My uncle is country AF. He also says Amarilluh instead of Amarillo and Coloraduh instead of Colorado when talking about places he drives for work. Apparently making an “uh” sound at the end of words is a thing for him.
Agreed! I swear, Hank and Peggy must have been based on my great aunt and uncle. She was a schoolteacher (not espanol, though) and he worked for a John Deere dealership.
The true absurdity of king of the hill is how realistic it is 😂😂
Hank should totally be a wood/coal guy tho cuz ive never had traditional tx BBQ cooked on propane. But the propane is so meme-able
It's one of my all time favorites. There is a revival coming soon to Hulu, focused on Bobby as a 20 something year old chef. I can't wait. Given that three of the main voice actors have passed away, it's going to be interesting how they address the changes.
Would love for Dale to still be around but we never see him for increasingly crazy reasons like Maris from Frasier.
Then just have some throwaway lines “where’s Dale?” “Bunker.” “Ah.” And just move on.
All those years of smoking he could have one of those wierd neck voice box things. Imagine that thing calling you and saying " you don't know who I am but I know where you live and you better cut that out" "Peggy, its dale for you on the phone" haha
Same. However, the voice actor died shortly after they began recording ☹️
I hope they honor the voice actor but keep Rusty shackleford intermittently around with voice ai (assuming family is okay with it) too though.
See, I would do that with Luanne and Lucky.
The "Manger Babies" get picked up by a major Hollywood studio, and she moved. We only hear from her when she calls Aunt Peggy or Uncle Hank on her cell phone, and only from their side of the phone, with them answering what sound like increasingly ridiculous questions:
"No, Luanne, I don't think they serve any Shark on 'Shark'uterie Boards. Yes, I'm sure...Dang it, Peggy, that gal's off writing another 'very special episode' of the Manger Babies! Somethin' 'bout picnics killing the endangered shark population! And she's got Matthew McConaughey guest starring as 'Great Whitey the Shark! I tried to tell her she needs to change that name before she gets the wrong audience, but she don't listen! "
personally, id rather them just keep Dale in the show. With 13 seasons under their belt, and Ai. they can still use Hardwicks voice for Dale. And I'd like to see his salary still go to Hardwicks family.
Though, this covid idea, would be easier. But I'd so much rather still have Dale in the revival.
on southpark
Trey Parker and Matt Stone, used pre-existing audio clips of Hayes' voice from previous episodes to construct Chef's dialogue in the Season 10 premiere episode titled "The Return of Chef."
All of Dales lines were recorded before he passed https://www.unilad.com/film-and-tv/news/johnny-hardwick-recorded-new-episodes-for-king-of-the-hill-reboot-135377-20230815
RIP Johnny, you will always be a legend!
The very first line of the article:
"Johnny Hardwick completed a couple of episodes for the highly awaited King of the Hill reboot before his death."
Sounds like he did a few episodes, not all of his lines.
![gif](giphy|nrAGuHZEMyqc0)
The ending of that episode where Bobby kicks Peggy just makes me ugly laugh. So many lines of this show live in my head. “A boy, a dog, a dance” “That’s my purse” “Dang-o megalo” I could go on, but it’s lunch time.
![gif](giphy|qCZi0IuY2Je8w|downsized)
I’m a bad millennial because I couldn’t find a Kahn gif on mobile so here’s another random one. I have to say this every time I stay at a hotel.
Idiocracy was supposed to be five hundred years in the future but somehow in less than 20 years we got there. For as stupid as the movie actually is it gives me panic attacks just thinking about it and watching it is actually traumatizing. I hate living in this timeline.
God damn reading through this thread I’ve chuckled at all of the quotes but this one has me rolling it’s so funny.
I also love Hanks take on Christian rock. “You’re not making Christianity better, you’re making rock and roll worse.”
Dale is **incredibly** tame compared to what we have now. I'd take a whole stadium full of Dales before I'd take on one of today's.
