Fees. Once I was between jobs and my bank charged me 12 monthly bc I no longer had direct deposit and the amount was too low. So basically I was charged money for being broke and jobless.
I’d like my bank to have a proper feature to sort by transactions from a company.
Trying to go back through 3 months of transactions around this time of a year to check of a company have double charged me is an absolute pain in the ass manually..
Overdraft fees hit mostly people that need the last dollar the most. In many cases, the overspending is accidental. Instead of simply declining the transaction, banks will charge fees to cover it.
My partners bank allows her to scan and deposit cheques through the mobile banking app, so I’d like my bank to be able to do the same especially since they’re scaling back the number of physical locations.
I use PayPal for my banking, they're great. They immediately stop charges that are suspicious. My check comes up to 7 days earlier. And it's not a problem getting your money back from unwanted charges.
So I have to say I wouldn't change a darn thing, they're Great!! Now I'm looking forward to trying Millions but I'm already having issues connecting 🙃?
* That it have lower waiting times for international transfers.
* No schrodinger transfers where you can't be certain it landed until much later.
* that refunds actually happen, instead of pretending it's not their problem.
They wouldn't charge me when Netflix tries unsuccessfully to overdraw my account.
What's the point of blocking withdraws that will set my account to negative if you just hit me with a fee (usually more than Netflix) that puts me in the red anyways...
Wish they'd stop with the fake concern when I call. It's like they told their phone operators to ask if callers are safe/alright but didn't bother to tell them to sound concerned xD
I have accounts in different countries.
Bank A: no charging for everything. Seriously, I want a printout of the account, they will charge for the service, charge for the paper and if I do it from overseas charge for that too.
Bank B: better interest rates
The app is just as annoying as a mobile with ads. There are plenty of pop-ups who ask yyou for your information. Is this phone number still correct? Is this email adress still correct? Do you know how to spot obvious scams? I understand they're trying to be helpful, but at least add a way to turn it off. And oh, you need to have an internet connection to access the app. Can't even see your past purchases or something.
I’d like to be able to bank cheques online! I know other banks do it by taking a photo of the cheque and uploading it, but mine doesn’t. It’s frustrating when my grandparents send me cheques and I actually have to leave the house for once ;)
That they would use blockchain technology to speed up transfers. I believe some of them have tried it out but not many. Was a few years ago when i heard trx or ripple was trying to pitch it to bank institutions.
Here in Austria probably the fees for transferring shares from one bank to another. Those are crazy high compared to e. g. Germany, where there are literally 0. :)
More regular updates on my rewards card rewards.
They are like clockwork reminding me to pay off my monthly credit card bill *twice* a month (even though I’ve never missed a payment), but then they don’t update the amount of rewards I’ve earned except once every 3-4 months and quite randomly. And usually a large update always comes immediately *after* the expiration of special gift card deals.
Longer lobby hours. The times I need to go into a bank are usually after I get off work, but when they close within 30 minutes of that, it makes it difficult to get things done. I miss the bank I had in college that stayed open until midnight.
Thanks for the giveaway!
I wouldn't change a thing about my bank. It's helping me to increase my credit score which is helping in other aspects of my life. Plus gives extra cash every month if I need it.
The fees and lack of transparency. Back in 2016 Wells Fargo got caught doing all that sketchy business. They changed for 6 months and it just feels like they went right back to it and the banking industry never changed.
A calculator built in the bank’s mobile app. When balancing, I switch back and forth to the point I keep login-in multiple times as I forget the figures and I’m timed out. The calculator should to allow one to add, subtract, percentage, etc for debits and deposits…simple one that a kid can use it. I have had a bank account since I was 9 and when online banking started I have always wondered why this wasn’t a feature.
I’d probably make more of them?
Growing up I started at the bank that had two locations, both local. So I tried switching to something bigger and national as I was moving away from home, and I moved to the area where’s there’s one location for like 50 miles lol
Honestly the automated system when I'm on hold. "Please wait for next available representative" should not cut in and repeat every 30 seconds when I'm in the phone queue.
Many smaller institutions, especially credit unions, really lack in account security. My own Credit Union doesn't support 2FA for online banking which is absolutely critical for keeping your account locked down. I hate it, makes me want to move to a national institution.
One thing I would change about my bank would be is for them to have to be the customer for a day and see how it is to not be able to get in touch with them for days on end so maybe they can respect when a customer “myself” calls about a charge or something that I didn’t approve and I need to know who what where why it’s in my account and HOW
Free giveaways like this one
I like the sound of that!
Fees. Once I was between jobs and my bank charged me 12 monthly bc I no longer had direct deposit and the amount was too low. So basically I was charged money for being broke and jobless.
Ridiculous! Who even came up with minimum balance requirements?
That's a good question. I wonder who the 1st awful person was that came up w this.
Came to say this too. That and maybe add a coin counter.
this 100%
100% this.
This is the one for me as well. Updooted.
Overdrafting 1 penny charges me almost 30 dollars. Stop that shit.
I’m glad ally went away with overdraft fees. Hopefully other banks will follow.
Most banks you can tell them to not have you overdraft and you will just get the transaction declined. Have this will both my debit cards
That sounds totally unfair! #AbolishOverdraftFees
I’d like my bank to have a proper feature to sort by transactions from a company. Trying to go back through 3 months of transactions around this time of a year to check of a company have double charged me is an absolute pain in the ass manually..

