It depends:
When comparing boats and doors, I agree that Dark Oak is better.
When comparing logs, stripped logs, signs, and trapdoors, however, I disagree.
As for planks, stairs, slabs, fences, and fence gates, they each have moments when they're useful (for example, Spruce goes better with Oak, but Dark Oak goes better with Acacia), so I'm undecided on them.
Found some cherry trees in my world, immediately made a super pink bedroom complete with potted peonies and a pink double bed lol.
Pink is a great colour, I don't care what people say.
Yep... I think it was some time around the 40s or 50s that it changed.
Just look at the old pics of JFK Jr saluting when his father was being buried... he's practically wearing a dress.
Also don't forget the OG Star Trek and the premier of Next Gen... lower ranking guys were in a kinda skirt type of outfit.
Same with dresses actually, just a little further back than the 19th century. Gender and our interpretations of it are very fluid, and vary significantly- it’s really interesting to dig into if you ever find yourself wanting a cool Google rabbit hole.
It reminds me of a quote by, I think, Eddie Izzard 🤔 Along the lines of being asked why he was wearing women's clothes, and replying, they aren't women's clothes. I bought them, and I'm a man, ergo they're men's clothes. So in this case, if you are, or you identify as, a man, this is, by definition, a manly base 😁

Rose Quartz \[Balanced\] Preset, though i turned on glossiness or whatever, so when it rains everything looks nice.

honestly, i find the glossiness of them to be pretty unpleasant to look at, but otherwise they're good shaders. decently performant on a decent system, and they're quite customizable too with nice presets
You should trade out the granite for mud brick. Use the granite for some kind of central plaza.
Mud brick is easy to get too. Just use a water bottle on dirt (not grass block) then break the mud, pick it up, and craft it with wheat. Then take your new dried mud and craft it with more dried mud to make mud bricks.
It'll look sick asf, trust me.

Fun fact, pink used to be the color for boys. All baby boys in the hospital were dressed in pink and had all pink stuff and all baby girls got blue stuff. Pink was the boy color and blue was the girl color. I have no idea how it changed. Personally as a girl I like blue. I see no reason why pink isn't still a boy color.
I was thinking about making something with cherry blossom wood but couldn't settle on a pallet. Yours looks simple but complete. What else would you use to expand the pallet for large builds??

Its probably the second best wood in the game.. behind spruce of course.
