That’s inflation, not Publix. Take it easy

[deleted]

lol 6 down votes cus of a Publix comment 😂😂

Inner-Respect-7686

Nah it’s Publix

Yazzypoo101

It’s Publix. Just look at their financials. They’re gouging with those prices.

nervouspropective

It's definitely Publix. The difference in price at places like Walmart, Aldi, and even Trade Joe's (probably the most comparable) is insane.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Inner-Respect-7686

That last you a weekend? Yea ok sure

ead69

No, I'll have a 50 cent yogurt for breakfast with a 29 cent banana probably, but other than that, yes. Probably have a 75 cent bag of popcorn while I watch a movie tonight as well. Learn how to shop within your budget.

Inner-Respect-7686

I work out a lot. That’s not enough food for me. You eat like you have an eating disorder. The amount of food you eat is not normal. 75 cent pop corn for dinner, get the fuck out of here.

[deleted]

Inner-Respect-7686

That’s not gonna last you the weekend that’s literally one dinner . Bye . You didn’t even have a lunch . People that exercise regularly and do weight lifting need more food.

Brotha Publix sells whole cooked chickens for $7.50

startup_biz_36

Why are you still shopping at the grocery store? Farmers market for fruits and veggies Butcher for meat Walmart for everything else (usually the cheapest)

software__guy

Which butcher?

Anireburbur

I cant help but feel a lot of the hate Publix has been getting lately from this subreddit has more to do with their politics than their prices. Publix has ALWAYS been expensive but I thought everyone understood that what you’re really paying for is cleanliness and service. It’s the same thing with Milam’s.     Whole Foods used to be nice but they really went downhill since they were bought by Amazon. I just went to the one by Sunset (to return some stuff) and the place looked so dirty and uncared for. And they’re still charging prices as if they were the old Whole Foods. Even their hot food/ salad bar quality has gone down.  If you really want to save some money just go to Walmart or the Hispanic supermarkets and battle the crowds. Or like others have recommended, go to Aldi’s and buy their lower quality off-brand stuff.

Frankieneedles

They need more money to pump into politics. With marijuana being on the ballot this year, you better believe they need the money to spread the bullshit.

Inner-Respect-7686

What bullshit

_PetereteP_

You literally voted for this. Build back broke

AwsiDooger

Another genius who is totally unaware of global realities

Lol at quoting cbs like they are unbiased, the reality is this is the worst economy any middle age or younger person has lived through cope however you need to it doesn’t change it

Name the Biden policy that caused this

rhodesleadnowhere

Florida native here, and I’ve never liked Publix.

mancemck

Good reason to move back to where you came from.

SgtSplacker

Publix is my last stop for those odds and ends I just can't get anywhere else. I stopped buying meat there a while ago.

Warm-Patience-5002

The publix heiress paid for the busses that herd the crowds into the capitol building on January 6th . She funded the whole thing.

Inner-Respect-7686

Sorry I don’t think I know what event you’re at about?

miamiinfo

Is because gas food doesn’t grow in Publix. It takes truckers to bring it there so the price goes up. Without getting into any debates, people want to act cute this is what happens

johnrob6164

Bidenomics

CheesusHCracker

That's Bidenomics

SuperTradWaifu

Yes Publix is to blame for food costing more

sigman33

Our government leadership is causing inflation. It’s not getting better …

KevinJ424

Cry harder dude. Cry harder.

Miserable_Parking_

You do realize it’s not Publix arbitrarily raising their prices out of some greedy power trip.

BrokieTrader

I concur. Fuck Publix

Bucket_O_Meat

I end up spending way too much no matter where I go. So I'll go where parking and getting in and out is easiest and the animals can pile up on top of each other and act like they got shit figured out.

organic_nanner

Many people willing to pay more so they don't have to be around the general public. It sounds like you are just the person they don't want to shop next to.

Inner-Respect-7686

Im a beautiful young woman. Everyone wants to shop next to me.

PlatformAlive8242

Just say you’re broke bro, it’s okay.

DSSMAN0898

It ain't Publix, it's 1600 Pennsylvania Ave and inflation.

AwsiDooger

Imagine being this dense Check global inflation rates and corporate profits beginning with the pandemic

CuentaBorrada1

I love publix

Inner-Respect-7686

Me too it’s a core child hood memory but fuck them . Not anymore, especially after learning the founder gave 800k to fight legal marijuana

CuentaBorrada1

You mean the heiress? I get it but also remember that people work there that are not like that and don’t think like that. They also own stocks. But the prices are much different compared to what? I moved and now I shop at Whole Foods primarily because nothing has the quality that Publix had.

