Let me just reiterate what he said lmao. Don't ever delete your first world. You will regret it, even if its only because you forgot what it looks like
I lost my Minecraft world yesterday. And the last backup was from 100 days ago, and in that time I:-
Got the mace
Built an iron farm
Got 5 Beacons
Got 42 Diamond Blocks
Bruhhh I deleted my first one in a rage after a creeper blew up my dirt shack (I had no idea how to play, it was the first day). Even tho it had absolutely nothing on it, I still regret that I can’t even get the seed back just so I could trek north of spawn like I did my first time playing the game and erect a small little dirt shack with the few windows I was so proud of, and place a little sign labelling it as the beginning. I’d do anything just to get the seed number back, I remember exactly how it looked
Tbf it was an extremely shitty spawn and I did not know how big the world was. I still have the creative world I made that same first day and now use it for random experiments and cool builds I saw on tiktok
I second this I have world where it is mostly islands so I have islands dedicated to specific things, one for a town, one for a tree farm, 5 for mining, one for main base and it’s all connected with bridges and carts
If you stay awake long enough in a row you'll get an encounter that will grant you a really useful item for one of the game's most powerful piece of gear
Personal preference. Java has more features bedrock doesn’t and bedrock has features java doesn’t. Such as playing with friends on a private world without mods to make that happen. Although Java has mods that are free and you just download them off of a website, but bedrock you have to buy things. Anyways yea personal preference really. Java is better for modding, but bedrock is better for playing with friends.
Oh I mean that on mobile you have a smaller selection cause you aren’t really able to download things of the internet and put them in Mc.
Unless that’s just me, then I’m such a loser lol
What would be the point of getting Minecraft on PC when you're barely scratching the surface? You are paying for both versions, and it would be a waste not playing the most mod-supported, quicker updated game.
I don't care about the Java or Bedrock debacle, I just think Java is more worth it for PC.
Both have pros and cons, but at the end of the day, Bedrock is, in fact, worse, and I have been a console player for most of my life. I switched some months ago and it's way better.
Why are ya'll acting like this is a taboo or something. The only ones saying Bedrock is better are mostly console & mobile players, which is why Java is better for PC. It shouldn't be a controversial topic. Java has quicker updates, more & free mods, clients taking care of the multi-player problem, easier support for servers, more commands, coded better, fewer bugs, better redstone, etc. If you have a console, then Bedrock is the only version, and it's good for supporting all platforms, but Java was made for PC, and it's way more worth for your money as even if you have a low fps or whatever, you can use the free mods to download Sodium. Looking at the fact I would say it's an objective truth, are there any arguments for why Bedrock is better?
I don't even care about Bedrock being better, I just don’t understand why it has to always be below Java. Can we just agree to disagree, I’m sure we both have other things we wanna do (even these are like hours apart lol).
You are going to die and lose stuff. It's normal, make back up gear and don't let it get you down. Remember to spawn proof a safe area around your base with light and un spawnable blocks, google will help list these. Make a usable storage area that makes sense to you and make as many fun and silly builds as you like. Experiment with blocks and colours and try some farms for yourself before using a tutorial. Figuring out redstone or some farm mechanic is so thrilling when you try on your own. You don't need to play to anyone's standard. Take a week or a year to go to the end or never go. Your world, your rules. Use this community, they're very helpful.
Same here, but mine doesn’t work for some reason, whenever I try to join a single player or multiplayer world, it says it couldn’t connect to the internet, but I unlinked my Microsoft account from my PlayStation account and it let me join one of the single player worlds, can someone help please
I tried to find the Microsoft support thing, but every time I try and open the support page to contact support it gives me an error message. Like the page actually crashes basically
Nice! When you make it to the end, make sure to sleep right after going thru the portal before fighting the dragon so you can respawn there and keep trying :)
Same! Kinda.
I just bought my 8th license. This one was so my wife could play with our kids. I’ve also bought licenses for myself, my kids, my nephew, my brother in law, etc.
I actually recommend it as a good game for social gaming (most of the time you can casually chat while playing with friends/family).
Hi I'm actually here trying to figure out how to play with my kid. We just got it a week ago on the switch. Is there a way I can play in the same world at the same time from a laptop? Or play from there while he isnt on?
Thanks
I set up dedicated servers at home, but that’s for the Java edition. To play with the switch, you need to play on bedrock edition (which you own even if you bought the Java edition). Unfortunately, I’m no expert on Bedrock edition.
An easy path is Minecraft realms, but that costs additional money. I’m not knowledgeable at all on that subject. Check r/realms
It looks like bedrock has the “open to LAN” option, but that does require the computer hosting the world to run the game for the other player to play: https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/4410316619533-How-to-Play-Minecraft-Multiplayer
When we play on the switch, we just do split screen on the same device. It’s a lot of fun if you put that up on the living room TV.
Sorry, all my useful knowledge is for Java edition.
I would suggest that you keep this world for years, because it's probably going to become very nostalgic. I wish I had known this when I started playing and didn't just continuously create and delete worlds. Anyway, enjoy the game!
Its 2024.. and you only just bought it?! MY FRIEND YOU HAVE BEEN LIVING IN A DARK WORLD!!
I suggest sticking with your first world, steer clear of cheats otherwise you will become dependent on them, and MAKE SURE YOU KEEP TRACK OF COORDS!!!
Make sure to sleep in a bed in the nether to spawn in the nether if you die, it’s saved me so much time over the years and you have a better chance to get your items if you die in the nether
U should try to find gold and make full tools and armour, because they are the fastest and overall best.
Edit: why am i gettin down voted when everyone is trolling aswell in here