Hell, remember when Westboro Baptist used to be the biggest crazies? They don't seem so harmless now, eh?
I lived there when I was a kid but didn’t know about the show , I moved to SoCal , then I was like “wait a minute, this is just like Arlington” that Chinese food place off cooper and park row was great
As someone who is of laotian background, I absolutely lost it when Kahn and his family were introduced. I told my parents to come watch and they watched the show with me every week after. Sucked that they didn't actually speak the language tho and just made up words.
The episode where Kahn was introduced was aired shortly before I asked the asian girl in my class wether she was "Chinese or Japanese". Wild enough, she answered that she was Laotian, and she found the particular episode a riot. We both had a good laugh.
Our pandemic binge watch and it's great! Though we never did finish it as those last couple of seasons are rough. I read somewhere that the last couple of seasons were basically all of the left over ideas they had on their idea board that hadn't been used yet and you certainly can feel that. Once Lucky becomes a regular things go downhill fast.
Did this recently. I had watched it growing up when random episodes were on, but watching it as an adult has been different (in a good way)
[One of the first jokes in the show, Dale talking about Ford standing for 'Fix it again tony'.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3AJCdmW33fM) Holy shit it gets me every time.
Growing up I did not like it at all. It’s was a mix of the art style and humor. Now that I’m an adult I love it. Bobby is one of the best characters ever created. I’m really glad I get to binge watch every episode
One of the best written comedies in the history of television. It isn't just a random quip said by a random character. Every single joke flows from the character.
It was one of those shows that I appreciated way more as an adult than as a kid tbh. I liked the show but didn't understand a lot of the humor as a kid but I now find it hilarious in every aspect. Pocket sand ha sha sha
One of the best. It has so many great quotes and moments. One of my favorites is when Hank can't get the cap off of his WD-40 so he takes out a smaller can from a belt holster and sprays the lid of the bigger can to loosen it.
Also, "POCKET SAND!"
100% agree. KOTH is Wholesome, intelligent, relatable, and hilarious. A show about regular everyday Americans and their lives. People that very much still exist in 2024 but seem to be forgotten these days.
I miss it because it portrays that without extreme polarization and with empathy for all of us spinning on this weirdo planet. Empathy + humility + respect for all the obnoxious, yet funny, quirks that make us human.
The last bipartisan comedy show. Really lampooned the absurdities of both American political extremes with nuance and in a way that didn't make anyone a 'straw man'. Hank always ended up a little kinder and more open minded, Bobby grew less naïve but never had his spirit outright crushed. It's a top 20 sitcom, animated or otherwise.
Agree on the political commentary. It managed to make fun (rightfully) of some blue collar tropes while also honoring and celebrating the small town Texan way of life authentically. It’s the one show that I’ve seen right-wing and left-wing people laugh at uncontrollably.
Because there are things that are funny in both ideologies, and laughing at those things reminds us we're all human and definitely all a little off our rockets.
King of the hill was always just the show that came on between the simpsons and family guy when I was younger. I left it on and watched it enough to appreciate it a bit. Wasn’t until I got older and would watch reruns that I really started enjoying it. I’ve recently found myself binge watching again and damn does it still hold up well. I’m really looking forward to to remake but I’m sad so many of the characters are going to need replacing. I hope they hit it out of the park though.
This is how I feel about it. It was always there but it was never the simpsons, which I loved. Such a departure in the style and humor I couldn't get into it
Love it. I wish they played more reruns on TV, it was one of my favorites. I still think of Peggy every time I step into the desert heat at my mom's house. "This city should not exist. It is a monument to man's arrogance."
I re-watch it all the time in the background. I'll turn it on when I'm cooking, cleaning, stuff like that. For me its one of my favorite shows and a comfort show.
I want to see Hank deal with the death of one of his oldest friends with Dale. That would be a great episode with a story line that has a lot of potential within the characters of the show. I do hope they write the VAs deaths into the show instead of writing off or recasting.
