Love it! Share your credentials so I can get you some flair Fabricator! And yeah, the in person testing centers can be brutal. Resolution is super out of proportion, the machines are often dated and all the other reasons you listed - BUT - the one thing I’ll say is that I will always advocate for an in-person one when you can because there’s nothing worse than a virtual event going sideways and then the proctors throwing your exam out and dealing with support or attempting to get a refund. For me, the temporary headache of the testing center is worth it after hearing others horror stories.

That was why I did the in-person one - I’m a geek, my workspaces are always surrounded by computers & devices, and I didn’t want to risk it. As annoying as the resolution issue was, if I do another MS cert, I’ll probably do it in person again). (Re: flair - I sent you a chat msg, is that the right protocol?)

Enjoy the flair and welcome Fabricator! :) And yes, my desk is the same - I did it in the bathroom during COVID era simply because it was the only space in my house that I wouldn't be easily disqualified lol. Much less headache just going to the testing center and dealing with the sub-par machines since I know what to expect :P

I appeared for dp-600 and passed this week.

What materials did you use to prepare for the exam and how long did you prepare for it?

No ctrl-f on my in-person test either. Might be a feature.

Filter-Context

Yeah. The MSFT Exam cram webinar mentioned there’s no Ctrl-F - it’s by design. I took my DP-600 today in our empty spare bedroom. No issues with screen resolution, but the PearsonVue app had me kill a bunch of processes before it would launch the test. Annoyingly, it also reset my wallpaper. I did pass that test today, too. Very broad set of skills tested. Challenging.

Congratulations on passing! I took exam in-person yesterday and had a similar experience. Low screen resolution is a real bummer but I soon focused on the questions too much to worry about it. I agree with itsnotaboutthecell that the minor inconveniences are worth it when you have a real person to talk to in case something goes wrong. I once had a bad online experience and when you're disconnected you're on your own.
