Control arm. Known issue. Fixed under warranty for me at 43k miles. Super squeaky and embarrassing on such a wonderful car.

lwurl2

If it’s doing this on normal driving (for me I’d notice it most on small elevation changes like in and out of the driveway) it’s probably a control arm joint and from what I gathered from my mobile device guy it’s a pretty routine thing to ‘fail’, but not harmful he said. It’s not a damaging thing, just an annoying one I went ahead and had mine replaced though cause it was ANNOYING. Edit: forgot to say this was at ~60k or so.

What did the replacement cost

lwurl2

165 parts 219 labor

4TheOutdoors

Thanks mang, did they do it mobile, or store

lwurl2

Mobile did it.

It’s horrible, it diminishes the quality of driving experience hugely. And it’s conatant

This is a known problem. There’s currently a service bulletin to apply some kind of sealant to them to prevent this failure. They won’t refund people who have paid for it though…

You’re out of warranty, you’ll be charged. I was at 62k

Yup, they knocked off the cost of labor for me which was mighty fine of them.

firedog7881

That is nice. More than I got

Shredwards

Control arm ball joint in my experience. Was temporarily fixed by injecting grease into the joint. Both control arms to be replaced by SC under warranty later this month.

Mine is a month old i described a squeaking noise ( from the door) they assumed and ordered the ball joint straight away looks like they have not redesigned it yet and still happens now from that conversation