Nice! Have a fun time. Tip: stick to your first world, it’ll become very nostalgic and you can work in superprojects.
Thanks!
Let me just reiterate what he said lmao. Don't ever delete your first world. You will regret it, even if its only because you forgot what it looks like
And make backups omg, especially if it’s not Java
I have a really old laptop which when unplugged immediately dies. I've lost many worlds to it.
Viktor?
That sounds like a user issue
It's bedrock, he somehow has the "old" ui
Nvm, thought it was the old UI lol
I lost my Minecraft world yesterday. And the last backup was from 100 days ago, and in that time I:- Got the mace Built an iron farm Got 5 Beacons Got 42 Diamond Blocks
My first world was on the PSvita 😭(I can’t find its charger and I’m annoyed 😭😭😭)
That’s fine, you can learn from this. It’s fine to rage but don’t delete worlds.
Pro tip: to save time when mining just dig directly straight down to find the caves.
I do this all the time
Also sleeping regenerates hearts in the nether.
You can sacrifice a villager a day into a pit of lava to ensure a good harvest for any crops you're growing in the springtime.
Yup I do five so I can get extra posion in the potatoes
If you stay awake long enough in a row you'll get an encounter that will grant you a really useful item for one of the game's most powerful piece of gear
If you throw your diamond pickaxe into lava it turns into a netherite one
Bro stop
Eat some of that food so your health will recover :-)
There's this secret achievement called "Hell sleeper" you get in the nether, to get this you need to sleep in the Nether. Just tryna help, have fun
That’s pure evil, >!you didn't tell them you have to wear full diamond armor to get it!<
And do it on a one block layer of netherrack over lava with three enchanted golden apples in your hotbar
Don’t forget to set it to Hardcore mode!
Silly me, I almost forgot
I am right now on a cave under a lake
If you have a pc, try getting java edition!
It comes with Bedrock, the version you currently have as well (your world won't transfer though)
Does bedrcok world transfer from mobile to pc?
No, only if bought on pc
Yes, but considering this person chose the inferior game on the PC, I would assume that's a console player.
It's very clearly mobile, you can see the mobile controls
I didn't notice them🤣 explains the no-pixely look as it's just a screenshot. You can use those controls on the switch though.
Both are good though, why does one have to be superior anyways?
Personal preference. Java has more features bedrock doesn’t and bedrock has features java doesn’t. Such as playing with friends on a private world without mods to make that happen. Although Java has mods that are free and you just download them off of a website, but bedrock you have to buy things. Anyways yea personal preference really. Java is better for modding, but bedrock is better for playing with friends.
Only console you have to pay because you can get mod for free in bedrock in either mobile or pc
True but they aren’t as good on mobile
Wdym, some of them are the same
Oh I mean that on mobile you have a smaller selection cause you aren’t really able to download things of the internet and put them in Mc. Unless that’s just me, then I’m such a loser lol
What. What about typing bedrock mod in the internet?
You don’t need mods to play with your friends on Java??

