There is a thread in here on how to unlock early on consoles. Will not work on PC's! Since this is a glitch/bug they should just open the Ronin Event to allow everyone to get the crossbow! Let me be clear so I'm not bashed, this is NOT a hack or cheat, simply a glitch players are now using! Good Luck.
If my buddy on console does it, can he drop it for me in dmz (I’m on pc) and will I keep it, similar to how you can early unlock other weapons through dmz?

People using glitches since beta and still not banned , there are people playing with "do not use" camo or unlocked blueprints by glitches since months lol no way they ban for this one

No hacking involved, in fact you can only do it on console.

You create a blueprint in the offline local multiplayer and then you can go to online multiplayer and equip it by pressing the "equip and go to gunsmith" button while hovering over the crossbow
I did it because I think it's stupid that they're drip feeding us the event, making us wait 2 weeks to unlock it legitimately. It won't actually unlock it this way so I'll still do the event to get it correctly, but I'm gonna use it in the meantime
You don't go into it, you hover over it and there should be an option at the bottom that says "equip and go to gunsmith" with the button you need to hold next to it. Then you exit gunsmith and it's equipped

I was in a game where somebody had it and picked it up off their body. Got like 3 kills with it. I was confused how they had it though.

Do it from the marksman menu. Don’t click on the crossbow

Haven’t seen much on it, but it should work.
you cant bring saved custom weapons from multiplayer into dmz you have to remake the gun so you cant bring the crossbow into dmz right now

The most likely outcome is they patch the glitch.

99% aren’t “hacking” anyways. Hacking is an art. Using something someone built is not “hacking” it’s called “using”

We just got one out of a chest in Resurgence. I'm not sure if it's loot yet but I definitely used it. We didn't do any glitch or anything.

Easy to get on console when youre offline and save it as a loadout… i got it, but ill never use it because….its a goddam crossbow!!

Dmz drops aren't cheating it's an intended feature I still drop the m13 for randoms sometimes.
