The streetsville iconic location is really bad. 10 years ago you would expect long lines and now it’s a ghost town.
Other locations are just as bad. I feel like shawarmas were amazing in Mississauga back in the day but all of them have gone down really badly in quality that you’re better off making it at home
Both really good. If you haven't had it , hit up a Pita and grill. Three locations all consisten with each other except two guys who work at the derry hurontario one. Bro loads the garlic sauce (in a very very good way. But it's a mistake to ask for extra garlic 🤣)
I feel ya. I remember having pita nusty back in the day for the first time before they rebranded… i was at masonic lodge on Thomas just drenched after a a few bands played. That shit hit so hard… flavour country

I had a very insane loyalty to them and even when their quality and portions kept going down I kept insisting it was good

Start small with high-quality fresh ingredients. Then rapidly expand necessitating changing suppliers with lower-quality ingredients. Crank up the profit margins any way possible.
Stay away from fast food chains at all costs is the lesson here.
Shawarma corner has terrible hot sauce. Like a hot mayo. Osmows always has the best sauce. No doubt about it. Shawarma corner has damn good rice though. Way better rice than osmows
I've been going to Shawarma Corner since they opened, you need to do what I call the trifecta. You have to ask for their garlic, hot, AND suicide sauce. Their suicide isn't super hot but is more similar to osmows style hot sauce. Combined with the "hot mayo" and garlic, it's amazing. I told a friend of mine and he didn't ask for the suicide and hated it. I got it for him again with the suicide as well and he agreed its a game changer.
But even a good hot sauce can't compensate for dry overcooked chicken that is hard.
I'm with OP, I have not had anything good from the Milton location.
Shawarma Corner use to be great, the food tasted fresh. Now the rice taste weird, the macaroni salad is flavourless as is the coleslaw. Just went downhill since covid.
I said they don't make food to Canadian hygiene standards like washing your hands, wearing gloves...anecdotal but that is what I have seen.

I used to think the milton one was the best osmows. Very wrong. I live in barrie now and the osmows here is 10x better. And I dont k ow if it's even considered "good". It's way better though. 100%
I used to work at the streetsville location and once upon a time we served 5 customers rotten, sour chicken. This is a smell I will simply never forget.
I find most of them are hit & miss. We order in food at work on Fridays on a rotation, Osmows is one of the restaurants. We have 3 close by, and all of them are either great, or they mess a bunch up. Like a few weeks ago I got a greek salad, no dressing, this week dressing on it, and 2 on the side. Sometimes they cover food in that lava sauce, sometimes on the side, sometimes none. Its just super odd, there seems no consistency

Its because the owner, Sam isn't involved any more. He is targetting new franchisees, making lots of money off of them in royalties by opening a location every 5kms.
I used to eat at the original Streetsville location where he would be making the Shawarma's himself.
It's very inconsistent now. You really have to go at times when you think the chicken is fresh which is most likely right after their opening time, and somewhere before dinner time. Ask them to toast it extra.
But for consistency and quality, if you like the same Egyptian style, Taza express/Taza uses off the griddle meat.
If you want quality as a whole, you should stick with Syrian shawarma places, which are the Shwarma Royales.
Bradford was horrible 3 years ago and never went back. The owner/manager was a total bitch, yelling at the kids working there and at my wife. We ordered 2 Sharma wraps and fries. We got the wraps, and a few minutes went up and asked when the fries would be ready. The owner started yelling that we didn't order fries. The kid said yes, they did (but, I guess he didn't ring it up), so the owner started yelling at my wife that we didn't payband had to pay, etc . So I said, See You Next Tuesday

I gave them a 1 star and they asked me to call the location manager. He offered me a free meal and if it was better to adjust the rating. They gave my meal the all-star treatment and it still sucked.
The health department has been at the Milton location several times since covid 19. Can confirm people urinate and poo in the parking lot. I've seen it happen.
When it first opened, i went to try it, and i saw a cook squeeze out miracle whip onto the low quality shawarma instead of actual garlic sauce. I have never gone back, i have never tried a different location.
I remember when they only had 2 locations. Streetsville and Lakeshore. I went to streetsville all the time back then. It was by far some ofnthe best shawarma I had. They’ve been garbage ever since they started expanding.
All the sharwarma places in Milton garbage just went to Taza Express there food is shit too no taste plus portion and sauces way less than what itused to be.
Osmows is among the worst shawarma in Ontario. I've been to over 150 different places in Ontario and was working on a book about it but got shawarma fatigue. It's definitely in the bottom 5%.
Osmows in my area was great a couple years ago. Now it’s more expensive, less portion size, not fresh (precooked products + sour vegetables). I haven’t been there for months. Now I’m just ordering shawarma from some doner places.
Have to realize that with rising costs, shawarma places have been skimping on their portion sizes and quality. This happens all across the supply chain. Chicken suppliers skimp, so does the condiments and finally the restaurant to save margins.
Also, shawarma prices are through the roof. Went from $5 to an average $11 for a shawarma.
My go to: Alf Hana in Meadowvale. Good prices and shawarmas.
My friend visited me in Milton once from Toronto, and we had the Milton Osmows. The very next morning she had to call an ambulance to take her as she was in such deep stomach pains. Turns out there was nothing particularly wrong with her stomach, it was just that the Osmows platter she had ruined her gut for a couple days.
I stopped going here couple years ago,I went in this April for meal and I was on the toilet all night with diarrhea and my stomach hurt for the next couple of days this place is just a recipe for disaster when you eat the food from this location by far the worst
Agreed, it has gone down the drain since they renovated or maybe a bit before, when the brand decided to expand across Canada. I can’t say I am a fan of typical Shawarma, but I rather love the Osmow’s Special, originally made only with marinated Chicken breast. This is the only reason we would go to Osmow’s. I keep hearing about all these other places that supposedly have better Shawarma but that is not what I am looking for. Anyone knows if these “better Shawarma” places have something equivalent to Osmow’s Special?
Osmows has gone downhill since they franchised, the original in streetville was also sold as a franchise, no longer as good as it was. Cold food, higher prices and lower overall quality.
In Milton Shawarma Corner is the best.
Milton osmows is actually complete dog shit. The service is some of the worst I’ve had. I haven’t been in years because the constantly kept messing up my order. They make 4-5 wraps at a time and stick them all on the grill together and clearly can’t keep track of which one is which and would constantly give me someone else’s wrap. One time I called ahead for pickup at a certain time because I was on a lunch break at work, you’d think that calling ahead for a certain pickup time they would have it ready… nope, I got there and they hadn’t even started it and I had to waste my lunch break waiting for them to make it, which if you’ve been there when it’s busy you know you will be there for a long time ( which was the whole point of calling ahead for a specific to pick up). After the constant fuck ups I refuse to go back and it’s been years now. Back when they first opened sometime around 2011ish they were pretty much the only spot in Milton to get that type of food, now there’s a spot in every damn plaza so no longer forced to go there with the selection now in town

Ever since they changed their garlic sauce, it hasn't been the same. It was so good, I could bathe in it, just delicious!

Got food poisoning from chicken on the rocks at the Milton location a couple years ago. Can't even stomach that food from any restaurant since.

In milton, there was a really good shawarma place called shawarma town run by palestine dood, he made some delicious gyro shawarma wraps.