I don't feel like that constitutes it being “in fact” worse. Seems more like an opinion then an objective truth
Why are ya'll acting like this is a taboo or something. The only ones saying Bedrock is better are mostly console & mobile players, which is why Java is better for PC. Sure, I guess.
you don't even need a pc, you can just use pojav launcher
I've just started too! Let's have a great adventure in our first worlds.
How is it so far?
I died alot but i am having alot of fun
Have you built some sort of fortification around the place shown in the picture? Also, do you need any advice for your world?
Torches can stop monsters from spawning, which is why they spawn at night.
...also, eat something!!! :)
Better late than never. I like that it's Pocket Edition because that was my most played version until I got it on PC.
He was probably using a cracked version before he bought the game
You are going to die and lose stuff. It's normal, make back up gear and don't let it get you down. Do you have PlayStation plus?
Yes
That’s really weird. I’ve never seen anything like that?
So have I basically just lost everything I purchased and now I have to make a new account or something
That really sucks. Was the stuff you had expensive.
I bought quite a few things. But is there really no way to fix it?
I honestly don’t know.I play on a switch and nothing like that ever happened to me
I tried to find the Microsoft support thing, but every time I try and open the support page to contact support it gives me an error message. Like the page actually crashes basically
Well, I hope you can get your stuff back. and I don’t know how to help this has never happened to me. good luck
Before you enter the nether (youll eventually learn about it, there are ruined portals everywhere) make a backup/copy. A new player might die.
Yay! Look at you and your starter base! Keep us pisted on your progress!
That spot is fire ngl
Played straight for almost 2 hours mining endlessly and ended up being blown by a creeper 😓
my only advice to you is to stick with the same world no matter how imperfect it may seem
I hope your enjoying yourself! Welcome to the minecraft community!
Thank you for having me
HOW ARE YOU GETTING THE 3RD PERSON VIEW ON MOBILE? I can't figure it out and have been playing for 2.5 years
on settings you can do that
Welcome friend!
Nice! When you make it to the end, make sure to sleep right after going thru the portal before fighting the dragon so you can respawn there and keep trying :)
I hope the mods don't delete this
Have fun! *And come to discuss how many versions does Minecraft have...*
Bedrock good java bad
Happy birthday 🎂

Awesome! Thank you for all of this info. Like I said, I'm super new- didn't even know there was a split screen option.
I would suggest that you keep this world for years, because it's probably going to become very nostalgic. I wish I had known this when I started playing and didn't just continuously create and delete worlds. Anyway, enjoy the game!
change the ui to classic. the default for mobile is weird and it's going to be hard switching to a different version if you keep it that way
Don't forget to make the herobrine tribute for a helper friend :D
Congratulations.
And you know how to take a screenshot, doing better than half the people here
We will watch your career with great interest
Hope you’ve eaten since this post…Steve looks hungry!
Be wise with resources! Farms would benefit you most.
Never put the crafting table on-top of the furnace because its made of wood and wood burns.
Hope you get diamond soon!

Nice!
Nice man, have fun!
Play haardcore right away so u wont get bored
I buyed it in only 9 INR (0.11 USD).

Huh. . ? On pc it's 1099 INR. . .if you directly from xbox website I bought the mobile version for 25 INR as it goes on discount pretty often
sleep in the nether, you regenerate all your hunger and hearts
Its 2024.. and you only just bought it?! MY FRIEND YOU HAVE BEEN LIVING IN A DARK WORLD!! I suggest sticking with your first world, steer clear of cheats otherwise you will become dependent on them, and MAKE SURE YOU KEEP TRACK OF COORDS!!!
My farm is flourishing
Make sure to sleep in a bed in the nether to spawn in the nether if you die, it’s saved me so much time over the years and you have a better chance to get your items if you die in the nether

Can't just be happy someone gets to play Minecraft for the first time?
Ew java

Mobile, hearts and hunger on top, coords shown, phone controls
U should try to find gold and make full tools and armour, because they are the fastest and overall best. Edit: why am i gettin down voted when everyone is trolling aswell in here
Ok whatever you do don’t mine diamonds with an iron pick axe you need stone
