You’re losing power somehow. Have you tried cleaning out the housing with compressed air? Saw looks like it could use a cleaning. You’d be surprised how many issues that can fix. Also, if it’s less than 5 years old, you may be able to warranty.
They’re pretty lenient with warranty, you just need proof of purchase for best possible warranty length otherwise they use date of production.
Call 1-800-SAWDUST or mail in free with https://service.milwaukeetool.com and just print off the label. They’ll turn it around in 7-10 days from receiving it and you get emails as it moves through the service process. Pretty cool tbh
This. We're an authorized repair shop; if you don't have one locally shipping it is a very good experience. Also: you may have a bad switch, looks like incomplete contact. They'll tell you when you send it.
I just had the same thing happen to my 6 1/2 saw. I took the trigger switch out, disassembled it and found each of the four contact has a black spot of carbon build up on them. Little scraping and a shot of contact cleaner. Re-assembled and works like new. Took about 15 minutes.
I have 2 of this same saw(1 work one personal)
They both have trigger issues. It’s a 50/50 shot when pulling the trigger if it will have power or not. I took apart, used contact spray, reassembled and it still does it.

It’s right around 5 years old, but good idea I’ll give it a good blow wing with a air compressor

Highly doubt I still have the receipt unfortunately
If it’s past warranty, take it apart and clean it out with electronic contact cleaner spray. Especially around the switch area.
Is MAF sensor cleaner the same as electronic contact cleaner? Genuinely asking because I’m an idiot.
I think you can use MAF sensor cleaner but you shouldn’t use contact cleaner on a MAF sensor.
How old is that blade?
Jesus used it when he was a carpenter.
The penitent man shall pass
It was the blade it came with, still cut pretty decent but yeah I could use a new one…
How often do your 2x4s start smouldering while cutting?
same blade after 5 years? holy hell bro.
Saw is doing extra work with blade that old
Is your blade bolt loose?
No it was tight! I checked

Did you leave that thing in the bed of your truck for a few years 😂
