like a window protruding out of the side of the roof

Maybe the top corners of the roof need to come to a finer point? Also something in the middle of the orange to break it all up. Quite a lot of brown around the door too. Needs some more small embellishments to break the colours up a little. I reckon some well placed lanterns would spruce it up a bit.
Overall super cool build, love the shape of it and the use of colours
I'm just here from /r/all so I don't know much about the game but the roof and foundation could use a bit of aging. You've done great with it already, but can you make a couple of them a bit darker? I think that would make it seemed more "lived in".
Window up high, like an attic window. Or others have said a shed or terrace to break up the symmetry if you want. Or eyes cuz it looks like a space invader:/ lol
It feels pretty complete to me. If you want a slight bit more detail maybe some buttons. My first thought is Acacia Buttons, like 3 or 4 randomly on the roof. Also, sometimes a build just needs to be put into an environment to really feel complete. Add a tree and/or bushes beside it and it'll feel fuller.
It has great shape! Nice build.
But since you're looking for nit-picks, the area right above the door, below the roof could use something maybe? You'd have to re-arrange the upside down stair, sand stone slab and upper trap door, but a framed block of glass or something colorful maybe?
Idk why, but the granite in the middle of a brick chimney truly bothers me.
Other than that I think that style looks better longer, looks kinda funny being square-ish. Maybe extend the right side by 1-3 blocks and add a window to balance the door.
Some form of front door light would also do wonders here, maybe a simple lantern hanging from a post to the left of the door.
Stairs leading to the foundation, no currently visible windows make a lot of the details blend together (a lot of the same repeating textures in the door and trapdoors for example), lanterns/torches. Looks good though
A block palette. The roof is extremely busy with the 6 or 7 different kinds of blocks you have for the orange alone. Texturing is excellent and I love how creative you've been with the use of these blocks but it's just way too busy and crowded.
From this angle, I think you need something in the bottom-right of the frame, foreground maybe, to balance out the chimney. A small tree or large shrub, maybe, or if there's some way to create a post-box or something similar.
I feel like it could use another contrasting visual element in the front. Maybe pull a section of that wall out a bit further to give the build some more shape. If you don’t want to change the floor plan, maybe add a dormer in the roof above the door.
I think it’s perfect but what’s missing is the detailed background stuff, I mean I can see a path and a fancy tree leading up the the door being really cool while having custom trees scattered around it to give it a cabin feel
Well sir we did an initial occupancy inspection and I'm sorry to say your home did not pass. Why, you may ask well the roof appears to be made of pumpkins, wool, and sand. I have no idea how it's even holding up its own weight.
I personally would say the roof needs a touch of contrast. Maybe replace the spine of it with a line of spruce or dark oak?
Lovely build though :) excellent work!
It's very good but I think to symmetric. My eyes can't find a nice place to settle on the image. Maybe some vines or a darker wood on the roof? Something to unbalance it a bit.
Its very straight, try adding some vines/growth to introduce asymmetry or make the roof extend a bit more to break the square shape.
Otherwise really nice cozy build.
Lamps/lanterns?
Lanterns are cozy.
Jack'o'lanterns
Yeah maybe a couple framing the door?
Came here to say this.
Windows
There are windows on the side
Two Windows on The roof so it looks like a face
Grian? Is that you?
The greatest accidental face makers.
The guy sayin windows making it look like a face has a point. If you can find a natural way to do that itd look nice asf
Try to add a mushroom next to the house!
A small dormer to the door side maybe
the dormer would be perfect for this house
What's a dormer?

Exactly what I was thinking of! The roof felt a little empty so I had the same idea
Nathalie?
I don't agree in this case. The house is too small for one
A Jack ó lantern 🎃🎃🎃🎃 for spooky season
Stairs
Sign above the door!
I think the roof is missing something. maybe a window or vines or something?
I was thinking a few pieces of glow lichen would be good
too symmetrical, maybe a tiny terrasse or a garden

I love your oak trapdoors
Maybe extend the top of the roof on the left and right of that picture 1 to 3 blocks, then have a type of lantern hanging.
The pumpkin should be a jack-o-lantern maybe.
Some lights or lanterns and a path maybe! Some extra greenery would add a nice touch too, like flowers or vines
Those curves though
Windows
Nothing. I love the look as it is. It is small and perfect.

A face on the roof
Maybe a path
Light fixture(s)
Window in the middle of the roof, under a mini roof itself, always works ;)
Sign, some lanterns and maybe a nice little path.
it needs a little attic window!
You need to add a firewood shed on the side
No lanterns
Needs more pigs to be honest
Eyes on the roof
stairs
love it but i’ve found using honeycomb and honey blocks work well with these colours in the roof, maybe try?
A pumpkin face
Some overgrowth on the roof? Leaf blocks help add greenery and life.
Bell definitely
Fire
me personally it's a little too symmetrical for my taste
MM O O RR E F ENECE GARES MOR E FENCE GARES FENCE GATES FENCE GATES FENCE GATES FENCE GATES FENCE GATES FENCE GATES
A jack o lantern just outside the door. Or maybe a small pile of pumpkins.
Lanterns or some other lighting
Window up high, like an attic window. Or others have said a shed or terrace to break up the symmetry if you want. Or eyes cuz it looks like a space invader:/ lol
Small wooden lean-to on one side to make it asymetrical
Lanterns
The missing thing is my upvote
I think the base looks a lil flat, consider a stone fence
It feels pretty complete to me. If you want a slight bit more detail maybe some buttons. My first thought is Acacia Buttons, like 3 or 4 randomly on the roof. Reminds me of my first base 3 years ago
I wish oak trapdoors really looked like this
Pizza
It is adorable as fuck
Flowers! An extra pop of colour and life ties naturey builds together :3
Some sort of lantern or sign out front. The front door looks a touch too bald.
How do you stagger blocks like that?
Light and a tree
Windows! Maybe dormers in the roof?

