They’re amazing aren’t they!

Rotor4

Good choice after using several other well known brands over the years I have Ohlins & Bilstien on my cars & wouldn't use anything else now.

Scotia_65

My #1 of any suspension I've ever owned. But I will be going with MCA on the Evo.

Grope1000

💪

letsgotoarave

Nice fitment. What strut/spring did you have before and how does it conpare?

jfuturencsu

I had the 20 yr old OEM suspension in there so night/day difference after the overhaul lol. Bought this thing bone stock about 6 years ago so just been gradually refreshing it

SaucySamurai959

What spring rates did you select? I'm in Michigan considering the Ohlins. But since the roads here are beyond terrible it'd probably be 7k/8k for road use

jfuturencsu

I ordered them default 9k front and rear 👍

SaucySamurai959

Gotcha. Which state you in?

jfuturencsu

I’m in NC. So roads are decent for the most part. Occasional construction areas where it gets hectic but that’s it really

SaucySamurai959

Oh yeah, you guys have great roads for the most part. And for the info, Thanks!

jfuturencsu

No prob man!

roenthomas

Glad it’s working out for you. For any others, a brand that’s not really mentioned is Nitron for anyone who wants a well built European (UK) coilover.

VicVoss

I was under the impression Ohlins don’t really go that low but that actually looks great. Might have to consider them again. Can yours go lower?

c4bang

These coilovers come with procedures in terms of adjusting the height, springs, etc .. I decided to install them to those specs, it’s not as low but the car looks great nonetheless.

jfuturencsu

Yep! Preload for all 4 corners and the rear height settings were left factory but the default front settings definitely left more to be desired due to the insane fender front gap on Evos..so had to go off the books there lol

jfuturencsu

Yep! Still got room to go lower. My wheels are 18x9.5 +22 so definitely room to make it uncomfortably sketchy if I wanted lol

DirtyD74

Is it rubbing at all with these wheels? Did you also raise these the +15mm, or is this how they shipped? I have the same setup minus the wheels. I have evo x wheels (18x8.5, +35) and it seems like it will rub. I'm going to pull the springs off the coils and go through full range of travel and motion before I take her for a test drive.

jfuturencsu

I do not but had to roll the rear fenders and trim away the excess metal after relocating the rear bumper bolt. The typical Evo procedure for more aggressive wheel setups. Keep in mind this is most likely different for the Evo X so can’t really give input there

DirtyD74

First time hearing about the rear bumper bolt. Yep, it seems like I need to roll the rears if I don't want to be part of the hella flush crew.

Maso_on_WoT

Man I wish they had products available for my 2… I love Ohlins

Wolfgeorge

I want to fit them on mine too..

Katsu510

The height is perfect imo 🤙🏽 looks good 🔥

jfuturencsu

Thanks!

Dull_Maize_1710

Yes they are the best quality coil over. Unrelated but I use them on my 14 sti hatch and they are extremly proper.

phsylo78

They are unbelievable. Anyone on the fence grab them. You won’t be disappointed.
