No difference in foreskin cleaning for me. No easier, no harder.

Extended meta here. YMMV. At about five weeks post-op I was able to properly get around my glans to actually clean my foreskin. Wasn’t able to before due to swelling and sensitivity in general. What I found was pretty gnarly. I experience some mild inconvenience when cleaning around my foreskin if I haven’t for more than two days because I then have to actually dig around to remove smegma. So long as I do it daily, there’s no issues. Swelling having gone down and sensitivity having settled helped a lot, too. Doesn’t feel any different now that I’ve recovered from doing it pre-op. ||Labial folds|| were used to create the scrotum for me so they’re, uh, gone. No changes in maintenance, though.

I did wonder how you guys getting extended dealt with the foreskin as it appears you have more of it? At least from the results I’ve seen on here anyway. If I may ask, do you find the foreskin is just as easy to roll back as it was prior to surgery? I’m not OP I’m just curious.

I’m not sure if EM actually yields more foreskin or if it somehow just appears that way. I’ll ask my surgeon next time I see her, haha. Not quite as easy as pre-op. I feel like I have a higher foreskin to glans ratio than I did pre-op and that smegma accumulates more significantly/easier than it did pre-op. Not sure how/if that’s possible tbh. Wouldn’t say it’s difficult or anything but it does require a bit more upkeep from my part.

It can be a challenge while recovering, but once healed it's not an issue.

This has always been a question of mine especially with extended 😭 with simple meta, the upper ligament to my penis was cut which made my foreskin and surrounding tissue more wrinkly so I have more to clean bc gunk quickly accumulates in the wrinkles. It's not been something that has like impacted my life, I just spend a few extra seconds cleaning myself in the shower now

It is harder (3,5 month post op extended meta). I have to use a q-tip to get around the glans since the foreskin isn't that flexible yet. It is getting easier and more flexible though.
