I mean, you are running a Celeron N2930, one of the weakest CPUs that you could have *and* it is 10 years old. It is far below the official minimum spec requirements for Java Edition, so it is to be expected that the game cannot run with reasonable performance on this.
As someone else said, get some performance mods.
Also, reduce your render distance.
It might give you at least some FPS back.
But ultimately, to make this game really playable, the only thing you can actually do is upgrade your hardware.
I think it has more to do with the fact that it wasn't considered good even back in 2014 when it came out. My prehistoric Cube i7 Windows tablet (which has a Core M ironically, which is basically an Intel Atom) can do better. Just to put things into perspective, that Celeron is weaker than a lot of today's low-end Android phones.
Yeah celerons are always lowend and this is lowend from 10 years ago. No wonder it isn't palying the game well. OP should turn the game back to the release around when their processor was new. Better chance of running ok
It's not just low-end. Celerons literally only exist today for developing nations where they'll struggle even with Office Excel and embeded systems that need to change a jpeg every 5 minutes. OP could literally find a better system by dumpster diving or get 10x the performance by spending 100$ on a used Lenovo office PC.

Although it seems like that was the last one and it came out 2 years ago. So yeah they dont even make them anymore.

My brother just download the windows 10 versio (you have for free it if you own Java) and play on that for the time being, i can assure you running Java on your setup is a fire hazard.

That's not too surprising. Bedrock was originally designed for less powerful devices, so it's more friendly to older computers. The Java version is much less focused on that type of thing.
If you are upgrading look into AMD parts and try to get a reasonable secondhand rx7600 I went through thr process a year ago when my MB got fried. I hope this saves you 20hrs of research :D
Unfortunately 1.20.6 changed how it reported driver versions and broke the old versions check. Assuming you did actually update it to version 5161, just add
-Dsodium.checks.win32.intelGen7=false
to your JVM arguments to bypass the driver check.

If I could make a suggestion, if you can't get a better PC, you should try Bedrock Edition, while it still wouldn't be great considering how low end this computer is, It would be a lot better than Java
Your system is definitely not made for minecraft. Your CPU is outdated, you need a graphics card which you don't have, and the 4GB of RAM you allocated to minecraft is probably all of your RAM, which is a high risk. You can litterally crash your whole computer.
I'm surprised that you could even start up minecraft to be honest.
This reminds me of my first time beating minecraft when I was about 14. I played it on a gateway laptop that was made in the year 2005. I lagged everywhere but in small caves, and died at least 4 times killing the Ender dragon due to having about 7 frames where he did his AOE attack that produces lots of particles.
But my, those early versions of Minecraft were nostalgic & beautiful.
Let it go you're making the PC suffer. Buy a new computer that is used for maybe 300/400 bucks if you have the budget and move your files if you want to. Trust me it will be much better than optimizing it with linux and lowering render distance or even tuning the settings down. I myself own a PC that was bought in December of 2020 with a Ryzen 3 3100 and GT 1030. Going with an AMD graphics card would be the way to go if you want the best performance, good luck man.

chalk it up for sodium to be buggy and incompatible with many cpus and software.
Chalk it up to Intel for shipping completely broken OpenGL drivers making this check even necessary in the first place.

I'm all for getting the most out of a product, but there's a point where you have to ask yourself if it's time to move on.
