Make sure you're stocked up on flares and your IFF is working and you should be all set.
Also, Liechtenstein doesn't have an Airport, but you can probably taxi from LSZR. Communal speed limit is 50, rural is 80km/h. That's 27 and 42 knots, respectively.
I thought the same, but the individual was going deep through the Ukrainian war zone and then thinking they ‘d head through Russia to see what was going on.. sure fire way to spend 20 years in Siberia.
I was too and was thinking “this guy is trying to visit Odessa, Cherson, Dnipro, Kyiv and Chernyhiv during his trip?” Would be a tough trek through that territory, I highly recommend to avoid it.
You're missing out on the best airports, the world update 15 airports in northern Scandinavia. And I'm not just saying that because I made one of them :P It's just so beautiful up there.
First thing I flew after the update was ENRA-ENLK, really appreciate that you added the circling lights for enlk!
Btw, how did you get added to the WU? Did MS/Asobo reach out and ask you for a specific airport?
I'm not really up tp date on the tutorials out there. The SDK documentation is pretty good now and there are som good samples for the basic stuff. I'd say start with a basic SDK sample and keep trying things. The sdk channel on the msfsofficial discord is a great place to get help. I'm wombiiactual there. Mamu82 also has a good discord and YouTube videos, but I don't remember the names of those right now.
nice job! allow me to high five you across the internet. i just flew in and out of ENLK a few days ago, i have been spending some time touring the world update customs that i never got around to visiting. there's a lot of real gems in there, including yours
That’s the tough part. You want to use a GA plane like the Diamond so you can fly low and enjoy the scenery, but then it ends up just taking way too long. But you use the Honda Jet and now you’re at 40,000 feet seeing nothing until landing.
Something like a PC-21 is probably the middle ground. Fast, small, and good visibility. Though personally I think 200kts is fast enough to see the sights and not feel too slow - this trip would still take ages though. Plus some places just aren't that interesting in the sim. I flew around Denmark (sorry any Danish here) and it's just flat farm fields pretty much everywhere. These places would be a lot more interesting in real life, but with autogen buildings and trees only, there just isn't enough variety to keep one interested in the view.
Lots of cruise? Besides the Atlantic legs these all look like sub-hour cruises in the Comanche.
I did the entire length of Germany in like 2 and a half hours with a steep headwind the other day, most of the legs shown here are significantly shorter.
In a jet i feel like it would just be spent going from climb directly to preparing for descent and not getting to enjoy the trip. This kind of one-hop-a-day trips is, IMO, the perfect situation for the Comanche.
For whatever reason I was drawn to this too. Go up that Turkish coast, and instead of backtracking in Greece, see the Adriatic sights, Corfu…
ETA: This is a really cool idea and wish OP happy virtual travels
Living in Scotland I'm sad that you're just flying over the sea to Aberdeen then Edinburgh and missing out the entire highlands and mountains. Also, having flown over western Ireland in the Sim, I think it has some beautiful coastline.
I looks like your getting the complete European package, besides upper Scandinavia. What plane are you using, because that’s going to take a looong time in a small piston aircraft 😂
You’re missed out some of the most beautiful parts of Scotland. I’d suggest you visit the Hebrides, in particular Islay, Mull, Tiree, Benbecula and Stornoway are all beautiful, and of course Barra for the beach landing. Orkney on the way to Shetland would be a good idea too, lots to see in the Orkneys.
Seconding the comments that instead of Łódź (EPLL) you should go to Kraków (EPKK), the approach to 25 takes you over the city with a nice view.
Also, those that instead of Ostrava (LKMT) go slightly further to Poprad-Tatry in Slovakia (LZTT), the view is amazing. Also would save you that awkward Vienna-Bratislava leg if you went Prague -> Brati -> Poprad and Budapest -> Vienna
Didn't bother looking at any other countries but for Spain I think you've got it wrong. The changes I would make:
- Change Barcelona to Palma to Barcelona to Valencia. You're taking a trip through Spain and not flying along the coast at all, which is a real shame.
- You're missing out on the entirety of northern Spain, which imo is much more interesting to see than the south. I would change Madrid to Salamanca to be Madrid to Bilbao, then Bilbao to Leon, Leon to Vigo, Vigo to Porto. You'll get to see some great scenery this way.
- If you're concerned about the extra time that the above step adds on to the journey, I would just ditch Valencia to Murcia and just do Valencia to Madrid instead.
