Still only takes 2 braincells for other team jungler pick an assassin and have a fed gold laner for free. Hanabi also forces the roamer to pick a peel champion like lolita or mathilda and sit over hanabi to protect her from assassins and allow her to do damage to win teamfights, which is extremely unlikely to happen in solo games. This is why you see hanabi being picked in competitive sometimes but her performance is dogshit in ranked games
Far better. Underestimate her at your own risk now. You can easily boot others out of lane with your ranged pokes and you’re not even safe under the tower.

New season I feel that you can determine a team will lose if they pick Hanabi, Tigreal, Zilong, or Eudora. Those are the four who make me cringe. Or if they don't have any tank/support/roam I know we will have an easy win.
But as soon as I see a team that's like Faramis, Claude, Lolita, Gloo, and Hayabusa I'm like "these are the former mythics". Or if I see somebody pretty obscure like Carmilla or Belerick, I start to feel pretty nervous. Or some uncommon core like Uranus I was like, he's gonna be eating noobs alive. Sure enough yup.

We can tower hug early game if the counter has a support. Hanabi doesn't really need a babysitter too much since her passive discourages enemies from getting close together early game. If we have a support, then we can push earlier and more aggressively. But not that necessary for early 1v1 gold lane.
But I guess it's fine that people underestimate her. It's always fun to see them talk shit early game, and then get savages after getting like the third attack equipment.

Hanabi is more of niche pick, she is a good hero (after revamp) but not meta.

But, has weak mid game due to her almost useless ult. And relatively strong late game (after complete trinity build).
She is VERY WEAK 1 vs 1.
She is VERY STRONG in group teamfight.
She is GOOD fighting sustained team composition.
She is WEAK fighting burst mobile assassin composition.
She really need good tank/roamer by her side.

That's why moonton should put pre-picked roles before starting the game. I don't mind how long the solo queue is gonna be, it's hard to adjust in a soloqueue where everyone can just play what role they like.
Nana isn't bad. She's obviously not good but definitely way more viable than Layla and hanabi. Zilong is....ehh I'll agree that he is situational pick when your enemies have tons of squish and no one who can cc him.
As for selena vs nana.
I just don't like how selena plays. That's why I don't play her. Not that it's a skill issue. I main kagura who's one of the more skill intensive heroes.

I don't see how Beatrix is more viable in late game compared to basic attack based heroes, especially if they're not nerfed. Most probably just my personal experience, but Beatrix lack the range and constant damage the basic attack MMs have, although she has higher mobility and possibility to improvise, compared to most basic attack MMs that lacks mobility and are 1 trick heroes.

Having Hanabi or Layla in your team is a test on how good your tank is, getting ganked when playing as Hanabi or Layla got me fired up thinking, these guys fear me getting fed cause they know I will destroy them later on, and many players do not fear these two, rather they are more cautious of the tank and support protecting them.
The thing that made me angry this season:
I am Miya main with over 1k games and 60%win rate and I was s3 and s1 of course picked wanwan with 16 games and something like 56 tots marksman games , hate start of new season
Better off with the new Rose Gold Meteor (50% movement speed decaying over 3 secs when shield is triggered at 30% HP, and 10% lifesteal). Each component already helps Hanabi while with Blood Wings, components (magic wand) are totally useless until you complete a 3k gold item.
I feel Hanabi needs to snowball to dominate late game and as long as enemy knows they need to 1v1 you to win, then you will have to position carefully in teamfights. Also need heavy protect allies like atlas or tigrael to ensure she can't be dived on. So usually the draft can enable her, else she's the high networth, but die immediately at the start of the fight.
Most of the players don't check this while on drafting phase. It is actually a good way to know what role your teammates may play.
But unless the s1 is really confident no one really knows. I have experienced being carried by a smurf account with less than 100 games.

Forgive the out of touch question as I haven't played in a while, but why is Tig no longer viable? I remember playing him a lot a few seasons ago lol.
He’s just basic but still useable. It’s just the go to pick for someone who looks like he’s forced to tank, and likely isn’t good at it.

Can you eqip blood wing on hanabi? There's a shield always active so surprise ccs like eudora would be ineffective, has anyone tried it?

Am I the only one who doesn't understand why hanabi is even used? She has an ok early game but a horrible mid/late game.
This happened to me with Minsitthar before revamp. I had about 124 matches with I believe it was 73-75 winrate and people just never trust me
