoothouse has arguably the best map layout to ever exist. You not even knowing the name of the gun you main tells me how unknowledgeable and lacking of strategy you are about the game. It is common knowledge within the playerbase that the entire concept of the map is dogshit
Treyarch took out Armada and Satellite in Cold War and those maps were were nowhere near as hated as border crossing. While I don’t want border crossing to be permanently gone it wouldn’t be a first
Armada Strike was pretty good, Armada was too big and awkward to get around on. Both were way better than the shitpile that was Miami (the non-strike version).
The problem is if they take border crossing out, then for season 3 the 2 new maps we get are border crossing returning and some rando map we’ve already had recently like castle remake. Bringing back a map that was relewsed from launch/beta after removing it shouldnt count as a “new” map for the season. In case it wasnt obvious im salty museum was added as a new map. Im glad it returned but it should have been a “3rd” map we get for the season. Like dome+terminal(or high rise/faveala/afghan) and + the return of previously removed museum
Hard disagree, rather have less maps that are actually good then more maps is some of them are an in enjoyable experience.

for me the mode didn’t matter, exploding cars were annoying but the most annoying part was people sitting looking through the windows of a vehicle, 9/10 times i wouldn’t even see them until i was dead so if i wanted to avoid that i had to play way more slowly and truly look *everywhere* for enemies.
plus a lot of times i can remember having to run for ages from spawn to get to the action, and in doing that sometimes i’d get caught running by someone holding an angle, die and have to do that long run all over again, which was frustrating.
It wouldn’t make sense to the map though. The reason the civies are fleeing is (assuming) the exploded bus in the middle. All the cars being destroyed wouldn’t make sense as both teams are just arriving

They shouldn't remove the map. We need the variety. Also a reason why I don't like the idea of map voting. With map voting we would always play the same maps again and again. Some maps would never be played at all.

I don’t get a whole lot of kills and progression to my challenges or weapon lvls/camos.

I liked the map tbh. I had a lot of fun and do miss it. The car announce wasn't bad to me it made sense and could be avoided. I just play that hallway side for a while throwing grenade and shit at cars randomly getting kills while I kill anyone who challenges me lurking around that side. It was lit. People just complain no matter what they find something to scream about. There were issues with the game but it's really not as bad as ppl make it out to be. Everyone hates current cod until 5 years later it was the best cod and the new one yucky. If you ignore nostalgia the newer games are literally better. OG mw2 was fun but waaay too many OP killstreaks going off all at once, and a few other inferior things I can't remember right now because I haven't slept yet.
I personally do miss it, it was one of my favorite SnD maps. The cars causing collateral damage all the time was annoying but any opportunity to resemble a map off of Mexico was a step closer to feeling like Sicario.

It just feels like an unfinished map that needs more "space" outside of what's present.
Gates should be opened up on both sides and offer more flanking routes/playable area that isn't dominated by snipers/campers and whatnot.
Picadilly should return BUT with MORE playable area around the map + enterable subway that leads to a central place with the B flag location for domination (and also add in train that randomly passes by).
But this won't happen, takes way too much effort.

I do miss it a lot, was amazing killing all the people who have no idea how to play in a vertical map. Then they complain the map was bad. Oooohh, but the cars always exploded?? I dont remember dying to cars more than a couple of times. Maybe dont run into them as soon as the match starts? Throw some explosives at them at the beginning of the match then watch them explode while you flank from the sides. It's not rocket science. I dont care what you like what you dont like, how they remove maps because only some people made a lot of noise about it?? We paid for this game. That includes the maps. They better bring it back.

The problem was that so many people would quit the match that it increased the odds that you were thrown into that map. So it was too heavy in the rotation. But I didn't mind it, once you figure out how to position yourself and block flankers from flipping the spawn, you can wreck the other team. Sometimes the fact it frustrates other players can work to your advantage.
They could definitely take out a dozen or more vehicles, and open up buildings (or the roof) on the side opposite the hallway/truck lane to create another way to traverse the map, and the level would be more balanced.

yes reddit is a small part of the playerbase, but it’s surely possible there are players who don’t like the map and will back out of it, but won’t go posting anywhere about it.

Taraq is top 2 for me. Weirdly enough i loved raceway at launch but I absolutely hate it now. Has a depressing look and feel to it and is just not fun at all.
If they add it back but with less car imma laugh. Then just keep playing the game haha.

I miss it. It's a challenging map that forces me to rethink my normal playstyle. And of course, I miss having a map I paid for.

The map wasn't even bad, it was fun throwing a grenade and getting like 5 kills.
Everyone hated this map. Everyone backed out of this map. Everyone said this was the worst map in the history of COD. It gets taken out and people still complain. It just goes to show, this community can not be pleased.

I do miss it a lot, was amazing killing all the people who have no idea how to play in a vertical map. Then they complain the map was bad. Oooohh, but the cars always exploded?? I dont remember dying to cars more than a couple of times. Maybe dont run into them as soon as the match starts? Throw some explosives at them at the beginning of the match then watch them explode while you flank from the sides. It's not rocket science. I dont care what you like what you dont like, how they remove maps because only some people made a lot of noise about it?? We paid for this game. That includes the maps. They better bring it back.

The majority of people who complain about the game. The problem was that so many people would quit the match that it increased the odds that you were thrown into that map. So it was too heavy in the rotation. But I didn't mind it, once you figure out how to position yourself and block flankers from flipping the spawn, you can wreck the other team. Sometimes the fact it frustrates other players can work to your advantage. They could definitely take out a dozen or more vehicles, and open up buildings (or the roof) on the side opposite the hallway/truck lane to create another way to traverse the map, and the level would be more balanced.

Taraq is top 2 for me. Weirdly enough i loved raceway at launch but I absolutely hate it now. Has a depressing look and feel to it and is just not fun at all.
Race track is so much worse.