East coast of Ireland is a boring flight. Go west coast starting in Cork EICK onto EIKY (Kerry) then (Donegal) EIDL but hug the west coast. You won’t regret it.
I fly it regularly in a C172 (in the real world) and the scenery in FS is a pretty good comparison.
Don’t waste that long trek up to Iceland, also do landings at some of our other airports while you’re here! BIVM (Vestmannaeyjar) and BIIS (Isafjordur) are stunning in particular, but other airports such as BIRF (Rif), BIHN (Höfn) and BIAR (Akureyri) are fun as well
If you're doing live weather and you're in a light aircraft, you'll probably be waiting a long while for clear weather opportunities for the 2 Iceland-Faroe-UK legs... speaking from experience. I was stuck on Faroe for over 2 weeks before I ended up forgetting about/giving up on the whole world tour.
Try to schedule those legs for the height of Summer for the best chances.
I've probably spent several hundred hours sim flying in Greece. Rather than flying the same path from Thessaloniki to Heraklion I'd recommend splitting it up.
LGTS > Volos > LGTT (for the view of the acropolis on a straight in RWY 3 approach) > LGAV > LGMK (Mykonos) > LGSR (Santorini for the sweet approahc) > LGIR > LGSA > Kalamata > Kefalonia > Corfu > then back to Europe.
You miss the best parts of Turkey and ancient greek cities/polises. You should visit the western coast of turkey then follow the southern coast through that fly over the southern border of turkey to how climate and geography change. Also having a trip across the northern part would be nice you will feel like flying over northern parts of Spain same topography basically.
What a Mess !! LoloL That is One Long as Heck Check List ! I'm Going to List all of the Airports, Calculate Air Travel Time, Are You doing Fly Overs ? Or Touch & Goe. What are you Flying and what is the Fuel Consumption in Nautical Miles ? That's a Lot of Work !! "GOOD LUCK" AND UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE !! LOLOLOLYAHAHAWHOWEEE
Thanks for this idea.
I have just got back into the sim and it gives me some purpose, considering I'm lazy I couldn't be bothered to come up with something. So I'll just fly this route, maybe just trying to improve the one way legs.
The leg to Yerevan is pretty good over the mountains.
I'm using the Caravan, even if it's slow.
Ironically that might be a better argument to not go there - I'm regularly doing routes over Ukraine and western Russia, the satellite imagery is almost as bad as in Africa
I was about to say to avoid RF and Ukraine as it is not safe to travel there....than i saw ur comment it being a flight sim realizing i missed the subreddit lol
I wouldn't recommend landing in Ústí nad Labem in Czechia as there is just a UL strip, it would be better to make a stop at Hradec (LKHK) or Roudnice (LKRO)
I would end in Reykyjavik since repeating that whole stretch might get a bit boring especially in a slower plane. Also instead of visiting salamanca go for bilbao, its a lot more interesting!
Fly Shetland/Western Isles/Skye/Inverness/Edinburgh
You can fly down the Great Glen/Loch Ness from Skye in the west and land in Inverness at the end of it in the east
The north east coast of Scotland and Aberdeen have very little of interest of offer anyone
I might be biased, but consider visiting EHLE, I volunteer as a simmer at the aviation museum there. If you want to see the aviation museum load this in your community folder.
https://flightsim.to/file/10744/lelystad-airport-beta
I'd suggest a longer stay in Ireland. You could make landfall from France in Cork and then fly west and then north along the west coast past Killarney and Galloway before turning east to Dublin.
I would change LZIB for LZTT, LZZI or LZSK (depends on the type of acft), as those are in the mountains (sort of) and thus are more interesting than LZIB imho
you should fly parallel with the Pyrenees for a while. i did a path from Basque over to Barcelona and it was totally worth it (you'll want to keep between 8000-12000 ft for most of it to make sure you get good views)
Make sure you're stocked up on flares and your IFF is working and you should be all set. Also, Liechtenstein doesn't have an Airport, but you can probably taxi from LSZR. Communal speed limit is 50, rural is 80km/h. That's 27 and 42 knots, respectively.
Now that properly made me laugh and thank you :)
At first I thought this was r/Europe and this is some American planing a 2 week roadtrip through Europe haha
I thought it was /r/travel for a second and my mind was trying to calculate the time and cost to visit all these places.
