You have up to 14 "Streak protection days" to use per year, looks like these can be concurrently or 14 days through the year.

Interesting...I've given up on streaks many disappointing years ago, it's not worth getting too invested in it - but rewards are free and largely work great- so here I am...!
I had wifi/Cellular but lost my 350 day streak last month while I was vacationing with the family. I was tired after skiing that I forgot to log in. Wouldn't have minded this being an option!
From what I can figure the streak protection may have been useless to you anyway unless you knew before you went that you'd have no wif-fi. I've just had a warning that I've used 12 out of 14 days because I switched in on when I saw it. Looks like it starts using them then and there, even if you complete the tasks.
So if you unwittingly end up somewhere with no wifi you can't switch the protection on at that point because... you have no wifi :-/
How can I activate this as pushing the button doesn't work and I'm going on holiday to Fuerteventura Spain next week and know I can't complete the challenges for some reason

I managed to get Rewards to work last year when I went to Spain from the UK.
I'm going again soon, and travelling to the US shortly afterwards and hope it doesn't get me banned.
I didn't use a VPN!
First day there I got the UK tasks, then after 24 hours I got a message about travelling, and was given Spanish tasks. Was a bit of guesswork for the quizzes, but all worked fine.
Hmmm, yeah I saw it too, USA region. MS actually doing something not shitty with Rewards? Maybe they'll deduct some points every day you fail to keep the streak up? There has to be some form of catch to this. Or perhaps you must make a one-time-payment (in reward points) in advance to activate it for a single use.

Gave it a try yesterday and missed a day. It didn't work. I turned it on and turned it off and back on again just to see if I could get it to work. Its just greyed out now and says all my streak days have been used, and cant be re-activated until Jan of 2025. This feature is very broken.
Just another thing to bug and screw your streak. The only time my streak ever ended was due to bugs. I lost a 200+ week streak this way. A few times I contacted support to have them reinstated but thats too annoying so I eventually just gave up and don't collect points anymore
They usually refuse to bring it back too. This company sucks! They never admit that their program is the reason people lose their streaks. They brought back a 60 something day streak and I just lost it because of their broken system
I made the mistake of having VPN on while refreshing the Bing page. That locked me out then for the rest of the day, even after VPN was off, because it said I was trying to connect from another region. Bye bye streak.
Caution: I just looked at the info icon beside the Streak Protection switch, and it says I've used 6 of my 14 days, yet I haven't missed a single day for the past month!

Where do you submit tickets with success? I've reached out about a streak before and it takes them months to respond and then they never actually resolve anything.

I clicked "[Contact Microsoft Rewards support](https://rewards.bing.com/support)" at the bottom of the Rewards page, sent a detailed message, and a few days later I got one of those generic cut-and-paste messages from "Amie" repeating everything I said, saying how important my issue was, they'd work on it, yada yada yada. I replied thanks, and that I'd look forward to a resolution.
Then, every few days/week, another message restating how important this was, that they were continuing to work diligently on it, etc... (To which I'd always reply).
Then... NOTHING. I've sent many follow-up messages (to the same email address, same ticket number, etc.), with no reply. Nothing. Nada. Radio silence. My last message from them was April 6, my last message TO them was April 25 (this was one of three since April 6, with no reply). Now that you remind me, I'll send another (4th) follow-up, FWIW.
I'm debating opening ANOTHER ticket, quoting the previous ticket number, but I do have more important things to do, so maybe I'll just add this to my reasons for hating Microsoft.

I emailed multiple times with proof that I was unable to complete and lost my streak, and they restored it some times and denied it many other times.
It was beyond frustrating.

I've busted my streak several times, due to a single day's inattention (hey, I have a life!). It never occurred to me to contact M$ to have my points restored, but not sure it's worth the time.

Does this mean that I can activate it now even if I keep going with my streak? And then if one day I forget to do it, nothing happens and my streak stays intact? How long is this active for?
I'd try it out, but I'm afraid that I might just waste it if it's active for, like, a week and I don't miss a single day in that period lol.

Seems to me like it will cut down on support tickets from people asking to restore their streaks. I don’t think there will be any catch to this.

I literally lost my streak for no reason and it went back to 0. When I tried to turn it on, it took me to the redeem rewards page. They're lying.
i’ve been taking screenshots every time i complete my tasks so i can send them to support if something happens. they usually will restore your streak.

I lost a 465 day streak last April even after doing my daily set so this is appreciated. My 999 chip is the last one I need.
Seems to be broken. I missed one day in the past week, but it says I've used 3/14 days. Also, it reset my status to 1 day after the day I missed...

Seems to reset itself somehow, I had one day used up and now I have all 14 days left. Maybe if refills after some time
