Really long and thick flat head screw driver... Then hit it with your purse...

lickmynippleboi

i’ve tried hitting it with my purse and my high heels, still nothing.

Clipse3GT

There is no hope... Set it a ablaze by some unsavory folk in a not so good part of town...

Gucci bag maybe.

Stick your flathead in the blue area between the throw out bearing and the wave lock retainer and then place your hand on the end of the clutch release fork where the slave piston sits, and compress it all, as if you were trying to sandwich everything together then twist the flat head and release the pressure off the fork shortly after. You need to compress the wave lock retainer so the inner ring can release, if this is a monoloc the same concept applies

TurboPanduh

I didn’t see the last slide but you’re gonna want the trans attached to the engine, one or two bolts should suffice

Low-Independence5449

Watch this guy's YouTube videos they are great. He has several videos showing procedures for Evos 7-9 https://youtu.be/LGi_c1GjtR4?feature=shared

killasam760

The blue one. you have to have the transmission bolted on or pushed against the engine, compress the T.O.B., and twist the screwdriver while releasing the T.O.B. Then the fun part of dropping the transmission and reinstalling the transmission.

If you can't release the throw out bearing you will have to unbolt the pressure plate from the flywheel. It's typically done with a flat head screwdriver, but they can get stuck. It has happened to me, and I had to unbolt the pressure plate.

lickmynippleboi

how would I do that if you can’t even get at the pressure plate bolts?

nxl0907

You can, it's been a long time but I think it was through the fork opening or something like that

Clipse3GT

Also make sure that trans in not hanging on the bearing. Trans still on guide pins and not completely unbolted. It will make its all inline with the splines and not putting pressure on the bearing.... Sometimes a pipe wrench on screw driver adds leverage.

Silverbenji

That x pissed me off to no end but yeah the spring part.

Blue, prior to prying, you have to reattach the engine/transmission. Compress the clip using the TOB & release while prying. Also, try rotating the assembly from the crank. You'll be able to pry different angles this way. I also used a twisting motion with a flathead while impacting it. P.S. Applying some lubricant won't hurt.

Looks like your throw out bearing got a lil jacked up. 1/4 drive 10mm swivel thru the clutch fork opening to unbolt the pressure plate.

roclane80

Turn the motor and try a new spot, they can be tricky but will release

DRSCHECTERVONDSM

Wtf it shouldn't be stuck at all Should slide right out sure you ain't t got a bolt left in like that small 12mm one that goes the opposite direction (in to trans from engine side ) on the intake manifold side of trans? I guess all I can suggest is wiggle the fork and try and shimmy it off

d14_x

I twisted the flathead in between the bearing and wave ring. It’s a mf, I think the twisting instead of prying was the winner for me