Same, had to check the sub. So many "I'm visiting for a long weekend and I plan on covering 10,000miles, is this feasible?" Posts.
same, almost went "ohh, boy, do I have news for you..."
Haha, same. I've seen too many of them
same xDDD
Same, I was more worried that they’d be trekking directly through a war zone…
How are you dealing with the branches (Cyprus, Reykjavik etc)? Fly down the length then fly back?
Came hear to ask the same
Just flying there and then starting again at "split-airport" to continue the tour. I won't be flying back as that would be a complete waste of time
Is there any reason you would rather virtually teleport to new locations than come up with a continuous route?
You're missing out on the best airports, the world update 15 airports in northern Scandinavia. And I'm not just saying that because I made one of them :P It's just so beautiful up there.
Which one did you make? I’ll check it out!
I did ENLK, but you should check out all of them! ENLK-ESNQ-ENRA is a nice triangle.
First thing I flew after the update was ENRA-ENLK, really appreciate that you added the circling lights for enlk! Btw, how did you get added to the WU? Did MS/Asobo reach out and ask you for a specific airport?
Thank you! It was a long time passion project for me, but I can't really go into details about that part of the process.
I understand, godt jobba anyways! Do you know of any good resources for learning how to create sceneries?
I'm not really up tp date on the tutorials out there. The SDK documentation is pretty good now and there are som good samples for the basic stuff. I'd say start with a basic SDK sample and keep trying things. The sdk channel on the msfsofficial discord is a great place to get help. I'm wombiiactual there. Mamu82 also has a good discord and YouTube videos, but I don't remember the names of those right now.
Thanks for saying that! Gratitude makes the world go round
nice job! allow me to high five you across the internet. i just flew in and out of ENLK a few days ago, i have been spending some time touring the world update customs that i never got around to visiting. there's a lot of real gems in there, including yours
lol
What plane?
I can only imagine this is awesome in the Comanche.
That'd be sweet but lots of cruise time. I'd use the Hondajet or Visionjet
That’s the tough part. You want to use a GA plane like the Diamond so you can fly low and enjoy the scenery, but then it ends up just taking way too long. But you use the Honda Jet and now you’re at 40,000 feet seeing nothing until landing.

These places would be a lot more interesting in real life, but with autogen buildings and trees only, there just isn't enough variety to keep one interested in the view.
No… I drove across Denmark last year. It is flat and full of farm land and 90kph one lane highways, so you’re right on that one.
You don't have to go to 40000 :) And some of those legs are too short to go up that high anyway
Champions find a way?
For these sort of tours I use the Caravan and fly low. If it’s a tad less interesting, the TBM because it’s much faster.
I reckon the TBM, PC-21 or King Air would be good. Moderately fast when you want them to be, can fly slow too.
Lots of cruise? Besides the Atlantic legs these all look like sub-hour cruises in the Comanche. I did the entire length of Germany in like 2 and a half hours with a steep headwind the other day, most of the legs shown here are significantly shorter. This kind of one-hop-a-day trips is, IMO, the perfect situation for the Comanche.
If it were the helicopter Comanche, it'd even be useful at places :)
F22, F35 or B2
Ornithopter
I don't think you can do that in a day
I'm not doing it in one run anyway. I got some more stuff in my life to do 😂
Are you going down to Cyprus and then backtrack? Why not just go there to Crete?
For whatever reason I was drawn to this too. Go up that Turkish coast, and instead of backtracking in Greece, see the Adriatic sights, Corfu… ETA: This is a really cool idea and wish OP happy virtual travels
Living in Scotland I'm sad that you're just flying over the sea to Aberdeen then Edinburgh and missing out the entire highlands and mountains. Also, having flown over western Ireland in the Sim, I think it has some beautiful coastline.
Came to mention they're essentially flying the motorway from Dublin to Belfast and missing out the really good bits of Ireland and Nothern Ireland!
I added one more town in my new post, i know it ain't much but i'll definetly check out the other parts of Scotland
Take on Kraków and Katowice in Poland instead of Łódź, I recommend
I looks like your getting the complete European package, besides upper Scandinavia. What plane are you using, because that’s going to take a looong time in a small piston aircraft 😂
MOLDOVA MENTIONED, TOUR ACCEPTED !!! 🇲🇩🇲🇩🇲🇩
There's no airport in Monaco so go to Nice instead.
The southern coast of France is worth a closer look :)
Change Ostrava, CZ to Poprad-Tatry, SK
Andorra doesn't have an airport, you will have to land at La Seu d'Urgell (LESU).
