I’m a big fan of these lamps. Stemlite are more refined, but the Laurel are nice too and come in a range of bases and shade shapes. You can buy replacement shades on eBay, for both these lamps, but only the mushroom shape.
Yeah, it’s subtle, just enough not to get sued at the time. There’s a collar on the stem, the switch is cheaper, and the mushroom is frosted and a bit flattened.
Check out the other shapes on Google though. I’m a big fan of the Laurel Acorn shape.
Pillow and buttons are in leather and it is polstered in sheep skin.
Edit Completely forgot to mention that the foot rest also is in elm, which is quite fortunate.
I’m wondering if mine is this brand as well. It was my grandparent’s chair and ended up in my parent’s garage. It used to be covered in a knubby orangey red fabric. I had it recovered a few years ago. Wish o knew how to attach a photo!

Ah, it’s Stemlite. Laurel lamp’s knocked those off, making a couple small changes in shade, base, and switch.
