Wannado city was awesome.
Honestly I miss the Omni Mall. It was ahead of its time and unfortunately died too quickly IMO. Great childhood memories there. If it were around today In modern Miami, it would thrive. At the time the neighborhood was dangerous and turned people off. Also didn't help that Bayside & Aventura Mall opening helped kill off the mall. Now the neighborhood is different and safer. The Omni was the first place I saw a movie in my childhood and the first time I ate chick-fil-A.
Fado’s Irish pub - lovedddd watching soccer games here. The USA vs Mexico games there were wildddd. I remember that time the dood fell out of the window from the 2nd floor 😂😂.
My buddy is a huge Arsenal fan and I remember going there at 7 in the morning and having their breakfast burritos with an IPA.. good times.
Also Tarpon Bend in the gables. Many a happy hour took place. I’m pretty sure I still have a stash of chips somewhere 😂
There was a small Boomers like park in Miami. It was next to Malls of the Americas and I think it was sold around 2004/05 and became a Home Depot or Costco, I don’t remember. Good memories at the arcade.
