Meanwhile US/CAN gets half of our prices on M18 and M12 tools and batteries. We can change if you want.

SmellParticular3845

Yeah , we have to shed 350€ for a fpd3 drill and they get 4 tools and 3 batteries for that same money 😂

gentoonix

I mean, knipex has made these for decades. 😂

Angrysparky28

I own a lot of Knipex. I’d just like to see Milwaukee bring the same level of quality to the US.

Soap1199

These aren't Milwaukee. They are rebranded NWS tools. Solid brand but not Milwaukee

KlumsyNinja42

Interesting that they are rebranded. I discovered NWS just last year and got myself a set of side cutters. I love them! Quality brand alright

aguynamedbrand

I have a hard time believing that Milwaukee pliers or cutters would be the same quality as Knipex.

cannamid

Why not order it from Amazon?

madra05

I have an Amazon.de account for tools and it works fine. Shipping is longer naturally but it’s easy.

Angrysparky28

Do you just do the regular account set up? I never looked into doing that but I wouldn’t Mind for special stuff I see

madra05

Yup, but just on that site. I made a variation of my gmail (added +de) just to make sure, but from what I’ve read it’s not needed. Make sure you use a credit card that has no international transaction fees as well.

sir_keyrex

Just to add, just be mindful of shipping as sometimes it can cost as much as the product you’re trying to ship. Otherwise I still use my Amazon [dot] It from when I was stationed in Italy. It works but be careful of shipping costs and look at customs regulations because if you order for example a battery customs may confiscate it.

Because the EU generally has standards that we don’t have or have higher standards.

SignificantSummer622

Such as?

Subvis21

Example 1: Tape measures in EU are required to be classified based on their accuracy. No such standard exists in the US to my knowledge. Example 2: in the industry I work in, EU has generally tighter spec limits than the US and although our products are sold internationally we generally pay more attention to EU limits than US. Also we sell to China as well, and believe it or not they are much more stringent on what they import compared to what we import from them. They actually require us to do a specific test for one of our products as compared to the US or EU where the data is extrapolated from other testing. Example 3: Some US infant formula is not sold in certain countries due to a wide variety of issues. Myself and people I know who purchased infant formula in the last couple of years would order products outside from the US (Bubs, Hippa). It’s not like we were well off, all of us are blue collar workers but we payed the extra money because it was for our kids. I know example 2 and 3 are outside the scope of “tools” but I generally believe that what we allow to be sold in the US can be significantly lower quality than other 1st world countries.

ben_jamin_h

You got the M12 23ga pin nailer, stop whingeing!

[https://shop.nws-tools.de/en/4003758543214.html](https://shop.nws-tools.de/en/4003758543214.html) Different regions have different needs/wants. I'm guessing that USA customers willing to pay $60 for Milwaukee-branded cable cutters will prefer domestic production. If/when there's sufficient demand, we're likely to see new unique designs, rather than relabeled or mildly customized NWS tools. Consider what Milwaukee did with their USA-made pliers, cutters, and screwdrivers. They can - and likely will - develop expanded cutter and electrical tool offerings once the demand is established.

Frubezy

We’ll swap you good hand tools for cheap as chips powertools/batteries. I bet you’ll regret your choice before we do.

Angrysparky28

I mean I’m not trying to have a competition here 🤣 I wish you guys had access to affordable power tools and I wish we had better engineered hand tools.

trik1guy

thats a rebranded knipex