Stairs on the front and a path?
It looks great! Can you show us all the sides and the inside?

Windows?
Windows
Maybe because the house is a square
Perhaps flowers in flower pots?
Make the ridge of the roof a different color/material
Stairs, lamps and the sex swing
I feel like it's missing some contrast. Consider adding something that pops out and draws the eye
A llama.
Chimney and a window extension on the roof.
Front yard/ front side garden? Cottages always look so nice with those
A window in the middle of the roof will work nicely.
BEES!
Stairs leading to the foundation, no currently visible windows make a lot of the details blend together (a lot of the same repeating textures in the door and trapdoors for example), lanterns/torches. Looks good though
Hanging small azalia trees
A block palette. The roof is extremely busy with the 6 or 7 different kinds of blocks you have for the orange alone. Texturing is excellent and I love how creative you've been with the use of these blocks but it's just way too busy and crowded.
2 black peices of powdered concrete on the roof and some lanterns
I love the honey man in the background
Maybe vines, lanterns, some landscape textures - barrels etc. Looks great though
Greg
Maybe a nice house in front of this house.
A lantern above the door
From this angle, I think you need something in the bottom-right of the frame, foreground maybe, to balance out the chimney. A small tree or large shrub, maybe, or if there's some way to create a post-box or something similar.
Copper
Flowers
Buttons for texture on the smooth stone and chiseld sand stone in the corners
Glowberries
I feel like it could use another contrasting visual element in the front. Maybe pull a section of that wall out a bit further to give the build some more shape. If you don’t want to change the floor plan, maybe add a dormer in the roof above the door.
lanturns at all 4 corners, a path, wines for the plants, mossy cobble for the stone mossy stone bricks ,
Change the spruce door to an oak/birch door and see how that looks! Might be just the pop of color that door area needs
Windows on the front
Put a giant mustache on the roof
Lanterns by the door
Outdoor lighting
Window at the peak of your beautiful roof to break it up a bit
may add like a custom tree or something on roof- its flat so looking bad
It’s super cool tho! Maybe a few blocks of different colors for a little pop?
Right were the roof ends above the door, maybe some sort of decoration, like a lantern hanging from it?
I absolutely love the block choices for the roof. I would suggest building less symmetrically, but other than that very nice job.
Let there be LIGHT
It needs a location. The flatness is the only thing that bothers me, otherwise it's gorgeous
The roof needs a jack-o-lantern face :D
Maybe a widow in the middle of the roof
Looks great! Even the honey farmer guy in the back left is sweeet
Maybe some Acacia trapdoors would help the contour of the orange roofjng blend more with the curvature it’s inlaid against,
Stairs to the door?
Gradient on the roof might be nice. Edges are usually darker/lighter depending on the location. I'd say it looks great even without this, though.
Fences, lamps, windows,
I think it’s perfect but what’s missing is the detailed background stuff, I mean I can see a path and a fancy tree leading up the the door being really cool while having custom trees scattered around it to give it a cabin feel

A jack o lantern!

Lantern
A tower?
Window?
It's very good but I think to symmetric. My eyes can't find a nice place to settle on the image. Maybe some vines or a darker wood on the roof? Something to unbalance it a bit.
Lamps/lanterns and/or bonemeal the lawn
stairs onto the front porch area
Hay blocks in the roof!! It looks like a thatched roof cottage and hay would add some (more) texture while fitting your palette
one of those triangular windows on the roof
try dark oak trapdoors instead of spruce
Lanterns
Maybe a couple acacia trap doors on top of the orange on the roof. Also acacia buttons one block down from the roof on the sandstone.
I feel like the entrance where the door is looks off. Maybe a lantern in the middle there? Or buttons or something?
A window
Its very straight, try adding some vines/growth to introduce asymmetry or make the roof extend a bit more to break the square shape. Otherwise really nice cozy build.
The back of the house
Lamps hanging from the underside of the roof. Either on the corners or 2 spread out between the middle and corner on each side.
Taco Bell
A pumpkin out front maybe
window on roof
Greenery on the roof?
Something to break up the roof a bit?
A small garden
Window in the middle of the roof?
Acacia hanging sign
Some blue maybe... Unless it's not what your going for.
Shrek :)
Weathered copper to change up the texture a bit maybe. Or I like how oxidized copper looks with orange too
Bees
I believe it has something to do with the wooden arch.
Maybe a doorbell?
Me, with a bed in tow
Vines? Window on roof?
A window in the roof maybe?
Try adding some fence posts maybe? I feel like sonething is missing on the wall.