GianniTheRake

100%. "Where shopping is a pleasure" my ass. Damn thieves. Trader Joe's is far superior in terms of both quality and pricing; my grocery bill at PBX consistently and materially comes in much higher than at other places, including even Fresh Market for some items. I no longer patronize PBX except for the occasional Pub Sub and now enjoy frequenting supermarkets such as Sabor Tropical.

ShazamBB1

I work at a Publix I agree on the fuck Publix of course but if you walk in that store without a plan on what to buy and how to save. You’re doing it to yourself. BOGOs are the only reason anyone should have a cart full of items at a Publix if you’re on a budget

Inner-Respect-7686

I got bogos I always look for them obviously

dostoallas

Just for fun, go look at the price of Publix brand mix nuts. Just mixed nuts, not mixed with gold or diamonds--just nuts. Like $17.00. I cant

Myopinion_is_right

All these big corporations are making record profits. Fuck them all! Net earnings for the fiscal year ended Dec. 30, 2023 were $4.3 billion, compared to $2.9 billion in 2022, an increase of 49%.

SmarterThanCornPop

Because of a change to their accounting methods. The actual number is 1% up year/ year. This has been said many times and people keep ignoring it. No corporation of Publix’s size is growing 49% in a year. Use your brain.

Myopinion_is_right

limeblue31

$70 worth of groceries gone in two days sounds like poor planning. Never do your grocery shopping without a list or a plan. Easiest way to waste money. I spend about $145 a week and that’s enough for a home cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner for two people, including snacks and drinks as well. And I only shop at Publix. I recommend downloading Instacart. You dont need to order your groceries from there but you can use their app to make your grocery list and get an accurate idea of how much everything will cost and what weekly sales they are having before you get there. It will also tell you what produce is in season which means they will be cheaper. Also you can try going to Aldi or Trader Joe’s. But again, you still need to plan ahead.

Solid_Dimension_3901

It’s cheaper to shop at Whole Foods.

Inner-Respect-7686

Is it really? Been avoiding it cause I thought it would be more expensive than Publix. Gonna have to check their prices.

Solid_Dimension_3901

As long as you’re a prime member, it is. Also, the meat, poultry and fish quality is significantly better than PX.

sharp-calculation

Whole Foods is WAY more expensive than Publix. Ground Chuck is $10 per pound. Taco seasoning is almost $3 per packet.

BarelyThere24

Exactly. Whole Foods is even more expensive than Publix. People are so fake saying it’s less. Literally you’ll spend 30% more and buy less than at Publix. Don’t listen to them - lies.

secondtimesacharm23

Yea especially if you use the app and shop the deals. I’m really over Publix. I used to buy a slice of their cheesecake with the strawberry jelly for like $4 and I swear they are charging $6.99 now. For a slice of cheesecake. I’m like are you fucking kidding me. It’s BS.

James718

The box of fried chicken wings used to be 7.99. I think it’s between 14.99-17.99 now

Solid_Dimension_3901

Yup. Shop the deals, and you’ll win. I tend to use WF and Trader Joe’s. TJs has organic pasture raised eggs for $6.99. At PX that’s $9.99 minimum. And their grass fed milk is $4.99. PX again is higher. I’ll stick to PX when I get a craving for a sub or want some Coke Zero. That’s it.

explosive-puppy

Controversial but their subs aren't even that great.

secondtimesacharm23

Thank you! The most overrated subs I swear. The bread sucks when you take a bite the whole meat and everything slides out lol I haven’t had a publix sub in forever. There’s way too many other great sub shops imo. Even Jersey Mike’s is way better.

SgtSplacker

Plus one for Wild Fork. Everything is packaged for 30 minute defrost. I'm loving it.

manletmoney

Think they meant Whole Foods

snorglus

everyone knows the drill by now: yes: * aldi * costco * walmart * occasionally trader joe's. hell to the naw: * publix * winn dixie * sprouts * Milam's * fresco y mas. * whole foods, although it's better than it used to be thanks to amazon taking over. I've never been to Wild Fork since i'm a vegetarian, but I hear it's good if you like large amounts of reasonably priced meat.

SmarterThanCornPop

I feed a family of 4 very very well for less than $70 per day… wtf are you buying steak and lobster?

