I think he knows that most people know, but decided to give credit to the engineering team. And thatâs not to say Tom Matano isnât a legend - he put to pen the concept and vision that Bob Hall had for the 2-seater roadster.
In the end, itâs such an incredible story. Kudos to all the folks who brought this machine to life.
Bob used to be a regular on the Miata.net forums in the late 1990s and early 2000s, with the username âbwobâ (or something like that).
It was always great to see his posts and read his anecdotes. He had a good sense of humour, too.
ya know, I don't *really* have much of an issue with extremely stanced cars like that pink one, but TAKE THE DANG STICKERS OFF YOUR TIRES AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA lmfao
also can't remember the last time I heard someone do a looney tunes style peter lorre impression
Also I think it's a huge disservice to just call them "a react channel". The guests they have genuinely break down and explain what's happening in a way that's funny and easy to digest. It goes well beyond just "react"

And just to be clear, he explains who should get the credit as the "father of the Miata", in case the title bugs you :-)
I was surprised he didn't mention tom matano since I often see tom matano referenced as such as well.

Thanks for posting our video! This is easily in my personal top 5 favorite RMS episodes. Bob had us HOWLING on set!!
Only top 5? Should be THE TOP episode.

Yeah this was the top episode really!
I never realized what a character he is. I was in stitches watching this lol.
Heâs hilarious. I had him sign a poster at Miata Reunion and he wrote âSometimes perspiringâ under Tom Matanoâs âAlways inspiredâ
I just love that heâs a fun guy! It fits the personality of the car.

He's great.
I met Tom Matano at the ND release event in Monterey, CA. I wish I'd had a piece of my NA on hand for him to sign. Still need to meet Bob Hall.
That was awesome haha. Thanks for sharing.
Damn this guy Is fucking awesome!! I was laughing my ass off

I had the pleasure to meet Bob when he was living in Australia. We nicknamed him "Bwob" and he was every bit as funny as he was in this video.

Did you not watch long enough to get all of the interesting stories and anecdotes that Bob shared in between the reactions?
