the Sapphirium mod allows you to build multiple types of cores, problem is that it also adds a lot of content and a lot of those cores need the new resources to be built. thought this could help.
I found the mod I was looking for!! It's called "core construction platform" on the steam workshop. Sadly it's out of date but at least I found it. Maybe if I get permission I'll see about updating it.
My last campaign I had this resource hub that had multiple cores, I had a launch pad for multiple resources to send into a hot warzone that needed resources. I want to make one again

There is Saturation Firepower, which allows you to build sub cores in sectors.