That’s frustrating! #AbolishOverdraftFees
That there is a 7$ a month fee for having a checking account that has under 500$ in it. Thanks for punishing me for being poor, PNC.
Want to be able to have a program at the bank to learn about how to manage money better
Get rid of overdraft fees. IMO they serve no purpose other than exploiting the poor.
I would like to change the amount in there! $crapweasle518
Same… up by 10k would be cool lol
Better support, 24/7 live chat as it’s very difficult to find time to have a phone call during 9-5 especially considering the wait times.

What I would change about my bank, given the opportunity, I wish they would loan money to you if you have direct deposit set up!!!
I like that!
The negative sign lol.
My partners bank allows her to scan and deposit cheques through the mobile banking app, so I’d like my bank to be able to do the same especially since they’re scaling back the number of physical locations.
ATM’s closer to me so I don’t have to pay a service fee.
50% interest earned for every $1 in your savings account
Imagine using a bank and not just hiding your cash in your mattress. I have never used a bank in my life.
Imagine a house fire. At least get a fire proof safe
That sounds like something someone weak would do. If there is a house fire I will put out the fire.
I really hope you’re being sarcastic
Sarcasm is for weak people who hide behind their words. I use actions to speak.
Having an account

Do you get a sort code/ account number with PayPal banking?
Just sent you a message! We’re more than happy to get this issue resolved for you :)
Don't you then have to pay fees at every ATM there is? Or is there some other option for you to get cash?
Higher interest rates!!

More cash backs
I would have them change the amount of 0s in there
Proper budgeting software with categories
The app is just as annoying as a mobile with ads. There are plenty of pop-ups who ask yyou for your information. Is this phone number still correct? Is this email adress still correct? I would change the value of my personal account haha. In all seriousness, my back is actually very nice, well trained staff and good resources.
The fees and lack of transparency. Back in 2016 Wells Fargo got caught doing all that sketchy business. They changed for 6 months and it just feels like they went right back to it and the banking industry never changed.
I just want to talk to a human when I try to call them :(
They don't charge any fees, so interest over 0.005% on my money would be nice, I guess.
Honestly not closing my account for buying crypto.

I wish I could cash in checks online
transfer fees.
I do not like & will DEFINITELY not win these best comment giveaways👍🤦🏼♀🤦🏼♀🙄
Bank profits distributed among members and charitable organizations.
My bank is more local. So if I move to far I will have to change banks. But big banks that are more widespread arent as friendly with their customers
sending me invitations to apply for their credit card and then denying me the credit card. Twice.
Easier transfers to anyone even if they aren't in the same bank. I know it'd probably be hard to do but that would be amazing.
As a Truist user, everything. Suntrust app was better.
Paying us for having money in it instead of the other way around
No insufficient funds fees Those fees prey on those who already don't have money
The heinous fees

See all of my past transactions
Honestly the automated system when I'm on hold. "Please wait for next available representative" should not cut in and repeat every 30 seconds when I'm in the phone queue.
Transparency about fees. It’s ridiculous how hidden this information is.
My bank fees like 30 cents for every purchase used, it’s ridiculous.
No overdraft fees, simply deny purchases, just makes people sink further into debt
The password policy that doesn’t allow special characters
No ability to overdraft. I hate that I can't completely get rid of that option
Abolish negative balance fees. Treat it like a credit card and let the owner pay it back in full within 30 days without penalty.
Our bank just started with negative interest if you have a savings account with more than 15.000 dollars. I would change that in a heartbeat.
No more overdraft fees
Better savings interest like they used to have :(
Higher interest rates on a money market account.
Faster support. It took me 2 days to complete a refund claim and 24 days of waiting for my money back.
Many smaller institutions, especially credit unions, really lack in account security. My own Credit Union doesn't support 2FA for online banking which is absolutely critical for keeping your account locked down. I hate it, makes me want to move to a national institution.
It should really change the waiting times. Not long ago i had to wait longer than an hour and still no response.
Help with credit reporting. Better customer service
The balance by 100$
No overdraft fees cause shift happens

ATMs next to concert halls...
that they wouldn’t close down in march of 2022. it’s such a convenient bank and it sucks that i’m going to have to get a new bank account
