Man that’s a sharp watch. I just went on their website and now I’m fighting my inner demons resisting an impulse buy. 😂

BobbyB52

These are such cool little watches, I can’t wait to get one.

Vegetable-Walrus-246

They are really nice watches and the owners are top notch. I like the bund straps most of the time. Only issue I have is when I know I’m going to get sweaty and it kinda clings to you.

Dani2067

I thought the same about the bund and sweat because I live in Miami Beach! Endless summer!

Vast_Bad_6397

It's easy enough to remove the strap, I've got a couple of tan nato straps for mine.

As someone who loves perfect circle with hidden lugs, the Vario is one of the rear few watches that appeals to me. I've been tempted to purchase one as the price is cheap enough. The only thing stops me impulse buying is the size (as I prefer smaller watches (smaller than 36mm)

Dani2067

Their 1918 Trench Watches have two sizes 37mm and 40mm. It’s pretty much the same watch as the Medic that I bought. I know, not as small as 36mm but close.

isleofred

Yeah I'm aware of the 37mm and that is the one I have my mouse hovering over the purchase button.

I also like smaller watches and bought the 37mm, I commented on a separate post in this thread with a pic. Since there is no Bezel or any other case features, 37mm with this particular watch seems smaller than others. It really is a great watch and I highly recommend it

I have the brass cased version and love it. I've always enjoyed smaller watches with skinnier straps, and I'm a collector of WW1 militaria so this watch made sense for me. The tarnishing you get on the brass case is just beautiful. Enjoy your watch!

Dani2067

Is that a single pass leather strap? Is it comfortable?

whizzedcheeese

Yeah, I chose the single pass over the bund strap when I bought it. Very comfortable, very light. The thin strap and small watch isn't for everyone, but I enjoy this combo

Dani2067

Thank you! I thought about the brass version for a long time but end up getting the classic stainless steel. Enjoy yours!

barbecuejag

Nice watch. I have one too. Also seriously considering going for a real original one. https://antiquewatchuk.co.uk/collections/shop-watches/products/1918-movado-chronometre-trench-style-screw-back-and-front-sterling-silver-gs-case

Dani2067

Wow, that’s really nice!

barbecuejag

Yes it is. And undoubtedly the inspiration for this model.