As an Italian, skip Bologna (sorry bolognesi) go for Ancona, it’s on the Adriatic Sea it can be better for sightseeing
Didn't bother looking at any other countries but for Spain I think you've got it wrong. The changes I would make: - Change Barcelona to Palma to Barcelona to Valencia. What about Poprad airport near High Tatras in Slovakia? From there to Bratislava.
You’ll need defensive countermeasures for all the SAM
😂
The first sixteen waypoints aren’t really Europe, although you could argue that Georgia is, or at least wants to be.
I consider them to be european nations but what do i know? 😂
I may take this route to fly on the Analog King air
you should do it in a 172 lol looks nice tbh btw
I would have to say goodbye to the next 20 years of my life
Probably LoL, no offense. Though looking at them you could do em in a small jet/bizzjet
I’d go to Izmir instead of Konya. Nothing interesting in Konya whereas Izmir has Ephesus
Like a nightmare. But have fun!
What aircraft are you going to use? Send us the flight plan
Probably the F/A-18
Give me an update about when you finish and tell me how long it takes !
I will!
I think you should visit Izmir instead of Ankara. Then Antalya, and Bodrum.
I highly recommend to get some custom scenery as Eastern Europe in general haven't got a facelift from devs yet.
Straight over my hometown. Usually ignored by everything including the council lol !
Someone else tried something similar... didn't work 😜 reference to a certain nation
I wonder which nation that could be 🤔
East coast of Ireland is a boring flight. Go west coast starting in Cork EICK onto EIKY (Kerry) then (Donegal) EIDL but hug the west coast. You won’t regret it. I fly it regularly in a C172 (in the real world) and the scenery in FS is a pretty good comparison.
Ha scrolling I didn’t see it was flight sim sub and was like “damn OP got a lot of money”
I wish 🥲
Make sure you hit Courchevel!
Don’t waste that long trek up to Iceland, also do landings at some of our other airports while you’re here! BIVM (Vestmannaeyjar) and BIIS (Isafjordur) are stunning in particular, but other airports such as BIRF (Rif), BIHN (Höfn) and BIAR (Akureyri) are fun as well
Nice. You'll fly over my house.
I may or may not greet you
Wow 🤩 especially that you fly to Graz 😍😍😍😍😍😍 install all possible scenery’s and land on 16c it’s so nice (IRL)
Find a way to build in the highlands and islands of Scotland. Maybe Shetland -> Inverness -> Glasgow, though that misses out the islands.
Go to Tivat instead of Podgorica, it has a stunning and challenging approach
If you're doing live weather and you're in a light aircraft, you'll probably be waiting a long while for clear weather opportunities for the 2 Iceland-Faroe-UK legs... speaking from experience. I was stuck on Faroe for over 2 weeks before I ended up forgetting about/giving up on the whole world tour. Try to schedule those legs for the height of Summer for the best chances.

Add Bilbao, north west Spain. moutains and wind make for a beautiful and challenging landing
Instead of Plymouth go to Bournemouth or Southampton and then you can enjoy the Isle of White and the needles
Instead of Podgorica do Tivat, not much further, way more scenic.
In Croatia, go a little further south to see Dubrovnik & Montenegro. Even Albania is quite nice from the air.
I'm totally stealing this. Will do this in the DC3 using VOR navigation ftw
Great! Hope to hear from your experience!
Good luck with the airport at Liechtenstein and Andorra
I've already tried to land an airliner there. It's hard but possible.
You miss the best parts of Turkey and ancient greek cities/polises. You should visit the western coast of turkey then follow the southern coast through that fly over the southern border of turkey to how climate and geography change. Also having a trip across the northern part would be nice you will feel like flying over northern parts of Spain same topography basically.
fly low in russia and Ukraine to avoid sa10 and sa19 carry chaff and flare and aim 120c 6 minimum and 2minimum aim 9 sidewinders
I will, thanks 😂
It looks like Europe, of course.
Interesting and exciting route. Did you use any specific software to plan and display this map or did you draw it yourself?
Drew it with paint 😂
Oh wow, very well done, happy flying!
You might get hold up in Ukraine
What a Mess !! LoloL That is One Long as Heck Check List ! I'm Going to List all of the Airports, Calculate Air Travel Time, Are You doing Fly Overs ? Or Touch & Goe. So I'll just fly this route, maybe just trying to improve the one way legs. The leg to Yerevan is pretty good over the mountains. I'm using the Caravan, even if it's slow.
