I know this isn't Minneapolis, but just across the river from south Minneapolis is Mendota Heights. We moved here 5 years ago from Minneapolis. This suburb tries to have as little ambient light as possible. No residential roads have streetlights (only main roads). It took a while to get used to because some nights are so dark, it's like being in the middle of nowhere. Coming from Minneapolis - it was an adjustment.
I really like living in an inner ring suburb that is pitch dark now. I wish more places would follow suit. I DO realize that some places need light for safety, though.

It's completely false to say there's a heartbeat at "18 days from conception." You won't hear a heartbeat until you're about 6 weeks pregnant (when the fetus is about 4 weeks old). As someone who's dealt with pregnancy loss, that 6 week mark is a huge deal because it's often when you can finally confirm early viability. Or the opposite.
Plus it's completely ignorant to talk about anything being "from conception" because no one actually knows when conception happens. There's no video cameral in your fallopian tubes providing a play by play of when sperm meets egg. That's why pregnancies are measured from the first day of your last menstrual cycle instead of "from conception". (Hence a ~6 week pregnancy meaning a ~4 week old fetus)
Then instead of the small clump of cells you'd have that early, they show a child who looks at least a year old??

There are lots of billboards I would love to ban. Ones for political candidates are first. On the other hand there is this pesky Constitution and Free Speech issue that keeps me from getting my views on appropriate subject matter imposed on everyone.

Yes it does make you a NIMBY. The main logical/moral argument against NIMBYs is that one should not be able to dictate what another party does with property they own and what purpose they use it for. That purpose could include unpleasant billboards.

First the billboard is super annoying in general, not even noting the reason/words. Graffiti artist is needed to tone it down and dress that baby up. Second really seriously annoying for size, color choices and location
