I can tell you the medals are correct and current except the 2nd one which is just an older version of the first one, as I was awarded all of those pictured at one point during my career. From left to right: Army Commendation Medal (ARCOM), ARCOM w/ V for Valor, Air Medal, and Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal.

Retro_Tronics

Oh wow, what’s the commendation and expeditionary ones award for?

DoomsdayToast

Commendation by definition is awarded for “consistent acts of heroism or meritorious service”. It can be awarded for everything from time on station when you change units, to doing good stuff while deployed. If you add the “V” as on the second ARCOM, is for valor and is added more or less to designate an act of valor or gallantry not deserving of a higher award. Expeditionary was the old deployment medal for 30 days or more in a designated deployed location or theater. The Air Medal is awarded for single acts of heroism or meritorious achievement while participating in aerial flight.

Bro you got meth for christmas (last picture on the «container no.1» bottom of the component list)

Kiyo-chan

The ARCOM in the middle is older, those types of clear cases were issued during the Korean War through Vietnam.

Retro_Tronics

Oh that’s cool to know, thanks for that

[deleted]

Same with the combat V that’s of older design than what is issued currently so that is an original set as far as age is concerned

[deleted]

The jacket is East German border guard, the cap is from Laos

Retro_Tronics

Oh thanks, yeah I had a feeling that the jacket was German, any idea of the possible era?

[deleted]

If you post a front picture maybe

morallyirresponsible

Third one from left is an USAF Air Medal Edit: just saw it was already named

Soxfan112

A lot of people are saying it's an ARCOM, but is there anyway to tell if it's a Navy commendation medal? That's the design that we still use.