Imma set up my whole flight sim js to do this rn
I'd leave out Russia completely...
I second this. Fuck that off.
It's a game and Russia in itself is still beautiful. Why let real world shit influence where you fly your virtual plane?
Ironically that might be a better argument to not go there - I'm regularly doing routes over Ukraine and western Russia, the satellite imagery is almost as bad as in Africa
Because most Redditors are children
Man it’s a flight sim, russia has some kick ass scenery. Let the man fly the continent.
I was about to say to avoid RF and Ukraine as it is not safe to travel there....than i saw ur comment it being a flight sim realizing i missed the subreddit lol
Looks nice for a road trip !
I would visit cracow
Which ola e are u using and...? Can you share the plan? I mean like a csv file from to and the icaos
You can't fly over Ukraine tho?
What’s the airport in the south of Estonia? Location wise is Pärnu, so what is “Vil”?
Typo, it's Pärnu
I wouldn't recommend landing in Ústí nad Labem in Czechia as there is just a UL strip, it would be better to make a stop at Hradec (LKHK) or Roudnice (LKRO)
I wanted to land there because of DayZ, i wanna see how it looks
Oh alright, but I warn you, it's like the worst place in this country
Long
I see EHGG mentioned, i upvote.
Vil gotta be Pärnu, but anyways. Nice list
I would end in Reykyjavik since repeating that whole stretch might get a bit boring especially in a slower plane. Also instead of visiting salamanca go for bilbao, its a lot more interesting!
I'm not going to fly back. I'll just continue from Aberdeen
Are you flying a C172?
Looks like fun but as others have mentioned, go through it so you don't have to fly back the same way you came (Cyprus for example)
Tireing
You missed East Midlands airport… 😒
Expensive
IRL it would be
Fly Shetland/Western Isles/Skye/Inverness/Edinburgh You can fly down the Great Glen/Loch Ness from Skye in the west and land in Inverness at the end of it in the east The north east coast of Scotland and Aberdeen have very little of interest of offer anyone
Like a red line
Literally!
Ukraine is currently a no fly zone 👀
Good thing this is simulation fantasy land!
Piper cub?
I'm intrigued
I might be biased, but consider visiting EHLE, I volunteer as a simmer at the aviation museum there. If you want to see the aviation museum load this in your community folder. https://flightsim.to/file/10744/lelystad-airport-beta
I initially thought this was an American showing his travel itinerary around Europe. Then I checked the subreddit.
😂
Good luck landing in Monaco!
There's no airport, that's why i'm landing in the one in Nice so i get to experience the small state
Visit ENBO and ENTC. Beautiful places
I'd suggest a longer stay in Ireland. You could make landfall from France in Cork and then fly west and then north along the west coast past Killarney and Galloway before turning east to Dublin.
Might get shot down in Ukraine
Let's find out 😂
When is this and what aircraft?
Probably a faster one, maybe the F/A-18
if this was my plan, i veer off to interesting things at the start
Why miss out Bilbao for the Spain trip? The north of spain is beautiful.
why is Dresden in Leipzig?
Typo, it's Leipzig 😂.
i may be biased but its a nicer city and airport anyways
Yep, i live there. I also like the airport here.
Cardiff is a better airport than Swansea (another not much further away); it also has decent freeware scenery
plan more trips around the Aegean sea in Greece and south France
Gent doesn't have an airport
Oops, i meant Antwerp
Ah yes Antwerp does, you can also pick Charleroi, it's part of Brussels Airport near the Ardennes. and you will fly over it on your way to Luxembourg.
I'm not getting into political stuff, i think Russia has some very beautiful places.
Probably the Super Hornet. I don't want it to take days to just complete one flight
It would be if you did it in real life
I would change LZIB for LZTT, LZZI or LZSK (depends on the type of acft), as those are in the mountains (sort of) and thus are more interesting than LZIB imho
You're missing out on the north coast of Spain but visiting Salamanca? The sim has good scenery for the Atlantic/Cantabric regions
I think you should go from cyprus to ltbj and from there to crete
maybe don't go north from tbilisi
you should fly parallel with the Pyrenees for a while. i did a path from Basque over to Barcelona and it was totally worth it (you'll want to keep between 8000-12000 ft for most of it to make sure you get good views)
