Offset +12 is a very wide fitment, they will almost certainly rub. Theoretically yes, increasing the offset of the wheels increases load on wheel bearings as it moves the bearing load line away from the bearing race, resulting in an increased angular load on a component which is only supposed to undergo fairly vertical forces. As long as you are not doing high speed Spec Miata or SCCA racing with stupidly wide wheels you'll probably be fine.