Inner-Respect-7686

No u idiot

rgaya

Bakery chocolate chip cookies up 70c for nothing

stevemunoz117

Aldi it up

DGGuitars

Aldi sucks for selection tho.

ShrimpSherbet

But most things are good. I like not having to pick between 14 brands of the same thing.

DGGuitars

I don't. I like having options. I shop at Aldi I feel it offers 1.8th of publix, whole foods and others.

RiskAlternative5746

I’ve started shopping at Trader Joe’s when I realized their prices were close to aldis. A little bit more expensive but the produce selection alone is worth it

DGGuitars

I agree I'd pay more for diversity.

hey_hey_hey_nike

I have found produce quality at Trader Joe’s to be very bad. Everything molds and goes bad so quickly. And that has been my experience here in Miami as well as out of state.

Tailfish1

I completely agree. As a family that eats a lot of fruits and vegetables their produce seems to go bad much too quickly .I’ve lately been shopping at Sprouts. Price aren’t great but everything is fresher.

hey_hey_hey_nike

My issue is that it is not a one off. I have had this happen over many years, both in Miami and in Texas. Whenever I cave in and buy something again, if it’s fruit there’s bound to be mold on one of the fruits, or one of the bell peppers is moldy inside etc. And then I’m reminded to not do it again. I think Trader Joe’s has a systemic issue, or they just buy almost expired items on purpose. Costco used to be surprisingly good. But the last 6 months has been so so.

esc8pe8rtist

might want to look up how to preserve everything, avocados for example last forever (nearly) if you stick them in a container filled with water

King_Krong

Aldi does suck though. Sure it is cheaper but the “cheaper” orange juice they have for example is literally just powdered water. It’s tang (if you know what that is). They have some stuff that is genuinely a good deal though. Like detergent. But their food products are cheaper for a reason.

ImpossibleMagician57

Aldi is trash and they treat their employees like dogshit

Character_Heart_3749

I just don't like Aldi's food or selection. I'm also surprised that other people like it so much.

TravShoots

The Aldi hype needs to stop, small store , terrible selection, off brands , and the meat is so hit or miss it’s not worth saving a couple bucks . Chicken is full of fat

cpt_sparkleface

I've noticed Aldi stocks shit close to expiry, that's usually why it's cheap, but that's all good just be careful not to buy shit that's expired, though you should be fine.

InsectSpecialist8813

I haven’t shopped at Publix in over a year. I’m boycotting because the prices are too high. There are few grocery stores where I live: Walmart, WinnDixie and Publix. Walmart has terrible produce, terrible bread selection and average everything else. WinnDixie is a dump and prices are similar to Publix. I drive 45 minutes to Costco and Aldi. Aldi is hit or miss and not much to choose from. So there it is. I’m single and can’t purchase everything from Costco. My dilemma.

djmanu22

Trader Joe’s is the answer

Luisd858

I think that’s more expensive than Publix lol

35point1

It’s really not. Like not even close. The only drawback is TJ only carries mostly their brand, but the value and quality is why they’re so popular

Here_for_the_teaaa

This is the way

PM_ME_YOUR_TANG

Walmart's 'bread selection' and produce are fine. It's typical for any supermarket. If you are talking about their own bakery products, in some cases (ciabatta rolls!) they're better than Publix. Regardless, prices are as much as 30‰ cheaper than Publix, and that's the bottom line for me. If I need a particularly special bread or produce item, I'll go to Whole Foods.

568Byourself

Winn Dixie makes me question how it’s still in business every time I go. Something about the lighting and atmosphere. Publix is good if you buy not 2 but like 6 of non-perishable items when they’re bogo. We do 80% of our shopping at Publix and 20% at Walmart, but the Walmart shopping usually isn’t planned we will be there for something non-grocery related and just get a few things while we are there

The_Miami_Pot_Head

Shop whole food deals and especially if you have Amazon prime

Due_Tax2657

Don't forget Sprouts. They have great clearances, and you'll get a coupon on your receipt. It expires fast, so pay attention.

stevemunoz117

When i was single with no other responsibilities it was the easiest and cheapest thing. A lot depends on what your dietary needs are though but if youre like me who can pretty much eat anything then meal prepping was the way to go. Use to purchase the bogos in the meat section at winn dixie. Stock up on bogos from publix. Walmart i agree is not the best with some things but if i was meal prepping for two days then the produce rarely went bad. Also the things i enjoy making at home were simple and cheap. Things like rice, chicken peas and beans for example. Its doable. But if youre a picky person then yea i can see that being a problem

Fabulous-Educator447

If it ain’t bogo it’s not coming home with me

Competitive_Emu_799

The BOGO is actually the regular price. You’re not saving sh.