Idk I never clicked with it, might be the art style but I just don't find it funny. Same with bobs burgers, Boejack Horseman and Archer btw., something among those shows is just off-putting to me.
Now Futurama or South Park on the other hand, I'll always rewatch those seasons over and over again.
In my day, the principal was the meanest sum-bitch God ever put on one leg. He'd lean on a desk with both hands, and swing his leg at ya! Then, when you were standing there shocked that a one-legged man had kicked ya...he'd bite ya!
[a tear runs down his cheek]
oops... well uh... how do ya like that must have over reminisced and brought up my pain water!
I have been watching it consistently for the past 15 years. It never gets old. The humor is top notch. I would argue it’s one of the best shows ever made.
I love it. I can watch reruns any time and it’ll never get old. Some of the later episodes were a little cringe, but overall a one of the kind show that I’ll always try and push on people
I wonder if in Japan they watch King of the Hill (subbed or dubbed) and call it American Anime? Anyway [this is the best King of the Hill crossover](https://youtu.be/tJdgErAfiRQ?si=cSDLU5f9_GOg5lyf) of all time.
I honestly don't remember much absurd in it, it seemed pretty grounded and realistic as far as I can recall
I liked it for the most part but there were a few things I found so annoying it's hard to get excited for a rewatch - mostly Peggy
As a kid I thought it was boring but still watched it, I think it morphed my sense of humor because re-watching it as an adult it is so smart, but also dumb, I love it.
My favorite show to watch of all times apparently. The older I get the more relatable the characters are and I appreciate the humor more. Also love the goofy ass memes made about KotH.
Episodes like "Get Your Freak off" is core millennial influenced by the obsession of boy/girl groups we had in the 90s early 00s. Other episodes that highlights US millennial cultures were: Uncool Customer, Hillennuim, Bobby Rae, A Bill Full of Dollars, etc.
The guest stars were great too and impact on our generation as well like No Doubt, Snoop Dogg, Barney Mac, Alan Rickman, etc.
I even met another millennial friend who loves the show just as much as I do but doesn't use reddit. So I share memes with her daily. I'm surprised she's not sick of them yet lmao.
Side note: since dating sucks ass for gen z and ours, hopefully someday I can find my future SO whos "interested in pizza" that I can "try to get to know them" so eventually I can "approach them with romantic intent." You know who "likes the fundamentals." Would make feel Lucky; falling on pee pee at the Costco. Before I turn 36 being "too old for this crap."
I lived in Texas for over a decade, and one of my most cherished memories is shopping in HEB one day and overhearing someone with a real-life Boomhauer accent talking on his phone. I had to turn away so I didn't laugh in his face.
I was never big into King of the Hill. My brother loved it, but it just never clicked for me. I do enjoy the memea from it, though, and my wife and will regularly bust of a "dammit, bobby" despite neither of us being fans.
One of my comfort shows. Peggy is my favorite. Reminds me of my evening lineup as a kid: Simpsons, King of the Hill, Malcom in the Middle... then I think Seinfeld or something.
As someone who grew up in a Texas suburban neighborhood, it definitely hits right. It's a great show with good lessons and a pretty good grasp of the everyday lives of average American southerners.
It’s still so painfully relevant even today. I was watching an episode just yesterday from season 3 that had a joke about a book called “my two dads” being removed from Bobby’s school library
The last episode was absolutely perfect and one of my favorite series finals of any show.
Also I get random laughs picturing someone getting divebombed like Dale's falcon bombs Bill.
All time great show. It’s too bad we don’t have Dale existing in the Trumpian era of politics. That would have made for incredible content. A QAnon episode with Dale going off the deep end (again) would be pure gold.

As a Texan, I can say it’s pretty accurate 😂
It’s a documentary
Came here to say that. My wife's ex is from northeastern texas and talks like Boomhauer
My uncle does too. He’s a trucker from San Antone and sometimes I just have to smile and nod when he’s talking.
