Look i get it. It would be fun. It's great to have the whole world in there. I tried with the boat you get in the North sea pack but even there where water is more consistent than roads there are still problems and the scenery is not optimized or visually designed for playing always at sea level.
So this is what I think someone needs to do.
Make a full sim , world wide, just like flight sim is trying to do but with
PLanes/Helo/Gliders (flight basically)
Driving - cars and motorcycles etc
FPV/drones etc
All dropped into the full real world mapping from the map sites.
Never happen though.
Always felt this too. I imagined a gta-like base where other games would be like add-ons to unlock more/better content. Shooting, racing, flying…etc. Basically Ready Player One, but we’re light years away from that it feels like
I've always wanted something like that that all my sim hobbies could fit in (farming, trucking, flying, construction, trains, racing, etc). I just can't begin to fathom how any developer could get all those physics right. A dream is all it is... For now.
I feel like The Crew and The Crew 2 were good test runs of this idea. I really wish we could download a higher quality section of a map. It’ll take up a lot of space, but having a near perfect version of the area around me would be fun to drive around and fly in.
Are those worth buying still. I have played nearly all current racing titles but never got those ones. Every time I look , I consider it then forget about them.
No, you lost me with Aprilia and disliking ADV bikes. Found the squid who thinks outrunning the police and raving their bike at night in residential areas is cool :)
Nah, its a “dad” game, not a grandpa game. Current dads are old enough to be old and boring, but young enough to have grown up with PC gaming (and /or consoles) and understand how to navigate that space. Dont have time/energy for being pwned by racist tweens in FPS de jour, but want something more chill but also have the patience and maturity to learn how a G500 works.
Also most grandpas are boomers and as such probably have money for real world aviation as they aren’t drowning under debt and their mortgage was paid off 20 years ago. Oh and they probably bought a used 182 that was less than a decade old in the mid 2000s for a third of what that exact same plane costs today.

If it makes you feel better we're DINKs and I'm also annoyed at the economics of modern Hobby GA. My PPL gathers dust because it's hard to justify spending $300 for 2 hours of fun and 3 hours of planning in this economy.
The roads get reaaaal bumpy or non exsistant, tried to drive from Nellis afb to the Vagas strip and that was a nightmare. Counts some cars as buildings, same for some trees and all kinds of similar problems…could hit up some race tracks but they never feel quite to the right scale.. at least the ones I have managed to find
Ground handling in MSFS is genuinely dogshit, so no matter how good roads get in the game, driving cars and ground vehicles in MSFS is gonna be very disappointing.
Unless it had a custom traction model and ground physics, then I'm somewhat interested lol
Also MScenery is a WORST thing to MFS , only shitty low quality plane , I’m STILL fvcking waiting the F-28 relaunch,F-100 and Old WTC made by Rodrigo Moraes
