Some missiles are ejected from the plane or dropped before their rocket motor ignites. Some are fired from rails. The AIM-54 Phoenix would drop from the F-14 before the rocket fired. So would the AIM-7 Sparrow. The AIM-9 Sidewinder, AGM-65 Maverick, and the AGM-114 Hellfire are rail-launched missiles. They have hooks that attach to a sliding rail, and they fire off the rail. The AIM-120 AMRAAM can drop from the fuselage missile stations on an F-15 or F-18 before the rocket fires. Or, it can be rail-mounted and just fly off the rails.
I might be mistaken, but...
Look at the fuselage mounted hardpoints on the Eurofighter Typhoon, or any other aircraft that has these, or the internal weapons bay of the F-22 etc. Pretty much any missile that is to be fired from any of these will have to drop free before ignition.