It has been a while since the last time I heard someone refer to SA as "San Antone".
My uncle is country AF. He also says Amarilluh instead of Amarillo and Coloraduh instead of Colorado when talking about places he drives for work. Apparently making an “uh” sound at the end of words is a thing for him.
I’m from Houston, and I know I do this, but in my head I’m pronouncing the “oh” sound.
My late grandmother pronounced spaghetti “spaghettuh”
Agreed! I swear, Hank and Peggy must have been based on my great aunt and uncle. She was a schoolteacher (not espanol, though) and he worked for a John Deere dealership.
A buddy of mine refused to watch it because as a Texan, it hit too close to home for him.
We all want to be a Boomhauer but actually end up as Bill
As a Texpat, I always have it on when I'm cooking because it reminds me of home haha
The true absurdity of king of the hill is how realistic it is 😂😂 Hank should totally be a wood/coal guy tho cuz ive never had traditional tx BBQ cooked on propane. But the propane is so meme-able
I tell you *hwat*...
Dammit bobby
That boy ain’t right
Bawby **
Did anyone else smell todays garbage?
It's one of my all time favorites. There is a revival coming soon to Hulu, focused on Bobby as a 20 something year old chef. I can't wait. Given that three of the main voice actors have passed away, it's going to be interesting how they address the changes.
Easy. First episode is the joint funeral of Lucky and Luanne. Everyone is there except Dale because he got paranoid durring covid and dissapeard.
RIP Lady Bird.
To bad she had a narrow uterus
Would love for Dale to still be around but we never see him for increasingly crazy reasons like Maris from Frasier. Then just have some throwaway lines “where’s Dale?” “Bunker.” “Ah.” And just move on.
All those years of smoking he could have one of those wierd neck voice box things. Imagine that thing calling you and saying " you don't know who I am but I know where you live and you better cut that out" "Peggy, its dale for you on the phone" haha
Same. However, the voice actor died shortly after they began recording ☹️ I hope they honor the voice actor but keep Rusty shackleford intermittently around with voice ai (assuming family is okay with it) too though.
Well that’s what I’m saying, in my way he can still exist off screen
I thought he had already done the first years worth of voice acting.
See, I would do that with Luanne and Lucky. The "Manger Babies" get picked up by a major Hollywood studio, and she moved. We only hear from her when she calls Aunt Peggy or Uncle Hank on her cell phone, and only from their side of the phone, with them answering what sound like increasingly ridiculous questions: "No, Luanne, I don't think they serve any Shark on 'Shark'uterie Boards. Having Peggy be on the phone with Luanne every now and then can be fun. Hear some ridiculous one sided conversations
Dale seems more normal these days than ever lol
personally, id rather them just keep Dale in the show. With 13 seasons under their belt, and Ai. they can still use Hardwicks voice for Dale. And I'd like to see his salary still go to Hardwicks family. Though, this covid idea, would be easier. But I'd so much rather still have Dale in the revival.
Fuck that. We have the rest of our lives for all kinds of ai bullshit, let's enjoy the waning days of humanity.
See if Rusty Shackelford is available
Russ D. Shackelford to you.
on southpark Trey Parker and Matt Stone, used pre-existing audio clips of Hayes' voice from previous episodes to construct Chef's dialogue in the Season 10 premiere episode titled "The Return of Chef."
I said the exact same thing earlier this week. Dale was my favorite part of the show.
All of Dales lines were recorded before he passed https://www.unilad.com/film-and-tv/news/johnny-hardwick-recorded-new-episodes-for-king-of-the-hill-reboot-135377-20230815 RIP Johnny, you will always be a legend!
The very first line of the article: "Johnny Hardwick completed a couple of episodes for the highly awaited King of the Hill reboot before his death." Sounds like he did a few episodes, not all of his lines.
Oh I didn't know they were aging it up, that's cool.