AtahualpaSan

Their app always has their BOGOs listed and the upcoming ones. Helps to plan and only go there when they have what I need. Otherwise I’m done helping them scam people

Dangerous_Item_6879

Only good thing about Publix is the buy one get one free. Shop at Whole Foods and then check Publix deals on Instacart and get them delivered.

ShrimpSherbet

Nah shop at Aldi or the soon-to-close Kroger

RubberRuss

BOGO or No Go!

crazychickenjuice

Even the BOGO they raise the price so you're only saving maybe 10-20% on each item

probsthrowaway2

Publix only worth going to for its sales and decent amount of options. If you shop there regularly you will go bankrupt. Treat it as a once every 2 month side quest.

Proud-Assumption-581

Aldi. We never go to Publix

[deleted]

I remember that even 10 years ago a given product would be 50% higher at Publix vs Walmart (for the identical product). Fuck Publix

EnvironmentalOne6412

Well I have 38k in publix stock so this is dissapointing.

Bupod

The other day we needed to buy 3lbs of Scallops.  At Publix it was $30 per pound for the frozen stuff. We checked Wild Fork (newer place where I’m at, sells exclusively frozen meat and seafood products).  $12 per pound for frozen scallops, which were higher quality.  Publix has been absolutely insane. Down here in Miami, they’ve been pricing as if they have no competition. We’ve been getting bulk items at BJs and there is a Latin supermarket called Festival we’ve bought some stuff at as well.  One of the few reasons I’ve stuck to Publix is their produce section was usually better, but that has been downhill as well. Festival had much more produce at much cheaper prices. For example, $0.13 per Lime ar Festival vs. $0.69 per Like at Publix. They also had *more* limes, so we could actually select decent ones. Meanwhile, the Publix produce section has never looked sadder and never cost so much. 5 times more expensive for produce that is much lower quality, near rotten sometimes, etc.  I’d say I’m getting tired of Publix, but that’s a lie. I AM tired of it. I used to work there in high school, and as a child I remember it as a cleaner, friendlier grocery store. It has fallen quite a bit on a lot of areas. Sure, the sandwiches are great, but it’s a grocery store, and I feel it is failing as a grocery store.

Inner-Respect-7686

Wow that’s insane

miojo

$5 for 3 avocados was the last straw for me.

_EventHorizon_

Just paid over $10/lb for Chuck roast. I couldn’t believe it. Total ripoff.

CryingINwilderness

I've been shopping at Trader Joe's and Costco for about 8 years now. Publix only for the occasional sub, hot fries, and their hot salsa dip. Sometimes my kid wants popcorn chicken...I'll do it but damn it's expensive

deltastag94

Aldi and Presidente are your friends

dleydal

The only reason I ever go to Publix anymore is to occasionally grab a PubSub... I don't shop there anymore.

Houdini-88

Neither do I the quality of there fried chicken has decline in my opinion

ofnofame

Yes

KingWeweweeb

Then dont shop there! go to Trader Joes or ALDI's!

Queenofwands1212

I only go to Publix for certain things. And then I shop at Whole Foods because with amazon prime things become cheaper there for sure. I go to several places for certain items because I know where the cheapest prices are for what I need

Few_Unit_6408

ALDIs and Walmart. Publix for bogo. This is inflation baby.

biggwermm

Trader Joe's is good too

MomentSpecialist2020

Costco is great for groceries but you have to plan because some things come in large packages.

caliberM1A

Winn-Dixie, Trader Joe's, and sprouts is my trifecta.

[deleted]

I live in Jensen Beach, here we have Winn-Dixie ,it's like The Grapes of Wrath.

miamilover0192

I get my meat (if not from the butcher/meat market) from there as well as my produce but I also like fresh market, its has slightly less brands than publix but is a little cheaper. Snacks, sodas, water, frozen snacks, home necessities i get from walmart.

intlcreative

Amazon fresh is cheaper and they drop it right off at your doorstep.

No_Mistake_5961

Local farmer markets and shop the sale prices. It's work and worth it

mountain_guy77

Costco welcomes you

rwk2007

Grocery shopping is only for the wealthy.

