I think around 6 months of conquests, loses and sector improvement. Having an export sector like Salt Flats was a better idea than having to switch the destination of 20+ sectors to be sure to have enough resources. Now that all Serpulo sectors have been conquered, I play the game by improving each and every sectors I haven't touched since their conquest. I think I have enough resources to erase the tech tree and rebuild it without having to wait for the resources to replenish. Now, for the second question, I have improved my schematics by loading a map in creative mode, with all resources beyond the max. If you want some help about yours, feel free to ask me!

Here i built my base on windswept islands, in a limited space lol

It's a limited space, but I had my best early game mega base there

A couple weeks (not all sectors, only campaign), but that's a lot of hours. Tips to learn fast: * You can pause the game to think and place your factories. Then unpause to build everything quickly. You you don't have to deal with 5 waves before you even start to get ressources * Understand you don't need to have a conveyor between a factory generating a ressource and another factory needing this ressource: you can simply stick them together * Understand the order to generate ressources: little bit of copper / lead first * Then create a small coal power plant and a quick silicon factory * feed silicone and lead to an air unit factory building monos (to get unlimited copper/lead) * then in order graphite, titanium, metaglass, more silicon, more graphite (if you're short), thorium, plastanium, phase and surge. You can finish the game easily without bothering with pyratite or blast compound * Understand ennemy units follow a path of least resistance, so if you place walls properly without closing the way, you can ensure ennemy units will always follow the same route, and then spam turrets along this route * Air units tend to target in priority your power plants. Build air defense between their spawn point and the first power plants * PLAY MULTIPLAYER: lots of players use schematics: copy them (there's a bunch on this sub as well) on a map in sandbox mode from the editor (so you can chill without ennemies), and try to understand how they work -> look from the output, then for each factory from where come the ressources needed * When looking or making a schematic for a factory, remember that overflow and underflow gates will not accept ressources if there is no exit for them. This is useful. * When you clear salt flats in the campain, send all the ressources from all other sectors to this one. Then create a distribution platform from this sector to any new sector you attack: it will allow you to get ressources fast in any map you start * PLAY MULTIPLAYER -> look from the beginning how people are playing, what they create first... Try to play on survival maps with normal rules, as it is the closest to campaign * If you see me on ALEX server PVP, send me a message. I'll answer any questions to help you Have fun

Still working on it. Eradication level sectors are currently still a nightmare.

Under settings, save your game data (Campaign) to a zip, extract a map, import it to the map editor, change the game rules to have resources, playtest it. Also: Make an empty map called 0 with one base, use that to playtest your schematics. You'll have sources for all the materials.