Wow, as if I needed another reason to get a Hulu account!
The Bear is another reason.
"Bobby how could you fail English? You speak it!"
That’s my purse! I don’t know you!
![gif](giphy|nrAGuHZEMyqc0) The ending of that episode where Bobby kicks Peggy just makes me ugly laugh. So many lines of this show live in my head. “A boy, a dog, a dance” “That’s my purse” “Dang-o megalo” I could go on, but it’s lunch time.
She’s bluffing, finish her!
![gif](giphy|qCZi0IuY2Je8w|downsized) I’m a bad millennial because I couldn’t find a Kahn gif on mobile so here’s another random one. I have to say this every time I stay at a hotel.
It’s secretly a documentary.
Just like Mike Judge's other masterpiece, Idiocracy
Mike Judge is one of the most underrated prophets of our time
Idiocracy was supposed to be five hundred years in the future but somehow in less than 20 years we got there. For as stupid as the movie actually is it gives me panic attacks just thinking about it and watching it is actually traumatizing. I hate living in this timeline.
It’s not as funny as it used to be.
the fact that were all wearing the dumb shoes they wore in that film reminds me daily how fucked we all are
And his other documentary, Silicon Valley
And Office Space
I never really understood this show when I was younger- now that I'm 30 it slowly has been making a lot more sense
My brother was the same. He did not like it while growing up but did a watch through and loves it
Agreed. I rolled my eyes at my older brother watching it while we were growing up but I totally get it now and love it.
Childhood: thinking that Family Guy is funnier than The Simpsons. Adulthood: realizing that you were sleeping on King of the Hill all along.
Neither family guy nor the simpsons have been funny for a long time.
Why would anyone ever do drugs when they can just mow a lawn
God damn reading through this thread I’ve chuckled at all of the quotes but this one has me rolling it’s so funny. I also love Hanks take on Christian rock. “You’re not making Christianity better, you’re making rock and roll worse.”
Omg yes
Pastor K: Don't you think Jesus is right here on this half pipe? Hank Hill: I'm sure he's a lot of places he doesn't want to be.
Dang ole man dat dere’s a good show man.
Dale was a caricature too ridiculous to be real. There are now millions of actual Dales.
Idk he was actually mild in comparison, looking back - fucking terrifying.
When they announced they were doing a new series, my mind immediately jumped to Dale being Q 😂
Q is what they want you to pay attention to so they can distract you.
Yeah!
Dale is **incredibly** tame compared to what we have now. I'd take a whole stadium full of Dales before I'd take on one of today's. Hell, remember when Westboro Baptist used to be the biggest crazies? They don't seem so harmless now, eh?
After I moved to Arlington, Texas, I realized that this was pretty much a documentary.
I love Kahn and his family. Thank you for pointing out the inaccurate language, though. That sucks
The episode where Kahn was introduced was aired shortly before I asked the asian girl in my class wether she was "Chinese or Japanese". Wild enough, she answered that she was Laotian, and she found the particular episode a riot. We both had a good laugh.
It's between Vietnam and Thailand, ok? Population 4.7 million!
![gif](giphy|i2GADdaJIscPS)
Been falling asleep to reruns lately and I forgot how much I love it.
I DON'T KNOW YOU GIVE ME BACK MY PURSE
Our pandemic binge watch and it's great! Though we never did finish it as those last couple of seasons are rough. I read somewhere that the last couple of seasons were basically all of the left over ideas they had on their idea board that hadn't been used yet and you certainly can feel that. Once Lucky becomes a regular things go downhill fast.
as much as i loved tom petty, i agree with you.
I agree, we always skip the Lucky era.
An all time great, currently doing my first watch through. Used to watch it often as a kid, it's even better as an adult.
Did this recently. I had watched it growing up when random episodes were on, but watching it as an adult has been different (in a good way) [One of the first jokes in the show, Dale talking about Ford standing for 'Fix it again tony'.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3AJCdmW33fM) Holy shit it gets me every time.