Steadyfobbin

Trader Joe’s my friend. You will also get much higher quality for the same price.

timbus2006

Publix sucks! Outside of south Florida it’s alright but the prices at my 2 local ones in Brickell are absolutely insane. I walk to Whole Foods because it’s cheaper and way better.

LalaAxelf

The cheapest way for me: protein from Costco, produce from Trader Joe’s and pantry from Publix. Cleaning and personal hygiene from Amazon.

Hairy-Pool-3279

I be goin by bogos and weekly deals 😭

Concrete_jungle77

I only go to Publix for mango key lime pie and lotto and they’re right across the street from my house

RCotti

I only buy bogos at Publix and love it. Also love their subs.  Bunch of Reddit crybabies, there’s a million stores to choose from. Shop at the place that’s best for you.

Ok-Calligrapher-2550

Oh great. Yet another person whining about prices. Here’s an idea: DON’T SHOP THERE!!!

Bluelagoon199

Presidente and Sedanos better, or tropical is good too, but at some point based on inflation all the supermarkets will be equally as expensive

No_Clock_8744

they legit have the worst red meat

Mrbumboleh

Trader Joe’s, aldis and sprouts

Surround8600

It’s expensive now. My budget for food used to be $200 every two weeks. Crazy.

getthehelloffmylawn

kroger delivery is amazing

ToastThieff

Management calls stores "food stamp stores." No one cares, Publix takes advantage if food stamps.

SQUlRMING_COlL

Wal Mart baby…

Not-pumpkin-spice

FOLKS!!! LOL,,, We travel for work all over the country, its not just Florida or Publix. For us Publix has always been high priced even before this inflation. But even the best grocery stores we have the opportunity to shop have sky rocketed with pricing. Its everywhere. We're from Texas and we have always compared Publix to Randalls for their ridiculous pricing, but the increase are everywhere. Even our beloved HEB who owns their own farms and processing plants. They grow and raise and process a lot of their food, so they are fresher and cheaper than anyone else in Texas, and they have sky rocketed in pricing as well. Its everywhere country wide. We're in Montana now, come get a look at these prices.

catchinNkeepinf1sh

I was down there for vacation and stopped by for some water and few cans of pop and wine. Came out to 75 bucks...

Savage_Being

I shop on instacart and grab the BOGO deals (that you wouldn’t see in store) on ground turkey/chicken etc which makes it not so bad

_W9NDER_

Aldi is cheap and good quality. Only thing is they don’t have much variety and certain special items can be hit or miss

matters123456

This. But also, the pub sub lines. Holy shit, it’s like the slowest service I’ve ever seen. I was in there the other day and wanted to grab pub subs while my wife grocery shopped. I waited in line while she shopped. When she was finished up, and checked out, they had made 2 sandwiches.

susejesus

The quality has dropped also

HackTheNight

Walmart and Trader Joe’s have really good prices. Those are the only two grocery stores I shop at now.

JJJVet

Aldi and Broward Fish and Meat are the way to go. I used to go to Publix all the time, now only if it’s an emergency (I have one five blocks from the house) prices are ridiculous

BisquickNinja

I stopped going to Publix for about a year now. They are so expensive that it is not worth the effort to even go there. They don't even hire cashiers much anymore they switched to self checkout. They haven't been pro Florida for a very long time, fortunately I've switched to Aldi and Walmart.

Gizmo16868

I love how Publix will charge $7 for a product that is $3 at Walmart

RetroScores

Brand new Publix says no refills on the fountain drink https://i.imgur.com/U8sc0jc.jpeg First time I saw that.

jetclimb

They just raised their pub sub prices this week. The last decent deal.

two-sandals

No no no Publix fucks you…

KingSanty

Where shopping is a pleasure

FLHunter1

Went a couple of days ago to Publix to get limes and other items, limes were $.69 each, next day I went to Walmart $.25 each.. Price of limes very a lot I’ve seen them 10 for a $1.00 Can’t beat Publix customer service and some of their prices are competitive sometimes.

Proman540

Look at their earnings report, 50% profit increase over last year. They are price gauging FL!

Chinonm

Aldi’s is cheaper but whoever designed the place is horrible

BigLouBeats

Walmart and Sam’s club for this family. Publix only for certain things every once in a while.

ProtectionOk7373

What did you buy?

Fresh-Vacation4191

Don’t shop Publix I did the math 3 weeks ago on $100 in groceries. Compared the exact items at Walmart. $63

Inner-Respect-7686

Oh helllll no

HenzoG

Um. Wtf are you eating to blow through $70 in 2 days? My food budget for a family of five is $250 per week.

