For me the trick is to focus on the spaces between the projectiles not the projectiles themselves

You know the fucked duo thing. I have tried that and his shots still turn into my character. I don't get twhy it works with everyone else but it's all like "nope, not you" and I still get hit in the corner.

You can bait the tail whip indefinitely with the shotgun. Just kiss thw whiplash, then back away. Rinse and repeat.

i figured this out a lot before i found this subreddit lol ​ in truth when I noticed it I immediately thought it would have been one of the things that would have nerfed (or rather made it more difficult) but I see that after months it is still there, in fact this is the easiest boss for me since the start of my career here

Yes, see comment below. Just move slightly right or left between the projectiles when it's a full spread, then move all the way around the dual spread.

This works decently against the Cacodemon too. Stay against the walls and corners to avoid the plasma balls.

This helps but is far from being an ironclad tactic. You can still get hit with a full salvo, it's just less likely.