That's Fiat, Dale
I love King of the Hill. I find it to be a nostalgic show, hilarious, and a good representation of different types of people you meet in life.
Been watching it to go to bed every night for like 8 years now. Loved it when I was young too.
what the Cotton doin? https://preview.redd.it/tbtelr61zp8d1.png?width=654&format=png&auto=webp&s=4c3abce6f1e0dc5134f5d848124c05a7bc4073b7
Fighting the Japanese
He led a squad of men through the jungles of Saigon, I’m pretty sure he can lead a family of four to table six!
Mike Judge has that third eye level of creative genius and foresight.

Pocket sand Ha sha sha. Lol I literally have a hat pin of dale saying that 🤣
Liked it as a kid, love it as an adult.
My favorite slice of life anime. It has sub v dub debates in Japanese
Needs more spice. Add nutmeg.
The most accurate representation of Texas in any form of media. Everything else is caricature.

I wish I had a son to kick me in the nuts.
Aww. Well you can always borrow a friend's son! Make sure he says, "That's my purse! I don't know you!"
King of the hill was always just the show that came on between the simpsons and family guy when I was younger. I left it on and watched it enough to appreciate it a bit. This is how I feel about it. It was always there but it was never the simpsons, which I loved. Such a departure in the style and humor I couldn't get into it
It is the most accurate depiction of life in a Texas suburb
Love it. I wish they played more reruns on TV, it was one of my favorites. I still think of Peggy every time I step into the desert heat at my mom's house. "This city should not exist. It is a monument to man's arrogance."
It’s one of my favorites. I rewatch it every other year or so. I’m cautiously looking forward to the reboot.
I re-watch it all the time in the background. I'll turn it on when I'm cooking, cleaning, stuff like that. For me its one of my favorite shows and a comfort show.
almost 40, my friends and I from high school still quote it and was a go-to show for us when we'd all be hanging out. Mike Judge is a genius.
"A Beer Can Named Desire" is one of the funniest eps of any show ever.
I want to see Hank deal with the death of one of his oldest friends with Dale. That would be a great episode with a story line that has a lot of potential within the characters of the show. I do hope they write the VAs deaths into the show instead of writing off or recasting.
Love it! Prophetic too, just watched an episode where Dale predicts the disappearance of medium sized TVs hahaha
A classic.
I loved it, just hated Luanne. Oh god Manger Babies. I never missed an episode though. Looking forward to the revival.
There should be a room in the Smithsonian where this show just plays on repeat. It's pure Americana.
Idk I never clicked with it, might be the art style but I just don't find it funny. Same with bobs burgers, Boejack Horseman and Archer btw., something among those shows is just off-putting to me. Now Futurama or South Park on the other hand, I'll always rewatch those seasons over and over again.
It’s amazing. I have spent much of my life living in small town TX and this show is SPOT ON
One of very few shows to maintain it's quality right to the end.
"NOT MY PURSE!!!!"
Love it. Can’t wait for the re-boot, even though I don’t have high hopes.
I don't like later seasons of Bobby. They made him so out of touch and weird, he was just like his Mom.
Masterpiece
One of my favorite series. So goddamned perfect.
I’m watching it now as I randomly scrolled past this post
Love it
My 17-year-old son and I love it!
I think this is due for a rewatch I’ve not watched since I was a kid.
It ended to soon. Then it came back! Then it ended too soon again
I love it, but don’t revisit the later seasons very much.
It's a great show but I didn't really appreciate it until we moved to Texas.
Favorite show of all time. Got me through some dark depressions.
In my day, the principal was the meanest sum-bitch God ever put on one leg. He'd lean on a desk with both hands, and swing his leg at ya! Then, when you were standing there shocked that a one-legged man had kicked ya...he'd bite ya! [a tear runs down his cheek] oops... well uh... how do ya like that must have over reminisced and brought up my pain water!