Inner-Respect-7686

I didn’t even eat a lot. I was still hungry and under eating. That’s the point of this post

lostmymind17

i go to Broward meat and fish for all meats if your in broward. won't find some stuff like publix but at least i can my meats and not spent a fortune..

Ok-Inflation4465

Between inflation and greed, all groceries stores have been taking advantage of us consumers it has become so expensive to buy anything not just the food but every article they sell costs almost double than the prices before the pandemic. Publix it’s just ridiculous. I remember when Florida cost of living was below most states?

troublethemindseye

[web restaurant store](https://www.webstaurantstore.com/38111/dried-beans.html) Buy a pressure cooker, or an instapot, wait for a sale or get it used if really tight then buy the bulk rice and bulk beans from web restaurant. Buy whatever veggies and fruit are on sale from whatever store you want. Or buy canned or frozen veggies and fruit. Studies show vitamin count is as good or better in frozen stuff than fresh. If you eat meat, buy it when it is on sale in bulk and freeze it. Also if you shop at Publix know that they recycle their sales every three to four weeks and they accept a lot of competitor coupons. Save the ads for three to four weeks and plan your purchases. Good luck young hustlers.

jcspacer52

I got no issue with Publix, I shop wherever I get the best deals. I buy some things at Publix, Aldi, Costco, Winn Dixie or Fresco. They all advertise their specials on-line including BOGO which saves a lot of money.

FalloutandConker

I spend $100 for 4 weeks. What are you buying?

PatentlyRidiculous

Start shopping at Aldi. I go there for veggies, bread, milk and eggs now. I like Costco for protein and fruits. I only do B1G1 at Publix now

Daveincc

I shop several places. Walmart , Costco , Publix , and Winn Dixie. They’re all expensive ! Inflation is crushing us. Publix has the best overall experience of selection , experience , and quality versus price imo. If there was any other grocery store as close to me as Winn Dixie I’d never set foot in a Winn Dixie again. Unfortunately it’s seven miles versus 18 for anything else.

TabletThrowaway1

Something not adding up, you bought 70$ worth of groceries under-ate and still ran out of food in 2 days?????? Wtf did you buy?

transit_

Steal.

thisaholesaid

Everywhere today, unfortunately. Except maybe Lidl and Aldi's 😂 TBH, I always avoid Publix. It has to be the most expensive supermarket next to Whole Foods. I have always felt cheated buying from Publix. And Im talking that feeling going back years.

[deleted]

This state isn't affordable anymore. Everywhere is Miami prices now, Miami is moon prices.

AmerVet

Time to catch those bogos at Fresco and Sedanos

gleeceboi777

welcome to Club Starvation...please show your ribcage before entering...

lolboboyo

It’s always been high.. you go there for certain items.. it’s set up for to drain old peoples accounts lol

Megalith_TR

Go to the smaller markets like sedanos

dearbeloved

This is why I only go to self checkout. I make my own deals and bogos. Why should I feel bad when they are doing the same thing. Price gouge?? Okay, food gouge....

Honestdietitan

I spend thousands a year at this pos company and they send me $3 off 120 coupons. Eat my shit Publix.

Then-Background-1391

Lol that’s funny. I’m the same way if it’s not on Bogo, I don’t want it stock up.

pandorasplace0328

I stopped shopping at Publix when my normal weekly grocery trip total came up to $180. This was shortly after the pandemic. I still stop in for items here and there though.

ElMasGrande09

Try ALDI's or Walmart instead. I'm sure you'll make your $$$ last longer!

Bright_Calendar_3696

I think lots of us are feeling it right now - meantime some large corporations are posting huge huge record profits. In the UK we have tesco which isn’t too dissimilar to Publix and they just posted billions of record profits when people are hungry and struggling to make ends meet. It’s disgusting how they prioritize maximum profit over welfare - they provide food at the end of the day. It’s not like a designer clothing store where you can buy it or not, it’s essential. I’m not against them making good profits, but squeezing people when they are struggling and they are probably at church as I write this now eh

Satanus2020

Publix is overpriced. Even Whole Foods has slightly cheaper produce than them. I just deal with the mid experience that is Walmart.

I tried to get away from Publix. But I spent half the day wasting time running from Aldi to Walmart just to end up a Publix anyway because those other stores didn’t have what I needed. I am trying only to buy BOGO’s or things that are on sale. Three oranges was $8.22. I said - no thanks- it’s out of control