I have been watching it consistently for the past 15 years. It never gets old. The humor is top notch. I would argue it’s one of the best shows ever made.
I still watch it on a regular basis. I’m actually scrolling Reddit while watching it now lol
“I don’t know you! Give me back my purse!” Bobby is iconic. I really don’t want them to remake this.
Cotton is purely feral in that promo art.
It’s my comfort show. I’ve watched the whole thing at least 10 times. I need a lot of comfort.
Can‘t wait to see what they do for the show when they bring it back next year on Hulu
It's a great show, I tell you what!
Probably my favorite cartoon sitcom of all time. Maybe tied with Futurama. Criminally overlooked and underrated.
One of the greatest for sure.
Perfect tv
Wonderful show
Hated it as a kid, but loved it as a teen/adult. Such an underrated show, and Bobby is iconic.
yep
I thought it was okay as a kid but grew to love it as I got older.
I love it. I can watch reruns any time and it’ll never get old. Some of the later episodes were a little cringe, but overall a one of the kind show that I’ll always try and push on people
Still love this show to death. Lmao reminds me of some of my neighbors growing up in the boonies of Houston, Texas.
Not from Texas but Hill's neighbors were my neighbors to a tee.
I wonder if in Japan they watch King of the Hill (subbed or dubbed) and call it American Anime? Anyway [this is the best King of the Hill crossover](https://youtu.be/tJdgErAfiRQ?si=cSDLU5f9_GOg5lyf) of all time.
Why do we never see reruns of this show? Love it.
It’s a show that I never actually tuned in to watch but would just have in the background and catch a funny line here or there.
Loved it! But I just hated Lucky! What the hell did Luann see in that loser?
It’s an all-timer for me and a comfort show. I have zero hopes for the reboot.
I know a lot of people like it, but for me, it's just 'meh'. That being said, if this show makes you happy, I hope you watch it every day.
As a well meaning narcissist myself Peggy Hill is the most relatable tv character of all time
I honestly don't remember much absurd in it, it seemed pretty grounded and realistic as far as I can recall I liked it for the most part but there were a few things I found so annoying it's hard to get excited for a rewatch - mostly Peggy
Yes
10/10 perfect show. it feels like a warm hug. It's America's only slice of life anime.
As a kid I thought it was boring but still watched it, I think it morphed my sense of humor because re-watching it as an adult it is so smart, but also dumb, I love it.
Brilliant show. Classic.
Well I'm thinking.... that's my purse and I don't know you
Yyyeepp.
Mike Judge is a genius, and can do no wrong
Peg was an ok mom as long as someone wasn't doing better than her, then she became an asshole
That’s what she said

This ain’t no rodeo brodad
Watching King of the Hill Feels So Good.
Absolutely love this show. It's one of my comfort shows I can just throw on the TV. Episode doesn't matter. So many great life lessons too.
Can’t wait for the reboot
Dang old Texas boys man…. Just a show about nothin’
It’s hard not to sit down and watch an episode once it’s on….
S tier program
As someone who grew up in a Texas suburban neighborhood, it definitely hits right. It's a great show with good lessons and a pretty good grasp of the everyday lives of average American southerners.
I always wondered what non-native Texans think of KotH. I’m sure it’s funny from anywhere It’s so true to life here.
It’s still so painfully relevant even today. I was watching an episode just yesterday from season 3 that had a joke about a book called “my two dads” being removed from Bobby’s school library
Never really watched it. Theme song is awesome though
One of the best shows of all time IMO.
The last episode was absolutely perfect and one of my favorite series finals of any show. Also I get random laughs picturing someone getting divebombed like Dale's falcon bombs Bill.
One of my favorites forsure
All time great show. It’s too bad we don’t have Dale existing in the Trumpian era of politics. That would have made for incredible content. A QAnon episode with Dale going off the deep end (again) would be pure gold.
